Hey guys! Today I am FINALLY doing another baking video where I take one of my art creations (in this case one of my thrift store makeovers) and attempt to bake and bring it to life. These are always such a cluster of fails and struggles since I obviously have no clue how to bake properly. But you guys ask for it, so here it is!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 25 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. Pro tip! For a smooth frosting you can freeze the cake, wait a while, then fill a cup or something with hot water and use your frosting spatula to smooth out your frosting! I did this in my culinary school! 😊
So out the hot water on the spatula? Also how long to keep the cause in the freezer for?

I think it's more that she accepts the mistakes. I got so irritated by her earlier baking videos bc she would just beat herself to the ground about a MINOR inconvenience that didn't matter at all. Now she is just "yes I see that mistake but it's okay" and I love it

Hiii! I little tip for you, if you can't get the last bit out while sifting, you can grab a spoon and mix whatever you're sieving while it's still in the sift(er). It will go though the holes very easily!!!

Baking Tip: to get a smoother layer of frosting, apply it then freeze the cake. Then you put a cake knife in warm water for a little bit and use it on the cake to smooth it out❤🍰🍕

Baking tip: after you carve the cake freeze it for at least an hour which locks the crumbs in so when you frost it the crumbs don’t fall off as much(if you don’t wanna do a crumb coat)

@@alanahjf1530 That could be true. Would be a smoother look. If done correctly. But it might be too much of a process to create. And this look more realistic. Not saying it is a bad idea. Just maybe the reason. Maybe with fondant, it would look too plastic? Don't really bake that much. Unless just plain cupcakes for a special event like Christmas. Or whenever I can help a family member with it. Which is not much I don't bake. So no fancy cakes from me. Just watch a lot of baking shows.

Im still rly shocked about the baby and I have been following her for 5+ years. I remember when she didnt post, my friends thought that she was pregnant, like they guessed ahead of time. Hiii Moriah, at 7:20 a hack i learnt from baking shows is that you shouldnt put your cake into the fridge while it is still in the pan as the cake might stick to the pan and wont come out. Hope this helps for future videos. You always make my fridays better 😁

The trick to smooth frosting is multiple layers. Put the cake in the fridge in between layers to harden the frosting and it will be easier to work with

I’d recommend if you ever want to re do this, have the crust be a cookie, like sugar or short bread cookie could work really well. I think they have box mixes for them too should that be your preferred route. Always love these baking videos! 😊
