    • Dude every punch from him would hurt a non conditioned human.

      @stemilne201@stemilne2017 жыл бұрын
    • Ste Milne but the other guy was talking about boxing here, so your "non condotioned human" statement is irrelevant. Anyone who box should first and foremost be conditioned before going into the ring, right? Loma doesn't have great punching power but it's enough to keep a fighter honest once they're able to taste a couple of punches from him. Try to accept that deficiency (not a weakness) so you would appreciate Loma more.

      @ImALefty08@ImALefty087 жыл бұрын
    • True, Loma doesn't have devastating power, but it is good enough that when he hits his opponents, many times he hurts them because they never saw the punch, like his left hooks to the body.

    • He doesn't need devastating power , he out works and outboxes every opponent to the point of frustration to were they do something risky and leave themselves vulnerable to power shots.

  • So, I'm a 'right-handed southpaw' naturally, and when I got really into martial arts and boxing as a passion more than a side hobby, I remembered watching a video that said there's no such thing as a right-handed southpaw, and I remember being so conflicted because that stance really went for me, and my fighting style was very complementary to it (right hand in front for the technical setting up of the brute force punches and combinations of the left hand). I also went "I've never seen a rightie box in the southpaw stance! Am I wrong?" And a few minutes in, the video mentioned both Bruce Lee and Vasiliy Lomachenko, and I was sold, because cmon, Bruce Lee is a hell of a role model to look up to right?! I was just glad I had SOMEONE I could look up to and study to improve. And then, I wondered who Lomachenko was. So I went on KZhead, looked him up, and I was HOOKED. This guy is a phenom. I was super excited when I remembered that he's a right-handed southpaw, because WHAT A MAN I could look up to and learn from! I honestly couldn't ask for a better role model, because WoW.

  • I don't get why people consider varied and sometimes complex training methods "weird". Be it in boxing, mma, tkd, kick boxing, karate etc... I especially don't get why so many "professionals" consider such training methods as being "weird". If you pay attention and think, you can easily see how each training method makes sense, considering the end goals of fighting sports and martial arts. We are complex beings with complex bodies. Isolated training methods and schedules can only take you so far.

    • Wtf that is crazy how you really try comparing lomas foot work to Dominic "wanna-be micheal corleone personality" Cruz. Just because you move from stance to stance and move around a lot doesn't mean you have good footwork. Cruz can't even do one stance let alone 2. When Cruz moves its pointless and energy wasting I mean if your fighting another person who doesn't even have amateur level boxing it's effective but not against even a journeymen pro boxer will that work.

      @DanielGarcia-my7kh@DanielGarcia-my7kh7 жыл бұрын
    • Derek Shelby even joe Rogan put Cruz on blast in his podcast when Dominic tried bragging of how his style is so effective and super hard to learn or figure out Joe told him it was not all that and not hard to master or crack in a nice way. Dominic looks ridiculous and drunk doing it not talented. Even canelo has better footwork.

    • Because even if they added it they would be playing catch up... And not to mention, I'm certain they change up the routine regularly to keep nuero plasticity and adaptive learning while preventing rigid and repetitive motions. At the top is about reflexive response to stimulus and angles of attack while also not telegraphing by being set in any one way/pattern. Imho

    • This is a relaxed training, showing his moves to the press. He doesn't do anything that much out of the ordinary. Look at how he keeps rotating. He keeps facing the press and does a little exercise for the cameras. Nothing too revealing. This is to keep the press happy and to spread his name on social media through these videos and articles. It's not a full blown training. Just something they HAVE to do for the press once in a while

    • My Name This is just a workout not a spar It doesn’t show any game plans and such. Opponents study moves on their previous fights and yeah That’s lomas normal training he’s not trying to confuse his opponents or anything. This is circuit training, also he trains both of his brains hemispheres to work together and other brain workouts which 90% of the fighters don’t do
