But he WAS embraced, he just wasn't destined to be ruler of Asgard. He was the beloved prince, alongside his boisterous brother. With Hela being his older sister, I'd say Thor was more the odd one out than Loki ever was.

Loki was actually lonely because no one was interested in his brother's background. Only his mother really cared about him and gave him as much attention as Thor, so Loki loved her.

Frost Giants really were the monsters that parents told their children about at Night on Asgard..Odin knew Loki's true race and yet he raised Loki to hate his own race.. Odin didn't tell Loki about his race and family even after 1000+ years and Loki had to find out himself. Also Thor himself admitted it once that "despite his grave imbalance..Loki understood rule better than I ever would" So why exactly was Thor picked as the ruler? Because he was the favorite among Asgard. Loki was not so strong like Thor...but he was wise..And yet he always gets shushed out and cast aside(Two examples in first Thor Movie: Thor's friends saying "What? Silver tongue turned lead?" and Odin literally shushing Loki during the Thor casting our scene despite Loki being quiet the entire time.)

I strongly believe that *no one* could ever play him better then Tom Hiddleston.
The nick fury and loki scene is so good looking back. Loki was right about everything he said. Shield wanting unlimited power, how the avengers are all lost broken creatures (all suffered trauma), how the cage wasn't fit for him because it can't block magic. Loki is always right. He just underestimated the avengers in the end. If he hadn't been a diva he might have won.
I think he didn’t want to win he was clearly tortured when he had just got to earth and he’s clearly scheming and intelligent it is very unlikely that had he been in his right mind, he would have done the same. I think all of this was his plan
I believe the only reason he lost at the end was merely because he's portrayed a villain. Who could have won against that army of his and all the destruction he caused. But avenger movies are all like that, no matter how great your plan is, how much magic and powers you have, only the heroes will win at the end, the average protagonist loving plots, you know.

That's partially why I'm pissed that Loki was killed off early in Infinity War. Like imagine if Loki and Banner had both landed in the Sanctum Santorum and then Loki went with Tony to space cuz he knows the inner workings of Thanos’s army and weaponry cuz of the year he spent with him. Top it off with the fact that Peter (Spiderman) stowed away on the ship to help Tony rescue Dr. Strange, and that now Loki was helping to save him too, that would have been funny and iconic.

I love anything and everything to do w Loki - and definitely everything he says! The only thing that bothers me in this video (well really in Ragnorok) is when Thor tells that story re Loki turning himself into a snake & then shapeshifting back into himself and stabbing Thor (“we were eight at the time”). I adore Loki’s smile, of course, but THEY were definitely not eight. Thor is older than Loki. That’s established at numerous points thruout Marvel (& while not as imp., thruout Marvel comics as well). Maybe only by, say, two human years but he’s older. (And I’m guessing at the age. Thru the flashback we see during the original Thor movie. Maybe three years. ) But they were NOT both eight. Thor could have been eight and Loki five. Or six. It’s a stupid point to harp on but it bothers me every time I see Thor tell that story. Anyway, apart from nitpicking that point, as said, I adored the entire video and your other one as well!! (You’ve made lots of vids. I meant the other 10+ minute vid of Loki mischief. ) I don’t have the creative skills to make videos so I’m always impressed with other ppls work, especially when they piece together their editing just so. I think Marvel dropped the ball on Thor's and Loki's relative ages. I looked up the actors who played the young versions in Thor, and they are about a year apart in age only. Loki was found by Odin in 965 A.D., making him 1053 years old in 2018. In Endgame, Thor says that he "only lived in Asgard for 1500 years or so", making him significantly older than Loki, as per the comics. On the other hand, taking into account that no one in Asgard slipped up to tell Loki he was adopted, I'm cynically assuming that no one knew about it (except for Odin, Frigga, and perhaps Heimdall), so I was tempted to think they were supposed to be twins. Twins may be only minutes apart in age, but in a royal family someone would definitely keep track of which one was older. But magic may have been involved to make Asgardians near Frigga retroactively remember her second pregnancy. Here ends my rant about the discrepancy of their ages. :)

Certainly in the Marvel movies, and I believed in the comics and mythology as well. I don’t wish to go back and reread Norse mythology - I am pretty positive that Thor is known to be older, and I certainly believed it was known - by BOTH Frigga and Odin - that Loki was Jotun. It’s possible, though I doubt that the Marvel comics would change things that much re the ages of the Odinson family. Bc it’s something that comes up in plays, novels, operas, etc. [Not the specific ages of the boys so much as the stories re Thor and Loki.] I’m not so much doubting you as wondering where this happened? Indeed, this discrepancy in ages always made Odin’s speech to the boys in the throne room (or wherever they were) sound ridiculous to me as well (I.e., “you were both born to be kings, but only one of you can be king of Asgard”) bc as Thor was his firstborn, and progenitor* laws were used in those days, Thor was obviously the heir to the throne, Loki (supposedly) being the spare. OTOH, Odin may still have had his Machiavellian scheme in mind when he said that so who really knows what he meant. [Just the worst parent in history. IMPO.] *Hopefully, I’m using the correct word.
@@prosen8966 Not Frigga, Frigga knew Loki was adopted, and I even wrote it in my post. But literally everyone else in Asgard. Human history teaches us that if a couple adopt a baby, neighbours would notice, and if you don't tell your kid it's adopted, one of the other kids will. So nearly everyone in Asgard believed the Loki was born to Frigga, and for some reason didn't question it eventhough the queen had not been pregnant and delivered the baby without any assistance?
