Fast Autobahn acceleration runs with the all-new 2023 McLaren ARTURA. This car has a new V6 / Hybrid Powertrain which delivers 680 hp / 720 Nm of torque. The crazy part, ist still weighs only 1395 kg (dry weight). Unfortunately we had to do this test with a passenger today, so I guess the real 100-200 km/h times are at 5.3 - 5.6s....thats FAST! Ferraris 296 Gtb sounds waaaaaay better.
Mclaren continues to push the boundaries of automotive design and beauty, while pushing performance to the limit. It is truly incredible, it always leaves you speechless.
Only problem is, their models look way to similar to each other, not ugly, but too much alike.
It still has that distinct Mclaren sound even if it is 6 cylinders 😁
I had the same thought when I first heard this, it still sounds like a McLaren. I like it quite a lot.

I'm preparing to buy my first supercar and it's definitely going to be a McLaren because I don't like the current sales policies of Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini (over sticker for a non-limited volume model). I'm wavering between a used 720S, which is the ultimate bargain, a 750S, my dream car, and now this Artura. 6 cylinders, 680 hp, lighter than an M4 F82 manual despite the hybrid, that's a good offer. Keep up the good work, McLaren. And they were always nice at McLaren Munich, even when I wasn't a potential customer.

Wenn man bedenkt dass der 570S die 100-200 in 5,6 schafft ist das geschwindigkeitstechnisch ein Rückschritt. Angenommen der Artura fährt mit seinen 110PS mehr die selbe Zeit, würde ich den 570S vorziehen. Aber ich schätze die Zeit der Verbrenner ist einfach vorbei...

Hat null mit Verbrenner zu tun, das ist der Batteriemüll, der das Auto schwerer macht. Wenn dann nicht mehr Leistung als beim Vorgänger vorhanden ist, ist das Auto logischerweise nicht schneller. Aber wer sich für Batteriesportwägen interessiert, hat das Thema Auto sowieso nicht so verstanden.

Der Serienmäßige 570 schafft bei einem Fahrer und normalen Bedingungen 5,6...5,7. In dem Video das du verlinkt hast sind zwei relativ schwere Passagiere drin und es ist nass und kalt, bei einem Hecktriebler nicht wirklich optimal.

Was a little disappointed hearing the Artura was going to the M630, but man that noise makes up for it. Leave it to McLaren to produce supercars that sound awesome and blow the doors off Lambos for days.
The same sound has the BMW K1600B. K1600 Grand America.

Funny. I was going to comment that I could not take him seriously wearing those gloves. Driving gloves are used when driving for long periods of time or for grip (they might even impede grip here). 🙄

I wish you got your hands on a new model corvette and did testing.. curious to see what your numbers would show with all these vette owners claming 0-60 times in 2.6 seconds (some have said).. also quarter mile and 100-200 kmh would be interesting..
in good condition a Z06 does 0-60 in just 2.6 with no problems. there's a video of a Z06 convertible, roof down, and passenger doing 2.86 0-60 according to Vbox, and he was on a backroad
@@Luke-cb3ly ya Z06 should do that. but just the standard corvette with corvette timer is completely fake. Z06 does 130 mph in quarter mile, thats fast
@@twfinc6855 clearly you don't know anything about corvettes. there is nothing "fake" in the C8. happens that the PDR counts time with 1 foot rollout. so when the car shows a time it is always a difference of 0.2 seconds in Vbox. Chevy always gives the average time, for example according to GM the C8 stingray does 0-60 at 2.9 and 1/4 mile at 11.3 and in the PDR it shows 0-60 at 2.7 and 1/4 mile 11.2 because the PDR sum the 1 foot rollout. some owners have already managed to do the 0-60 in 2.8 and 1/4 mile 11.2 and in the PDR it shows 2.6 0-60 and 11.1 in 1/4 mile. so basically the C8 time on the 1/4 mile is always around 11.2-11.4 so that's why GM released the time of 11.3. the same goes for the Z06, GM posted a time of 2.6 on the 0-60 and 10.6 on the 1/4 mile, motor trend got 2.7 on the 0-60 and 10.7 on the 1/4 mile, and Emilia got 10.5 on the 1/4 mile . ie if the best is 10.5 and the worst are between 10.7 it means that the average time is 10.6 just like GM said. they don't lie about performance like the Italians, and they don't publicize worse times like the Germans, GM always, ALWAYS! discloses the correct numbers of power and performance, nothing more and nothing less. detail, different from Porsche, the speedometer of the C8 only shows 1mph more than the Vbox

The 992 Turbo S is more in the 6.0s 100-200 (I can only talk for the runs we have done)….and we had a passenger onboard here, so I guess there’s still something in it for the Artura.

Sound good but the old 570s from 100 200 and 200 250 was the same. And thats already pretty old card.

Don’t forget, this car only weighs 1400 kg…another 80 kg is noticeable at 100-150 km/h.

@@Bmw545m - It appears about the same from what I've seen. The 570s did a best of 10.17 but the majority of runs 10.2-3 and the Artura in very limited drag runes has already done 10.2's. Do you have data from esle where and can you link me too it?

@@Bmw545m the 1/4 times are curious. The Artura gets out slower but traps at a much higher speed over the 1/4 showing it's performance advantage even if it's slower from the dig. What times are you seeing that demonstrates it's slower I'm curious.
