I don't think Superman is convinced, in fact if you see the last page, it seems that Superman knows that the real Bruce Wayne is below trying to escape, so he bought him time talking with Zur-En-Arrh. It's just a suposition
Supes have xray vision and super hearing. He is simply abiding for now because he got his ass whooped by ZNR.
Because Zur technically really is Bruce if not just a part of him. It works from that angle specifically.
This story still has my attention, it's good. Though its no Ultimate Spider-dad, that thing is solid so far. And leave it to Damien to instantly side with the more aggressive option that suits him, the little rascal. Appreciate the effort as always, Benny.

Can't Superman just listen to hear Bruce's heartbeat since he is capable of hearing Lois Lane's heartbeat out of everyone in metropolis. So if he has reservations if failsafe is Bruce Wayne wouldn't he be able to instantly be able to listen for Bruce's heartbeat to see if he's still alive in his body?

I like the Zur-En-Arrh part of the story and how it’s ruining Batman’s life and reputation but I don’t like how this story and other issues before this made everything about the Joker so deliberate. Captio crafted the Joker to everything that he is, how he feels no pain, how there’s three of him somewhat (the personality thing idk), how Joker knows certain things about Batman. Now this? All of Joker’s feats and accomplishments were all deliberate. Killing Jason because he was alone and stumbled into his plans and Joker never liked Robins because he wants Batman all to himself. Paralyzing Barbara to prove a point that was selfishly about him so he won’t feel alone but he has Batman and they had a moment of sincerity. And etc. This relationship he has for Batman is now not even for him or about him. It was all deliberate, all planned just so he can bring out a Batman that he saw briefly. Sure, Joker wants Batman to see things like he does and be like him so they can cause chaos together and/or kill Joker and continue his wrath, but not to a robot. He could’ve started to plan this when he fought Zur in RIP but all the way back in the early days like my god. So, idk. This just doesn’t sit well for me of Joker’s relationship with robot Batman

why do batman writers like making really interesting villains and then feel compelled to tie them to someone bigger or more popular near the end here they tied everything to the joker and during batman eternal they had to replace the cool reveal of cluemaster being behind it all with the court of owls being the real masterminds batman writers need to put more faith in smaller villains

This is yet again another reason why I hate this plot line I hate that they really just made Joker's reason for doing everything is to draw out this character that was just made Canon I don't think it has any depth I feel like it's just a dumb reason to shoe horn him in and make him seemed really important when he really isn't and it makes whatever reason he gave for what he ever did a lie or anytime he said there is no true reason to what he does they just said oh yeah there is he just never said it

I’m sure that Bruce told Superman about Zur anar and how he thinks. This would make a great Arkham game where you are Batman and the opening hours are about how you failed to beat fail safe then you come back only to find out that you are now facing Zur in the robot that would a cool game. I wonder if Zur ever thought of trying to make his own bat family by making the others go through the same hypno trans that Bruce did.

So ZuranArr built a failsafe, for if Batman went too far. ZuranArr is the batman who goes too far... The comics just become more contradictionary, random and anti-climatic by the day.
You have to remember Damien struggle with being the grandson of the demon you know it’s bad when even Superman is puzzled 🤨

I wonder about some of the unique skills Bruce has developed over the years. I mean he could literally sneak up on the superman family. But i wonder about Superman himself. Superman knows Bruce's heartbeat. Thats a thing he would be able to discern from whatever is the constant sounds he can hear with his super hearing. I wonder if Bruce can sorta get around it to stay somewhat hidden. Superman isnt necessarily trying to hear or casually hear bruces heart especially since he is supposed to think that bruce is a robot now. I wonder how close they need to be for him to figure out that this is pretty much another evil batman scenario. Bruce has the element of surprise now, so there isnt anyway hes gonna let that go. I like that Damians moral compass is being tested here. Of course he'd side with Xur. He knows "Batman" but he also knows his father. Still dont care about punchline.
If Batman created a robot that defeated the entire Justice League, I’m sure Amanda Waller or Lex Luthor could have to.
Might be the wrong place to ask, but does anyone have a good reading order to get caught up on what's lead to this event? Have only read court of owls and death in the family but that was a long time ago, really hard to find an up to date order online
This storyline is basically just contained in Batman right now. It'll branch into an event in the summer. But right now Batman 125 5o 146 is pretty self contained

This is the dumbest storyline. Superman could easily hear if Bruce was alive. Plus, Batman would never upload his consciousness into a robot. He’d rather die, knowing one of the Bat-Family would likely become Batman.

The more you believe yourself to be immune to propaganda, or just being tricked the less care you take when it comes dressed in views you already hold before it walks you down the garden path to something else. Bit by bit. We see this constantly and are still at risk.

What is this NONSENSE 🤬 It's fine to want to expand a character's origin within certain parameters, like Bill Finger with Detective Comics 168 ('The Man Behind The Red Hood!'), and then Alan Moore (The Killing Joke), Dennis O'Neil (Batman: Images from Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight 50), Ed Brubaker (Batman: The Man Who Laughs), and A.J. Lieberman (Batman: Gotham Knights: 'Hush Returns') all worked well with Batman #1. Batman: Zero Year worked well , although it eliminated the 'struggling comedian' aspect...buuut to reduce Joker to a mere pawn/trainee like Chip Zdarsky did in Joker: Year One and now this ABOMINATION is a bloody insult to the great writers before him...making these the WORST origin story 'enhancements' ever - even Geoff Johns' Three Jokers isn't this ABOMINABLE ☠️💀☠️ All it did was to introduce two characters who won't be around in even five years and this story arc will be just a bad memory.
