But if you’re a team like Baltimore was when they drafted Lamar at 32nd overall and you’re already built well with a serviceable starter in place… I wouldn’t think twice about pulling the trigger on this kid. His ceiling is higher than the International Space Station. He’s 20 yo though and hasn’t played a lot of football so you can’t afford to damage his confidence.

Even on the "good" plays you highlight, you can see how late some of the throws are or just off target enough that they turn open receivers into near interceptions too. Wish the best for him, he's so damn young he has plenty of time to grow. Getting a good coach is going to be key and learning to throw with more anticipation.

  • You can help him with his accuracy. That isn't the only thing that can make you a top QB. As you can see with some QBs that come out of college doesn't even become a starter at all. You can be the greatest QB in college history and have great accuracy but still fail in the NFL. It's all about developing the player and how much work they are willing to put in too get better. If they don't then they just will never get better. Tim Tebow did one thing with the Broncos and they didn't see his potential to be a starting QB at all. After that he never really improvedas a QB in the NFL compared to his college days. You can say the same for Cam Newton as he continued to grow in the NFL when he was drafted. • The hype train is always crazy. If you look at his NCAA stats, none of it says "starting QB in the NFL". He's only 20, only started 1 year, and should stay in college one more year. He's a project for anybody that takes him as he won't be ready for 2+ years. Personally, unless he's a complete playmaker that can carry a team like Lamar Jackson, I wouldn't take any college QB under 55% accuracy, and at least a 2:1 TD/INT ratio (Richardson has neither of these). Accuracy, and decision making are the most important things in the NFL... unless you're Vick/RG3/Lamar Jackson. But who knows, the Broncos took Tebow when he couldn't throw a spiral... maybe someone will take this FL QB early?

He’s got a horrible arm compared to Stetson and the rest of the group, but he’s big so teams can “build off that” garbage, just like mahomes and Allen they did little to average in college yet they got a chance and theyre out performing everyone now with the right ball club take mahomes to the raiders or the redskins and he sucks or barely an average qb, send him to New England Tom Brady gets forgotten, plain and simple

  • I think most will wait on this guy. Maybe a 4th or 5th round pick at best. The reason for this opinion is he is a project and defintiely with the rigth work could be an amazing player. There are players coming into their Junior and Senior years in college who offer the same size, speed but are developing into possibly the next super star. A good example is Univeristy of Tennessee's back up QB Joe Milton who filled in during the bowl game since Hendon Hooker was out for the season due to injury. Milton is 6'5 and 244 lbs. In fact, I think Hooker is a better prospect among others. Just my thoughts as looking at this through the lens of a GM I find Richardson too big of a gamble in the first 3 rounds.

  • You know people have compared him to Cam Newton in terms of physical attributes, but i see this as more of a repeat of the 2011 draft. Why am I comparing this upcoming draft to one that happened years ago? Well the question marks at the Quarterback Position. We all remember 2011. Gabbert or Newton. Who would go first. Newton the Physical monster with great athleticism for his size. While Gabbert was more of an average player. Looking at their combine, Newton runs away from Gabbert. Their game tape proves it. On my board CJ and Young haven’t moved from their spots while Levis and Bennett have gone up for me. The problem with Richardson is his tape is rough. He needs to walk into a great situation with a great coach to work out his weaknesses. But as it stands I will not move him up at all just because of his physical gifts.

  • I'm a Colts fan and I believe Richardson (AR15) is the QB that Indy wants to take, if he is available once they get on the clock. He is the perfect QB for our new HC based on what he was able to accomplish with Hurts in Philly. Obviously AR15 is not most accurate but with his size and speed he will be able to extend plays at ease which is the biggest problem we've had since Luck retired. We tried using traditional QBs like Rivers and Ryan but ultimately those experiments ended with mostly poor results. Wentz could somewhat extend plays but he lacked the speed that AR15 has and he usually ended up making poor decisions once he got outside the pocket. Lamar Jackson is possibly available right now and I almost guarantee that we would have pursued him if he was available at any point during the last 4 seasons but AR15 is similar to Jackson as far as playing style goes so why pay a QB to the biggest NFL contract ever when you can get a much cheaper rookie QB who has the potential to be just as good. I personally think AR15 is the best fit for Indy and I really hope Ballard is sold on him once the draft is here.

You must not have watched his games just highlight videos wtf makes you think he’ll be the colts answer in the NFL when he was the reason for failure in florida. Bust 😂 you do not want him any team that takes him in round one failed big tim. He would be great for qb sneaks and used on a team that mixes up qbs for certain plays like the saints but never a starter.

  • The challenges that Richardson has, has been studied for millenia! We need a new word and term to describe this. GIANTISM is all I've ever heard along with a bull in a china shop etc etc. Every superhuman Trait comes at the expense of other traits so idk if the nfl can change enough rules to truly accommodate for this but they've been trying . The next best thing is smaller qb to try take advantage oof incentivised rules of mobility while not dealing with trying to fix GIANTISM . Or whatever ya want to call it.

  • You could either look at it like he made a tight window throw or you can be realistic and say he threw it into double coverage 🤷🏻‍♂️ The guy on the right at the flat was wide open. He didn’t even look that side.

    • The route Richardson targeted was ideal for a 2-deep look. As soon as he saw the FS rotate into the deep half, Richardson knew he wouldn't need to look to the other side, nor would he want to because he needed 8 yards. It's also important to note that the defensive backs are playing with zone eyes. Just because something might look open doesn't mean it would be if Richardson was looking in that direction.
