ADDITIONAL REVIEW NOTES:
FP sensor is definitely WAYYY better
Finally perfected after 3 years
Camera mic surprisingly better despite being on the top/bottom
Battery life is good. I am getting a very solid 1.5 days out of this phone. Easily makes it through long days too
S20 regular is substantially shorter
Reverse wireless charging while charging your phone is no problem at all - no overheating or anything
Lack of SD card slot doesn’t bother me much. I liked it for camera stuff before but every camera is wireless now anyway
MUCH better fingerprint protection vs S20
Still slippery though, but fewer fingerprints get on the device
I think the screen looks great with adaptive 120Hz and Samsung’s signature color and brightness
I am happy to see less stuff on the camera bump
Lack of depth camera is honestly fine.
Software compensates for live focus mode
I know very few people who used 3D scanner
WAY easier to place a screen protector on this flat screen
The UWB will probably be nice to have for Galaxy Tag+ (since S21 reg doesn’t)
CONS
No MST Pay
Some people have experienced overheating issues
Sometimes you can notice that it is adaptive 120Hz but it is hard to do, especially if you’re not looking for it
I REALLY wish this had MagSafe
I wish there was a black and gold version, but I guess a skin works
Keep losing GPS signal
Overall very incremental improvements (with some downgrades)
The good thing about a phone with incremental improvements is no issues

  • That is the most accurate and honest opinion I've seen on KZhead yet. Also, for the snow, I recommend turning the AI mode off. That makes a significant difference. I don't have that issue on the Exynos version though, but on the SD variant, I think the AI struggles with snow as a background in sunlight.

    • @@iamronaldo7764 let my try to help a little here. These phones are exactly same except 4 things: 1) Display: s21 has 6.2" and plus has 6.7" 2) Battery size: s21 has 4000 mAH vs 4800 mAH of plus 3) Build Quality: s21 has plastic back while plus has glass back 4) Price: S21 is 800 and plus is 1000 (this is US based price so idk where u live and also those are starting price, Amazon always giving special offers where they reduce prices by 100 to 200 dollars so u can keep looking for those). These are the only things that are different between them (color choices might vary as well). The things that should be ur deciding factor is if u want a big phone or u r a more of a compact phone lover. U might get a little bit better battery life in plus but s21 will still give u great battery life so it matters if u r a light, moderate or heavy pro user. And lastly u consider whether the price difference is worth it. I hope this helps.

  • I received my S21plus on Nov.2nd. On Nov.6th I charged it on my wireless charger and when I removed it it was very warm but not excessively warm then I noticed the back had shattered. The insurance will not cover to repair because the phone still works so far but the appearance is heartbreaking. Love my phone but I am so upset about the appearance of the back. I will get a case that covers it but I still know it's shattered 😔

I have the SD variance and the only time the phone gets warm is when I wireless charge the phone. I have fast charging, super fast charging and fast wireless charging all turned off in settings. Watch tons of KZhead and other things. No problem. Don't think it's going to be a issue, just something I've noticed. Keep up the good work Mike.

Not in the market for S21+ since my S20+ is less than a year old and at the price of Samsung phones, don't think I would upgrade to the S21 lineup, unless necessary. With this I am planning to give my 128 GB card a new use when I switch from Note 10+ to S21+.
