Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the curved screen. That's a huge deal breaker for me, having been stuck with the curved edges on my S10+ for the past 2 years

@@colins5142 removing outdated features to keep the price down. Most people dont need additional storage because they dont use all of the storage phones come with naturally. If you need a phone with additional storage or phone jack then there are plenty of other options, samsung is known for giving lots of options
Pre orders in a physical store here in the philippines for a an s21 ultra would give you a buds pro, a smart tag, galaxy tab A 8.0 and a 25watt travel adaptor. Pretty neat!

I wish they made nicer color options for the ultra. It’s so frustrating that they continue to give us the non-pretty colors with higher spec phones. They did it with previous releases too. Why can’t I have all the high specs in pink 😭

I went with the S21 and am upgrading from my S9+. The flat screen is what really sealed it for me. I am TIRED of having to deal with the shitty temperered glasses on curved displays. The back not being glass is honestly best for me as it's one less worry for something shattering and I always use a case. Got the 256GB option and not having an SD slot doesn't bother me as I transfer to my PC when I record or take a lot of pictures. I use buds so I could care less about no headphone jack. Really wanted it for the screen, 5G and processor upgrade alone but the camera upgrade and other features not on the S9+ are nice too. I couldn't grab the 45-W adapter (OOS) but did get a new 25W and the Charge Pad Duo with my credit, I'm honestly pretty stoked!

Good video. I feel that the S21 took cues from the S20FE, and that was the best S20 variant, especially in Exynos territories where 5G version was Snapdragon. The lack of microSD card expansion is not too much of an issue. I have SanDisk Dual Drive USB memory sticks to backup from my phones. There are many users who never use or don't have expandable storage. A bit of house keeping is all that's needed. Camera test the S21 ULTRA vs Note 20 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max vs Huawei Mate 40 Pro+.

How do you think the tempered glass screen protectors look for the ultra? Will they be the horrible dot matrix things with the adhesive on the edges only? I want the ultra, but I want a flat screen.
My gripe with the Ultra editions,have always been the lack of colours,compared to the pluses... as to why Samsung's been doing it,is an absolute mystery!
It's a marketing gimmick.
They won't sell as much ultras as as the standards.

I opted for the online red version available with Samsung on their site. Trading in my Note 10+ got me a buttload of stuff with their bundles. I highly recommend checking them out if you want to buy outright. The Thanos edition looks cool, but I got the Iron Man edition to go with my red Galaxy buds.

A point to note between rounded and flat glass is durability. The flat screen will be a LOT harder to break than the rounded on a drop

I think Samsung will see the lowest sales of their Galaxy Series with this version. Along with the pandemic but they are removing features like the micro SD storage will cause people to just hold onto their current phones. That's one thing that makes Android phones unique from Apple. Having the ability to use external storage. In that case, people might as well switch to Apple phones. Their camera quality is usually superior in most comparison tests. Maybe Samsung is trying to push people away from the Galaxy and Notes devices. They want them to go with their folding devices maybe? Unless that also won't have an external storage option either. 🤷🏾♂️
Well, they are indeed beginning with their TVs, so that's no joke. I think they'd be saving the environment more if they replaced their phone boxes with that like lf the TVs, foldable and reusable from any angle. If it means killing the premium feel of the box then I'm down.

Saw this phone at Best Buy today on display.....it is beautiful! Coming from a note 20 ultra, I think the S21 plus will be the perfect phone for me.... much more comfortable and lighter. Also loving the flat screens on the s21 and s21 plus models. They are nice looking and the camera bump is very much improved from the previous model!

Love what samsung did, went back on price and learn their lesson. I personally still debating between the s21 and plus. I'm a small phone person, even though I'm a tall man with large hands, I just like that portability factor, plus at home I got my big tablet galaxy s7 plus. Love the flat display and I'm ok with full HD since most people once immerse won't tell the difference on such small screens. I'm ok with no chargers, since I rather pay less and get my own charger which I have now plenty. No SD? Well, I'm going to miss it, but at least their internal storage is faster and for $50 bucks more you double. What i don't like is that samsung neglects is smaller phones ALL the time with its battery, the plus model got a 300mah bump, while the regular one stayed the same. Even last years the s20 plus beat the s20 in battery, so this year it will beat it even more and to me battery life is a must.

@@warhawk2574 I was sort of skeptical, but my old phone was a broken screen s9 with a bad port, so I traded in not expecting to get the $200 credit, but to my surprise I was told via email 5hat it was accepted so I've $200 from a trading a phone that was not worth more than $50. As for getting the phone it was very easy and fast. It took like two days to get, except the galaxy buds. I even applied for their credit and ended up buying the Galaxy s7 plus tablet. The only thing I don't like, was the payment portal if you do get their like of credit, since is sort of.... not mobile friendly.

Here is why I love the microSD card... I run out of cloud storage.. recently I had a softwere issue and had to send it to Samsung for a reset.. I didn't lose my pics and data cos I have them all on the SD card... PS - I just realised this means no dual SIM.. that really sucks.. as a person who used to (pre covid) travel abroad 3-4 times a year on holiday I used to love having both local SIM and a SIM of the country I traveling to for data... That way I am connected for my incoming business calls as well as local data rates... Now it's going to suck..
Also, internal storage keeps shrinking over time. Only way to recover is to factory reset.
I honestly don't need one unless I'm low on space. I use USB-C file transfer so I'm fine with it getting ditched. But yeah, I feel the pain for some people
Im also a fan of micro sd..but yeah..times changed..i think maybe its about time to adapt to the change also..but hey..not so fast i think..buying 2 device will also work..a mid ranged(since the memory card still got in majority of it)for social media..and flagship for some heavy task and games..

Pricing is insane for s21 in India. Its even more (INR 70,000) than at what the s20 was launched. While in other countries, s21 ($799) is supposed to be less than the launch price of s20 ($999).

just got my s21 ultra in the black color a few days ago, and if anyone is thinking about switching or upgrading to the new device... I sincerely recommend it. The video experience to the smooth animations and an extremely fast response, it's truly an amazing piece of technology. And it feels far more premium than any Samsung device every made.
I think the processor will be the decider for me. I can do without the SD card as I don't take many photos and videos, but their own processors have been interior to the a Snapdragon for a while, yet charge the same price. Once I see both phone's performance for normal usage over time, I'll decide whether to stick with Samsung or go elsewhere

Wireless charging isn't a big deal to me but the removal of the MicroSD card is a huge issue because they can raise the price and anytime in future iterations once they get rid of it just like we see with cloud storage prices will always creep you don't want to lose your microSD card. Samsung keeps this trend up I'm going to have to find a different company to buy my phones from.
I've gotten every single S series since the S3 I guess it's time to stop, samsung is slowly getting rid of everything that made their phones great
you can say that again. Even if I was willing to spend money on the ultra to get the glass back and QHG resolution you are forced to use an over sized phone. Buying the standard s20 for size alone forces you to make stupid sacrifices. It looks like an actual downgrade from the s20. Since I will be coming from the s10 I will also need a new charger for the super fast charging which will cost more money. All I can say is that the xiaomi mi 11 is starting to look more interesting to buy. Similar specs and costs less

The plus and ultra is simply too big. I also don't see anything significantly worth upgrading coming from a s10 for the price of a new phone. Lets be honest here. Samsung is taking the biscuit this year.

I believe when the Note 20 Ultra gets the OneUI 3.1 software update, you will be able to set the display to WQHD & 120hz refresh rate.

I just ordered the S21 Ultra 5G and confirmed with Samsung that it does have a Dual/Hybrid sim slot
Sd slot is so 2000s its called cloud storage bro
Cloud is way slower, expensive, and unavailable than sd. In addition with a phone with sd you can have both. Even if you have 5g you still pay for gbs up and down and cloud provider caps speed, also they only offer 1tb for free. With and s10p you can have 2tb in your hand + 1tb cloud which can't even backup the phone data. Obviously you, like supersaff, are not smartphone power user who uses the smartphone as the center of your media and tech. You probably rely on computers as main devices and phone only to call and take some pics, videos and play.
Sorry guys just received my s21 ultra it doesn't come with micro sd as per video. The advisor at Samsung gave me incorrect information.

I got the S21 plus. And I, honestly, think it's the best from the three phones. It's a good middle option. I like the look of the violet and since it's a good build, I'm content. I got it on sale brand new and unlocked. I saved close to $300 on it.
I love the curved screen that's what makes samsung. Thats its identity I hope they never get rid of the curved screen really makes the samsung stand out but they can includethe optionof not having a curved screen ... Quick question out of curiosity why the sun glasses? Every single time.

the only thing holding me back from upgrading from s20+ to s21+ is the micro sd card slot since my phone has a lot of files (especially videos) but then.. I guess I'll just wait for the full reviews if exynos 2100 really is worth it. Nice review btw!
Exynos so far is doing n excellent job...have seen multiple reviews...so far no battery drain n heating issues...i'll buy s21 tdy

Idk im still pretty pissed about the lack of a micro SD card. There shouod have been at least option to have a included cherger in the box
