Okay now I just want them to bring back "Read in bed" and "Watch TV in bed." That would help stream line tiny living even more.
I've never had this many thumbs up before. Just saying thanks guys. Also Sims Team PAY ATTENTION PLEASE
They could even add a hidden trait to it or something. Some Sims fall asleep watching TV or reading in bed and some don't (or get woken up or annoyed by it). This would accurately represent me and my husband lol
@@aileenh9256, I 100% agree!!! We could have "Read on the Toilet" hidden traits! And "Oh no! You just had to finish that last chapter so now your behind has fallen alseep!" That would be relatable as heck!😂
@@gemini5646 queue the conflicting "Confident" and "Uncomfortable" moodlets! Now I have to go play to check whether or not Sims can read on the toilet. I think that might actually be a thing 🤔
@@gemini5646 imagine Sims can't getting up from the toilet from reading too long and then dying of hunger because of it lmaoooo

Layla Banner thanks
Great job. 10/10
You made me laugh out loud, thank you :D :D :D :D
I love that!
I just want a pack and call it the random pack where the sims team includes everything we want in it lmao so your ladders bunk beds and spiral staircases
I think they should put all of that in a free update because it would be very useful for every type if player with and with out money
The Sims 4 Vertical Living
@@eleanortippey1164 of course they are going to work for free. How old are you? 5?
@@INeedYouToBreathe They have added plenty of stuff in free patches before. Sometimes even functional. For example, pools. Basements. The stair update. Terrain tools, toddlers, family trees, none of this was in the basegame from the very beginning.
The sims 4 expansion pack: get everything you asked for
Lmaoooo this reminds me of how much work I put into getting my sim to university in the Sims 3 only for her to be crushed by a vending machine at orientation
That's a thing???? I hadn't even heard of that.
Oh yeah! I forgot about those killer vending machines. LOL

Almost commented the exact same thing, lol
I'm disappointed we didn't get any kitchen items. It would have been a great opportunity to bring in like a tabletop stove, more minifridge options, etc... They deff missed a golden opportunity for the whole "tiny living" thing.
It's a stuff pack, what did ya expect? 😂
@@whateveryouneed4858 Some kitchen stuff.
We definitely need more kitchenware.

Yeah, I could finally probably replicate my condo with all the Tiny Living stuff.

If the Sims gurus need a librarian to sort their stuff, I'm available for hire.
You're hired! Report to HR first thing tomorrow morning and tell them the community sent you to fix their screwups. lol
i wish they wouldve given us some small kitchen appliances, like a countertop stove or a countertop stove/sink combo where the sink and stove fit on the same tile i feel like there were alot of missed opportunities
Golden; I want one of those toaster oven-griddle-coffee maker things
yes or like a stove top without the oven so you could put a dishwasher under it or something. also like half tile counters would be cool and pair it with a half tile stove with only two burners or a half tile sink. and nice narrow trash cans. or a counter top that can fold down to walk through. and maybe could double as a table to eat at.
A stove-microwave combo 👌👌👌👌👌
Imagine actually having a counter cooktop in 2020...😮
Yes! Countertop stoves and grills used to be working mods years ago, wish they still worked. Also wall microwaves. Though for microwaves I'd prefer a counter with a space for a microwave (like what my house has) or whatever else, just storage space. Or microwave that fits on a shelf. Anything that doesn't take up the countertop space works though. Also a mini fridge that slots into counters!
This would have been the perfect pack for bunk beds. At this point they should included in a free update.
They could have put also loft beds in this pack... A lot of (short) people with tiny rooms have loft beds
@@maxxx429 can't you make a loft bed now that there's a ladder?
I thought they would add it in the university pack but whatever they like to make as many packs as possible so they make more money
@@Somebodyelse141 yes but also no, bc a loft bed would use only one floor, with using a ladder you need to make a second floor
@@Somebodyelse141 probably not a usable one
It doesn't really feel tiny, some of the objects are pretty big actually. And it seems pretty dumb that it is so hard to die making magic or whatever but you die instantly with the Murphy bed.
there's a lot i like in this pack sure, but what i would really want from it is to have a world with tiny lots placed close together so i could make a whole community of tiny houses. sigh. dare to dream.
In the upcoming game Paralives, you will be able to do that! Maybe EA games will be inspired to do similar when it's competition game is available. 😎👍
it's a stuff pack
Rebecca MacLean that game is gonna suck
I'm not saying it isn't? I'm just saying that i don't feel like it fits in with the game as it is now and i wish it were different. calm down.
@@MatthewsGamingZone why do you think that?
I think they should have looked at Japanese living in apartments in Japan and did an expansion pack for tiny living. They have combo toilet/sink. Loft beds and storage in the floor.
I feel like loft beds were such an obvious thing that should've been included
Lacora Clayton I feel like they really dropped the ball in Uni. My university had bunk beds that could be taken apart to be singles or loft with the desk under or lifted alone.
@@MizzBooSongz university definitely would've been the best place to introduce bunk beds... After Parenthood anyway
@@Somebodyelse141 Parenthood has some issues too. I don't like that no matter what I say to my child there is a negative affect. In real life it is not like that. Also, being a super parent doesn't even help you with it.
@@MizzBooSongz yeah, Parenthood is wierd for me. Maybe I'm just not good at it but it takes forever for the manners, responsibility, etc to grow, whether by teaching the toddlers to say please and thank you and stuff or by praising/disciplining them
What we want: bunk beds, ladders, small clutter, more kitchen counters What we get: a new toilet. Wow. I kinda was expecing a new bar!
Yeah, I was expecting a built in bar, which at least would have been different
I was actually expecting some sort of cabinet that mounts to the wall and like... its a picture but NO, you pull it down, and its a juice bar LoL
honestly though, a one tile bar would be cool.
@@kiwibug07 well, we got the one with earth shape (I don't know how it's said in English sorry). But I get your point
Lol the bed is secretly a bar, the juice is under the pillows
Energy 1? You need level 6 handiness to upgrade the beds! I'm not sure about the excuse EA can only develop one big item in the pack, laundry day also had the clothes line and outdoor scrubbing basin. Ladders are really important in a tiny house, 99% of real tiny homes have a bed up on a second floor.
I'm really annoyed about that energy 1!😣
I've seen a few and I agree.
I feel like this doesn't have the quality of stuff they have in other stuff packs. Like yeah the items are more detailed, but I'd take 8 more items (kitchen stuff, windows, desks, doors, lights, outdoor things) then a very very detailed item that we can't really use cause its to stylized, or the colors are wonky with the items surrounding it. Idk past packs have been better and I get not making a latter or bunk bed because its a whole new animation they need to do. But I'd take latters/bunk beds over the murfybed, especially when you can't choose what bed can be there
@@dummydee4671 yes, and murfybeds don't save space in the sims world, while ladders would.
I think it’s a bug?
This pack with City Living and apartments will be incredible!!
Exactly what I was thinking, I've been doing tiny builds in City Living forever!
Freakin luv playing in apts! Im drolling over this pack! *Salim Benali you just won a free HGTV home makeover! You lucky dog!*
I believe lilsimsie said it doesn't work in an apartment :(
Marthe does none of it work or just the whole ‘tiny build’ part?
@@martheslifeforyou what doesnt work in apts?
Still no L-shape or U-shape couches. How difficult can it be to make a modern couch??
There is a L shaped couch you can make with Cats and Dogs using the tiny couches. But i agree they need to make more options for couches in the sims 4.
maybe in another pack. It doesn't make sense in tiny living
Apparently its damn near impossible ;-/
Yeah that is not a thing that would at all make sense for tiny living....
@@INeedYouToBreathe Really? I could see a small corner sofa in a tiny house.
Does the sims team hate couches? I just want one simple modern comfy ikea style couch
I know!! That couch is soooo cute. Would it be so hard to have it able to be placed separately?
just something thats simple and looks comfy. thats all i ask! sheesh! Is that really too much to ask?.. all the basegame sofa's look like they were chisel and hammer, mass produced by Bedrock Incorporated.
If you’re looking for IKEA style furniture, illogical sims has a cc pack called simkea furnishings that’s worth checking out. It’d be great to have it in the actual game without mods but his pack is a fantastic alternative to waiting for The Sims team to come out with an IKEA style themselves
Vanessa Waddington ooh thank you!
It will so nice nice to have a normal looking couch. I only use the one the one that comes with the spa pack because it is more normal looking.
Also, apparantly I totally missed that we had been getting "high top" dinning tables, all together. Probably for the reason James pointed out. Why aren't they in "dining tables?"
YOU DONT EVEN KNOW MY STRESS!! Just a couple days ago i was losing my dang mind decorating an apt. I was pulling my hair out and screaming, "Im not crazy! im not, dammit! (yelling at the EA universe) I know dang well there are high tables in the game!:
@@LadyYepperz 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤪
This was a perfect pack to introduce ladders, bunkbeds, loft beds, and spiral staircases.
Bit disappointed that there any many multifunction items or small versions of items. A small under the counter fridge? A sink and toilet combo?
We just got a mini fridge. Why would we get another one so soon
@@INeedYouToBreathe under the counter fridge?
A sink toilet?
@@INeedYouToBreathe - a fridge that works in with kitchen counters, similar to dish washers but with a hinge on the side would be so nice. The mini fridges are dreadful, aesthetically. It not like everything they add is only in one pack, especially something so useful. Just look at all the one tile desks we have had since parenthood
a sink and toilet combo would've made so much sense for this pack! sometimes I wonder what kind of research they did...
This pack really needed ladders. This is the one thing that's in almost every tiny home- a lofted bed with a ladder.
Cackling at how casual James is as he continues talking about the pack, as if his sim isn't dead on the floor. Or the reaper being there going through his list. Eventful property viewing; only the sims! 😂
I love that the lil poof is a table!! I always wanted the soft square seat from City Living to be a table. But now that you mention it, if chairs could act as both tables and seats that would actually be pretty cool 🤔
I like the idea... But it would also drive me nuts to have sims pile dirty dishes everywhere or having plant their ass on my livingroom table when watching TV
@@terrianblack9450 LMAOO that's truee 😂😂
That moment all the items in tiny living are massive
Can’t wait to see your tiny build with tiny stuff.
I honestly think he'll still use a lot of stuff from other packs, this bed is very cool for example but it still takes up the same space as a normal bed? so a single bed will still beter work in a tiny home. so sad they didn't add loft beds
Furniture: "made to be put in a tiny house" James: "reviews it in a big house"
It is technically tiny by game standards, bb mode notes that its 100 of 100 tiles. He could have made his bunker smaller, he just didn't 🤷🏾♀️
He's not playing in it just showing the objects. How does that make any sense what you just said
@@INeedYouToBreathe it's supposed to be a joke but it obviously went over your head. You hear that? Whooooosh
@@Orangecataura you're actually just not funny
They really should add loaft beds, when they add bunk beds. Especially now that raised items don't work.
All these combo items, but where's the oven/microwave combo, or wall-mounted microwave? Bunk beds?
Omg wall mounted microwave would've been sick
Can't wait for the CC of this pack
I really want «comfy living». Why can’t we get a good netflix and chill sofa. One of those that have that «long» seat. I have that at home and I just lie there chilling watching tv, og playing planet zoo 😄
You make some excellent points here about categories, swatches, matching colours and items across packs, and all the not-realised potential e.g. loftbeds, washer-dryer-combo etc.
Laundry day has a stacked washer/dryer
@@samanthastockdall9747 it's not about stacking them on top of each other, but there are real life combos that can wash and dry. You don't have to move your clothes from one to the other and most importantly you don't need a second machine. A lot of real life tiny houses have them In the sims, you could put something else on top of that one machine, similar to how the mini-fridges work. That would save space and be thus a lot more suited for tiny living.
5:54 I mean, the Outdoor Retreat cooler is basically a mini fridge that sims can sit on, I don't see why they couldn't make a table that sims could sit on as well.
James: Wish we could get that separately Modders: We're on it 😂
Yeah but EA is lazy af
19:26 When you're small and this bs with mirror happens to you every single time. At least I know what my forehead looks like...
My mother in law told me I wasn't allowed to decorate my bedroom or bathroom with blue and yellow bc they "dont go together" so it's nice to see the whole Sims design team thinks they do 😂
That’s crazy blue and yellow are killer color combinations
Is she Danish? She might just hate the Swedish flag :P
They are contrasting colors. They definitely go together. I love navy and a bright yellow.
My bedroom growing up was blue and yellow 🤣 we found so many items with both colors in it. She must hate those colors.
That's strange because it's blue and green that shouldn't be seen together, unless there's a colour in between (preferably white, or a bright colour)! 😎🙂
In the live stream it sounded to me like they were going for a Scandi style. Which they clearly failed at, unfortunately. That would've been really nice. Seems like they accidentally just did mid century modern style again, for the third time. Don't get me wrong, I love MCM pieces, I have a couple in my house and would like a couple more. But mixing it with other things and keeping the color palette pretty neutral/natural is what makes it current and leans it toward the Scandi style.
the lamp is so large because you can place a small item on the shelf at the bottom
PositivelyNice There’s actually no slot on the lamp so you can’t put anything on it unfortunately. Definitely a missed opportunity!
@@Allisas There is a slot. You just have to find a small enough object
Can I place a lamp on the lamp shelf? :P
If you’ve slept in a Murphy bed or a pull out couch, you KNOW why it’s energy 1
James : can we get some ceiling plants Me : ya and can we ALSO GET ROUND WALLS, POOLS AND THE WHOLE LOT... ROUND!!!! I'M TIRED OF ALL THESE OCTOGONS!!! *CIRCLES* Thnx EA
circles = high polygon mesh. that means more work on graphic cards. which is why all the 'circular' items we do have in game look a hot ass mess! >:-/
@Sol Ish Niwa It isnt impossible at all. but EA has been making that excuse from the beginning even went so far as to say its one of the reasons ts3 was so laggy. and I build mesh too. so ik it can be done but i also know the poly count can impact the game.. I want round walls and pools as much as the next person!
@Sol Ish Niwa I'll bet you anything if they do add round rooms, pools and spiral stairs they will be added in the last pack before TS5 drops
@@LadyYepperz I never considered that. Makes so much sense. I'm rethinking the game, trying to call the truly circular objects...
@@midgetkungfu good luck with that. None of the 'round' meshes are refined. They are so poorly done I'd never put my name on them. I have too much pride in my work. Just look @ all the furniture in general. The sofas for example, everything is blocky and lacking all the soft edges you would expect to see on them naturally in RL. The sims team has gotten better and this pack is proof. I think even they have been unhappy with what they had been force to produce in the past.
They could do a loft with a slot underneath to put a bed couch or desk. That way you get a loft and a bunk bed as one object 🤔
Yes James, the two tiled chairs has always been there No I did not pause to go back to older build videos to check
Me too! Clear back to 2014. And he still built so fast that I had to double check on 0.25x speed 😂

This is what I was looking for. As I was watching I'm shaking my head and thinking, James, oh James, where have you been? Lol
The Sims 4 Tiny Living: 1:30 Murphy bed takes up the entire wall
No new bar!? What a shame
Tiny Living Stuff Pack Overview: James: - I don't know.
Also can you do a tiny cottage in a forest build please I love your building skills.
This was the perfect pack for bunk beds and ladders. I was hoping that they would still put it in as a surprise and not show in the trailer but they didn't. Little disappointed.
This stuff literally feels like it belongs with the university pack, but they pulled some stuff out and were like "MORE MONEY, MORE PACKS".
"Mid century style" aka 50's style is also called functionalist style and it's main idea is for everything to have a function an be as functional as possible. There for it's super fitting that this stuff pack is in the functionalist style!
Love this pack personally think it will look really cute in teen rooms though I am disappointed there is really no kitchen items
Pretty sure they’ve always had that footprint because of the way they slot with tables
So many missed opportunities here lol I mean weve been waiting and we're still willing to pay for these things like bunk beds and ladders so like what's the deal with including them?? Anyways love the stuff in the pack but it is like the third pack to have mid century furnishings like bowling stuff then get famous lol
I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone with a complete mid century house. Excuse you my vintage mid century teak furniture would beg to differ
Laura Butler right?! I inherited a bunch of great furniture from my grandparents, and it’s all mid century teak.
Well has he seen your house? :D just kidding:)
I live in Scandinavian and I haven seen that table before, and that chair😂 i love that style, in Scandinavian it's very popular to by used stuff because off clima change ( or I know alot of people who do that, and I love it ❤️) and I don't get why we didn't get a ladder in this package, and a bunk bed. If you have kids it would be great to have a bunk bed for them, because they use less space.
So the couch with the Murphy bed doesn't come separately? I would've preferred that one over the mid century one that is basically just bowling stuff ://
Something I noticed is there's waaaay more slots on items for deco items! It's amazing and it means less CC for me since I always get the more slots cc
"I really like it ... BUT ..." for every single built/buy lmbao
Man, I think EA should hire you for consulting! It really seem not thought through or what😐
They need to make bunk beds, and bring back the spiral staircase. The spiral staircase only took up 1 tile and I miss that.
The spiral staircase from Sims 3 (I don’t remember one is Sims 2, but I could be mistaken)? It took up 4 spaces at the base. Only the ladders have taken only 1 space. Though there’s always an extra space at top and bottom that needs to be clear for them to function, so some could argue those count towards the spaces needed. :D
mariesalias sorry it’s been awhile.
Kirsten Bass No worries! Honestly, at 4 tiles, the spiral stairs are great! Ladders really should have been in this pack though. :)
I sleep in an IKEA loft bed, it's such a perfect item for optimizing a tiny space. It would be great to have it in the sims
Honestly I’m kinda disappointed in this pack. Mod makers are way more good. Why they just can’t see we would be more willing to buy game packs if it’s done properly. Instead of that they put so little in so many packs. Wonderful video btw
I'm certain the low energy Murphy bed not only takes advantage of being upgradeable, but also of the comfort bonus that comes with the new residential lot.
I’m just glad it’s not another My first pet stuff pack
the most dramatic ending to a stuff pack build/buy overview
Everyone: man I wanted bunk beds or ladders Me: *excited that I can finally crush poor poor grandma under the murphy bed*
Never seen that realm of magic table in my life because of the categorization 🤦🏻♀️
watch James get build cc and just have his game loaded with circular tables.
i wish they add in a simple small bathroom sink that attaches to the wall
The sims has had 2 good opportunities to add bunk beds (university and tiny living stuff pack) and they f’ed up! 😒
Guess I won't use the beds if my sims die that easily :"D
RIGHT!! that just scared the heck out of me! Not gonna kill off my sim on day ONE! Now im going to sweat bullets every time i use it and if my anxiety is too highI may never use it at all
Just save before and reload/force quit if they die /shrug
@@nicole0991 Yeah... saving every time before they use the bed is way to much for my liking. lol
Will have to use the sofa until you have upgraded enough to not die hahaha
The high top tables take up less space than a table and chairs, which is why I love them
You keep mentioning bunk beds, but forgetting that kitchen stuff is neglected also, this pack could be a perfect opportunity to bring kitchens to XXI century with integratable ovens, cooktops and fridges (not to mention other appliences like vine fridges, integratable microwaves and integratable coffe machines, warming shelves, realistic kitchen sinks that do not run over counters)
I mentioned kitchen and combo items
Is it weird that the thing I am least excited about in this pack is the murphy bed?
Drink every time James says “That’s a shame”
The little fox pillows on the couch are SO CUTE! I love the new pendant lights too!
"why are these only Blatter 10? oh no I can only go to the bathroom a little bit." lol. hilarious!
last time i was this early we didn't even have a plain white shelf
I wish Tiny Living had been a game pack instead and included ladders, bunk beds, loft beds, sofa beds, under-stair storage/rooms, solar panels, rain collecting, composting toilets, and trailers to build on. They also need to make split levels easier to do (I loved those platforms in TS3). Laundry Day really should've had a washer/dryer combo in addition to the stacked and single versions. I've got my ideal floor plan for a real tiny house all figured out, but I can’t build it in the game because it lacks these features.
I feel like high top tables are pretty popular irl right now. Although I agree with wishing there was a regular table of the same style.
you said "I don't know" so many times xD, you feel so iffy on this pack lol
Still upset that the couch doesn’t come separate from the Murphy bed
I love how enthusiastic you are with all the packs. The official trailers are nothing but complaining in the comments.
This needed to be a game pack.. new world with lots like the trailer park in stranger ville, no bunk beds, no smaller stair cases (ladders or spiral would of worked!) only the bed is a combo, a toilet and sink item would of been fucking great! Fold away table/desk too. I feel it’s half a pack... of that! This is a big topic that is well loved and should be a game pack and be more filled :)
Wow just when you think this time it has to be better....it sinks even lower..This is truly disappointing. II agree with you, too stylized , not really tiny home appropriate for the most part...especially that massive deadly bed...come on where are the bunks, the loft beds...the combo items like you mentioned . a HUGE disappointment.

@@aleshahosfelt8297 me to 😂 its just always the most fun.. And then I might watch the others if I'm bored or feel like James forgot something 😅
Yup, James is ALWAYS first for me! Everyone else can wait.
The furniture in this pack is SO my style. I’m obsessed! Easily the best and cohesive build/buy selection I’ve seen
While you were talking about how there should be double-beds to match new single ones, it occurred to me that a sleepover pack would be fantastic. Add in missing beds, make some nicer sleeping bags, invite multiple kids/teens over for a birthday or whatever--pillow fights, late night spooky stories, staying up all night and trying to play pranks on the sleeping sibling--or the left out sibling playing pranks on the one having the party. Also, bunk beds would make sense in it. How great would that be?
This pack looks like it’ll go good with university items!
and here i thought he died over how good the pack is, but nope, he literally died
Seeing how Lilsimsie was struggling SO hard to die from the Murphy bed... James. You're truly, very much... EXTREMELY unlucky
I agree with the kitchen thing. A lot of tiny homes have sink/counter combos or countertop stoves (which would leave you without an oven but that could be part of the tiny house challenge). Idk I like the pack a lot but from what I've seen here it looks only half finished.
I am super excited about this pack 😍😍 apartment life will be even better!
The items in this pack looks kind of similar to the ones in the parenthood pack
I'm glad they didn't add bunk beds in this pack. I think it would be better suited in an update to the base game, since a lot of players don't have the money to be buying a bunch of packs. I wouldn't personally want to buy a pack just for bunk beds, you know? Of course, that's just me.
I love how you break down each item, thanks for always keeping it real with us! :) Excited for this pack
I feel like this will be helpful when living in a small apartment
That's huge for a tiny build
Mid-century-inspired stuff makes sense in a way, because that's when compact apartment living became a thing and furniture often reflected that (like having a coffee table that you could raise up and use as a dining room table).
This furniture looks like it will go really well with University bedroom items and Island Living kitchen items!
