More like if Apple actually cared about the environment they'd make their phones more repairable
Or they’d stop wrapping their boxes in plastic. It’s all for show. Has nothing to do about the environment. All about saving money. Having adhesive stickers to seal the box like Samsung does would cost Apple $2.78 more per phone. Hence why they still use plastic wrap.
@@lilwrighto7793 well, Samsung boxes get all scratched and messed up in retail. Apple boxes still look pristine. I much prefer the plastic wrap overall than Samsung's annoying adhesive stickers where you always have to look for a knife.
@@James_Baggott and that's worth it? How often do you actually unbox a new phone? Once a year max?
@@Bella1899 😆
iPhones consistently get a 6/10 for repairability from iFixit. Samsung’s phones score 4 and below. Now Apple does have some very anti right to repair policies but overall replacing the two most common things screen and battery are much easier on an iPhone than most phones. Samsung does deserve credit on their wearables such as the Galaxy Buds being very repairable, as AirPods are eventually disposable products as the battery is not replaceable which considering that’s a consumable component is unacceptable.
I like how there is a random iphone review in the Samsung phone review.
Yeah exactly

This is not a Samsung phone review
I actually switched from the note 9 to the S21 Ultra and I am very pleased with it! The battery life is great, the screen is absolutely beautiful and buttery smooth with that 120hz. I actually looked at the difference between the two when I was transferring my stuff over and was like, how can I ever go back to 60hz. This screen has ruined me for lower refresh rates. Lol I enjoyed using the pen on my note 9, but haven't had a time when I was really disappointed that I no longer have it. It was convenient, but I don't miss it as much as I thought I would.
How's the experience months later
Literally just upgraded to the 21 ultra from a note 9 as well. Very excited!!
@@glmzy The experience is still very good! The battery leaves only a little to be desired, but I play games and watch videos in 1440p and 2160p a lot, so I could see that I'm not the average person for power consumption. The camera is amazing. Just got back from a trip to the zoo and got some amazing pictures. Had a great opportunity to try the night mode there. They have an exhibit full of nocturnal animals and the camera performed beautifully in the dark to get some pictures of those animals. Have had 0 major issues with the phone. One of the only kinks I think they could work on is the keyboard. I switched to Gboard and still see some of the same bugs, so idk. I recently added the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and it helps so much with notifications and keeping an eye on the time. Can't wait for Google assistant to be added as Bixby is still a pain.
The 8K looks good, it just has a very hard time autofocusing, so it looks like supersmoothed out if you don't manually focus
If they really cared about the environmental aspect, they would make phones where you could replace the battery easier and have longer software support.
true
My Samsung's have lasted me 4 years with no issues in terms of software. I always ended up changing from simple battery degradation or charging ports beginning to fail. Those have been partially fixed by better batteries and wireless charging though
Bro samsung battery is the best iPhone battery tho I can say the same
@Carl Gunderson that makes it better? My iphone se is still supported and now running up on 6 years
agreed on the battery part but on the software support not so much, remember the SoC company (qualcomm in this case) decides whether to make the upgrade 3 years or 4 years so samsung isn't really to blame.

Some thoughts from someone who has had an s21 ultra for a few months now: -i thought I'd miss my s pen. I really don't. It was a novelty to begin with for me. - the battery life is sweeeeeeet. 5k battery ftw - the lack of a physical SD slot isn't really an issue. The phone has a lot of internal memory, and if I'm interested in swapping the photos to another device, there are plenty of free cloud services to use(google, OneDrive). My main complaints were -having to search for the power button. It's not physical anymore unless you mess with the settings. -the "Free" software, which is what pops up when you swipe left on the home screen, is blah. I haven't tried to remove it yet via settings, but I wish it wasn't there. Overall, great phone. If you're an Android user, it doesn't get much better than this at this point in time.
A bit late but you can remove the add screen. Hold on an empty space in your home screen and then remove that screen.

@@benjaminbordelon8413 swiping for 9 key keyboards. You click each key once, and the phone figures out which of the 3 letters you meant depending on which keys you pressed before/after using a dictionary. I have never used it, skipped right past that one.
@@benjaminbordelon8413 This'll be a long comment, but it requires a bit of explanation if you've never seen it before. Basically you press the number keys that are associated with the letters in a contacts name in the dialler using the old t9 system. Where 1 is associated with punctuation, 2 is "abc", 3 is "def", 4 is "ghi" and so on. For example, let's say you have someone called Oliver in your contact list and they're not in your recent call history. You can open the dialler and press 654 and any contact with a name that has a combination of "mno" "jkl" "ghi" in that order will appear in the list, and the more keys you press that fill out the name the more results that will be filtered out until you're left with just the one exact match. It's a super convenient feature if you regularly call a lot of different people and the entry for a person is way down the call history list or you have a lot of contacts to go through to find the one you want. It also works on numbers not saved in your contacts but is in your call history, so if you can remember at least a couple of the digits you can quickly bring it up again.
I like the dual sim card. Either for a work phone or canceling your service provider for whatever reason. I also like using this as my modem for my pc. You connect it with the charging wire into your pc USB and just like plugging into a phone jack. You now have internet access. Great phone.
