I know A LOT of you have been awaiting this video. The 2nd part from my last ever visit to Rufford Ford. Soon after this was recorded, the council ordered the closure of the road, and it is yet to reopen.
I have covered the reasoning behind their actions, but I'm eager to hear your opinions on the matter.

This place seemed so tranquil at the start, with cars cautiously splashing through the ford and the sound of birds tweeting in the trees. Then the algorithm got hold of it and before you know it - crowds of idiots, screeching kids, police, douchebags showing off - chaos pretty much. The vibe got flipped totally. I kinda preferred it before. Oh well, now no one can enjoy it.
Yeah it was tranquil before all the dickhead KZheadrs rocked up. I live about 15 mins away and Rufford park is a great walk and I’ve been going since I was little. Now it’s literally just this everyday the water is higher than usual…

The Parents that let their children stand on the road used to worry me, most spectators wanted to see a large splash others wanted to see drivers ruin their cars and plenty did

I can see why the locals said no more. That white truck a dozen tunes, siren blaring coupled with trucks going up the stream. No brainer

@@blazortheepic0384 It sure should be, somewhere, in a gravel pit or as part of a closed circuit, for free of course, but better not on public roads besides inhabited buildings. There are too many people detesting other people having fun. You can't avoid that clash and it will always end with police and a lot of silly accusations.

It's not even the kids that's just bad parenting they need to tell them to shut the fu*k up 😂 my kid won't act up like that and would never shout out something stupid to random ppl got to raise them right or don't have kids at all

Dunno why people don't just build a 'wooden bridge' for the cars to go over. A few tax payers money spent here and there and BOOM it's done. But that would mean we couldn't watch these... 😂
Absolutely! The guy in the white Amarok is 8 yrs old ffs. It’s costing me time and money to take the long route now and the short cut round the Ford there’s suddenly a sign up saying no through road? Residents must have complained about the sudden increase in traffic on their road all due to idiots driving too fast mainly and risking life.
It's amazing how easily entertained we humans are by driving through an oversized puddle
No wonder it was closed - drivers behaving like 10 year-olds.

@@mitchellperry3462 😅 Problem is, there are so many utterly reasonable people detesting fun and wanting to restrain other people's wellbeing that it will become more difficult to behave like healthy ten year old boys amongst those bores and slowpokes. Three years of usurping reign the miserable corona's witnesses have under their belt showed slowpokes of all kind how it is actually doable to ruin other people's fun in their lives, and they all start to do it less and less closemouthed.
Yet the authorities refuse to take action to stop this very same behavior at Lindersfarm (Holy Island) & Mersea Island Which are far more deadly & Dangerous as they are both TIDAL (Rufford Ford is NON TIDAL & not considered Dangerous as it is only a few yards across whereas Lindersfarm & Mersea Island are 3MILES ACROSS & ARE TIDAL.) Indeed the Rufford ford brigade would be scared out of their boots by Lindersfarm & Mersea Island as Rufford Ford is a tiny puddle compared to these deadly tidal monsters.
Its called having fun.
The motorcyclist that got thrown off was the main reason it closed, that's when the locals started really kicking off and the police became a big presence

The reason it got closed is because KZheadrs kept posting videos making the place more popular and dangerous because people wanted to show off to the cameras.
Then the constant you tuber presence feeding off the more busier traffic going through the splash just for their views Pj audits nearly crying after it was closed
Heard some youtuber were caught blocking it to make the water level rise more as well.
He fucked around and found out the hard way
I can see why this place was closed, some people especially that ranger are being extremely dangerous

At @5:44 there’s a woman crossing the bridge whilst walking her dog. She’s showing no interest in the white pickup soaking everyone yet somehow ends up in being soaked herself. That’s why it should remain closed. Yeah, I’m sure it is fun for the drivers and spectators, but for the locals it must have been horrible. How disruptive and miserable listening to this every time it rains, having no parking, & having to avoid walking outside of your own home must it have been. Glad for their sake it’s been closed.
yeah you show something good to a wide audience and it always ends up getting ruined, sometimes gatekeeping is the correct thing to do. Maybe they could make the situation better by putting a low speed limit there and a set of average speed cameras, the village would profit of that and it might pressure people into not behaving like idiots.

That's why you never tell anyone where the fun spots are. Too many people find out and they always get ruined. This would happen back in the day with good racing spots and before the internet made it famous
This video just shows how stupid and dangerous people were being, no wonder it closed.
Give 'em a playground. Give 'em a gravel pit, a closed circuit, a hillclimb for free and leave 'em alone while they are having enough fun for a whole week of dragging corporate grind to survive. Not everybody is having fun quietly playing bingo, there are people that want to be loud and competitive and splash their cars and race it "unreasonably" and just want to have their kinda fun. Give 'em a place to do that, for free, and they mostly won't do it on road any more.

@@manfredschmalbach9023 Got to disagree to some degree. If it's legal and safe and everything (even free) then people wouldn't bother doing it. They'd drive well out of their way to hit Rufford but wouldn't drive a mile to a permanent splash puddle; I could almost guarantee it.

Not 100% sure but i think driving fast through the Ford, splashing ect is deemed as driving without due care and attention...maybe thats why Police would like it closed.
I'm pretty sure driving fast anywhere (except on tracks and the autobahn) is deemed as "driving without due care"

Driving flat out into a flooded road where you cannot actually see the road and have a possibility of losing control of the vehicle IS driving without due care and attention! Lets hope you understand these if and when you pass the test....lol

The reason why is was closed is because of KZheadrs, especially PJ who you can see in this video.
What did he do? I used to watch Tom Sunderland's videos but never looked to find out why it got closed. I just thought it was the obvious too many people going too fast

great video. I have something like this near me and it's great to watch. sometimes cars and lorries will make huge splashes and sometimes cars will repeatedly go through for everyone. It's great fun and it's only a mile away from me. 10 min walk
