We put up live traps with all different kinds of snacks all around the house and caught 4 mice that way, but it took us about 1 week and then we didn’t catch anything anymore, but we knew there were more mice in the house. And we were going away for a week, so my father decided to lay out poison and also put up a mice trap that killed the mice when they stepped on it. It was sad, but the live traps weren’t working well enough, and even if a mouse had gotten caught in it while we were away, it would have died of starvation instead. We obviously didn’t take them down though. Sure enough, when we came back, there was a mouse caught by the death trap and a few days later I saw one staggering through the kitchen, it had clearly been poisoned and was close to death. Didn’t even try to run away anymore, was just sitting there. My father took it outside to end its life, to prevent it from suffering for several hours longer. Death wasn’t preventable at that point, so he just made it faster. We didn’t catch any more mice after that. We still have some in our walls but we’ve had them there since forever and they can’t come inside from there, so that’s not too bad. Every once in a while we’ll put up a live trap in our balcony and catch a mouse and then it’ll be quiet in the walls for a while, until the next mouse moves in.

I think my calco cat objects to this. One time she woke me up sounding like a demon cat just because she didn't want to share with her brother. I traded the poor thing for canned cat food & let him go outside my door because i figured he wouldn't dare come back. I thought there was a 50/50 chance of either no mice coming near my apartment or the cat was quietly & completely dealing with the issue. Yeah it was the cat taking care of it. I got a couch thry can't get under & i finally cleaned out under it. I found 7 milk jug rings, 2 hairbands & a poor dead mouse. I knew she was still pissed about that trade. But like I say if the mice stay out of my place they'll be just fine. Because I have indoor only kitties to protect them & the wildlife. As in they've always been indoor kitties who hate going beyond the porch. Yet she's one heck of a hunter. Her brother just wants me to catch the moving kitty treats aka bugs for him & give him them to eat. Whats really ironic though is that they were raised with pet rats. I remember that one running across my foot and into that little hole. Then it got into our honey jar and drowned :( we also had another one behind our fridge, if had brownish adorable like freckle markings on its back and we caught it and released it. The nest behind our fridge was made of the ruffles and laces from my cute little baby shirts, as well as the fake hair stuff you put around your bun on your head for ballet. That other mice had a nest in our Ac/heating vent in the car. There were babies in the nest and I don't remember what happened to them. We probably let them go. Mice are a huge part of my infant/toddler/childhood. ❤

Basically, all they care about is that it is safe from predators and elements, and that there is food. So... Basically any human home without a cat (and even many with cats if the mice figure out that the cat won't bother them)
All mice do is try to find a warm comfy home
I was just gonna say, if these owners have mice, NO ONE is safe because I don't know anyone with a house as tidy as that! 😂
At my dads house we keep on getting mice in our barn and our house and we put traps but we only got like 6 of them 😢 there is like hundreds of them.
Get some cats they’ll have a feast
@@Doulingo-yr7md I do I have 1 but she doesn’t eat them she only like gofers
@@Mrpotatos1 Oop I’m getting 1 soon once’s it’s old enough

I would recommend watching mouse trap Monday’s sometime he has live traps and sometimes not he has a couple pet mice
Mice are so cute, I remember at my old house there were a whole bunch of mice and there was a mouse hole like the ones from Tom and Jerry by the fireplace with little tiny/sticky foot prints trailing inside. ❤
I work in attics, basements, and crawl spaces ranging from 1700s to brand new. Every house has mice in them. It doesnt matter how clean you live they always get in
Muy muy bien respecto animales de ratón
Why does cupcake look so guilty
Those are cute traps
Thanks for caring about the beautiful creatures the world calls "pests"
Ew
They contain diseases
Mice spend cold weather foraging and avoiding predators! Letting them go in a "remote wooded area" is only keeping them alive so long. They found their way into a house and thats exactly what they will be looking for during the cold. So..do we really have to kill them? No! Should we...yes!!!
Mice should get an union.
cupcake is so cute
I felt bad for cupcake ❤😢
They're SO CUTE!! ❤❤
Kindness is free❤ Bless you❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The only reason you deleted my comment is cause you know it’s true and it hurts . Stop putting your neighbors and kids in danger .
Reall!!! This is so fucking true!
Why are you so pressed by a situation that doesn't even concern you. You don't live there, you don't really have much of a say on this place's affairs.
Thank you,God created them too, who are we to kill them, how would you like to get trapped and killed. Thank you for caring for nature,# Animal, creature lover❤❤❤❤❤❤🐿️😺🐭🦝🐶🐇🕊️🐠🦋
Remote wooded area. The snakes are going to be eating good that night.
Lol stop
I mean, they’re prey animals. If they become prey, so be it, that’s far better than a painful death in a trap just to be tossed in a trashcan to rot. Regardless, they are far better survivors than you give them credit for. Sorry, but this isn’t the gotcha comment you think it is, it’s very unoriginal actually
@@mousetales The ratio on that goes hard XD, we'll spoken
@@mousetales many traps nowadays aren't painful and just instant. The electrical ones for instance, they die near instantly.
Misguided. If YOU want to live with them, release them in your own house.
They are adorable!😂
Those carry diseases 🤡
That's a mouser! 🐀🐭
That's a good idea but if you catch them alive and let them go somewhere else they will go in someones else's house and then probably find a deadly trap just saying it's probably easier to use normal mouse traps that kills them
Unfortunately, a lot of people haven't been educated on the cruelty of most mouse traps. She can't help what happens to the mouse after she releases them, and I'm pretty sure she releases them around the forest where it won't be easy to sneak inside another residence.
Listen more closely. Where did I say I would be releasing them…
"Remote wooden area." Did you catch that? *Remote* Wooden area One more time, R e m o t e Wooden area.
For those wondering these are deer mice they are native. You can tell by the white bellies and brown color.
Jsou nádherné ❤️
Love the bug eyes...
thank you for all this info and what to do with the mice after getting all of them
Thank you so much for doing these harmless traps, while still taking them out of the home.

Yes, thank you! I want people to know that both are possible
I'd love to know where you got the coloured traps???
I can’t wait for you to go to jail. You were not allowed to release any animal on a park system or somebody else’s property. So you’re going to jail.
My parents use bucket traps except they put water in the buckets :(
Who’s to say they’re not coming right back in cause you’re feeding them
She said she was going to release them in an remote wooded area, which I’m guessing is at least a few miles away from her home
Y’all really don’t listen do you. Try again. Where are they being released, and why does that make your comment dumb?
@@mousetales ma’am. All you said was remote wooded area. Edit: I’m not sure if you meant to, since it’s really hard to convey specific tones over text, but you are coming off as really rude. I’m taking it as if you are calling me stupid, and I really don’t like that, considering I was just helping the person above me out. The least you could do, as the channel owner, is to be polite to your commenters and have some patience with people who don’t know as much as you do
@@quessiantyou weren't tagged in her message, she wasn't replying to you. When people reply to the original comment, there's no tagged name. That only shows up if they're replying to someone else who replied to the original comment. The term "y'all" is just natural slang that's actually only referring to the OP. Relax.
Hey chill out don’t let these people upset you😉
you are a sweetie for taking care of them until you can release them as a group
