I can draw a face easy but I hate how paper feels so I just do digital art... I'm not sure but I think I posted a video that has ONE drawing on paper with a few I drew on my phone. As another artist, I will say this to beginners. You’re art will most likely not look like this right out of the gate. If it doesn’t, don’t think you’re a bad artist, you’re learning! Watching tutorials, practicing a lot, and experimenting using different mediums (different art tools) are amazing ways to start making your art look “better” (to me, no one’s a bad artist and the word better in art is really annoying. Art is subjective, someone may be amazing in your eyes at drawing but someone else doesnt like their artstyle, and that’s okay. Just because you’re a beginner doesn’t mean your bad at art, no one is! Everyone’s preferences are different, and no one has to be the “best” at art. Don’t worry about if other people don’t like your artstyle, because it’s all based on preferences and to a lot of people the more experienced you are at drawing the “better than others” it looks when really, they’ve just been drawing for a very long time and that doesn’t make them better than everyone else! I AM NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN WITH THAT THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND WHAT I THINK LOL)

Fun proportion tip: Generally, on a standard, generic face, eyeballs are an eyeball apart, and nostril edges are at the same distance as right before the inner corner of the eye. Ears tend to line up with eyebrows at the very top (only from head on and flat side view) and the mouth at their bottom.

As an artist, i always drew those guidelines to feel like a professional but ill tell u one thing, u have to know how those guidelines work before anything else. If u draw those guidelines by themselves without having knowledge of how to use them, u wont be able to do any better than what u would do without them. Try to understand how to make them work and keep them simple. If u dont get proportional enough trace one part on to the other side! Its not cheating.

Another tip: When drawing the shape you are aloud to be messy! (As long as it’s a pencil.) you can also find stencils online and in stores. If not then do a rough sketch and your art and get the right hand angles and movement. Try to stay as focused as possible. Being calm helps improve. Remember , diversity is amazing. The more different YOUR drawing is the better. Remember that your art , out of 8 billion people , probably looks like someone. Remember that when you’re drawing you could be calling someone ugly or trash. It’s okay just try to stay calm!

As an artist, I would like to share with all beginning artists that it's totally ok if your art doesn't turn out the way you expect it to be the first time. Or the second time. Or the hundredth time. Just keep practicing and I promise it's going to get better. Every artist you have and will meet has gone through tough times where they were feeling really bad about their art, including me. That's completely normal. But please don't give up . Keep experimenting and learning. And once you've become better, share this advice with other beginning artists to help them grow. And if art isn't your thing and you don't feel happy or passionate about it, that's okay too. Do what makes you happy. Stay safe, everybody ❤

I recommend beginner artists to make sure their hand while holding the drawing instrument (pen, pencil, mechanical pencil, etc) to make sure they're comfortable with the way they hold it. I don't know about others, but sometimes when I see others asking me how to draw so good, they hold it in a way where their hand is uncomfortable. To all the young or beginner artists out there: do NOT try to find your style immediately when you start. When I started, I was so obsessed with finding “my style” that it changed almost every week and I never got better at drawing. It actually got so bad that I couldn’t physically bring myself to draw for two months. Just learn some of the basics first, and try to keep everything at the same rate of learning. I can draw stuff great from the head to the shoulders because that’s what I worked on for years, but I can’t do anatomy or the body because that was never something I practiced. It’s ok if your art doesn’t look like the stuff on Pinterest in your first year. Heck, mine still doesn’t and I’ve been doing this for about 12 years. Take it slow, love what you do! You’ll find your style eventually :)

Take your time, because drawing should also be fun for you and not just annoy you. 2. Don't press! If you should press and it doesn't work on the first try, you can't really erase it. Press lightly so that the lines are very delicate and light. 3. It's better to make many fine lines than a few heavily pressed ones. Why? With multiple fine lines, the drawing looks more detailed and much more professional. So instead of making one line, you should make several small ones. If you don't understand me, then don't follow this tip, as it can also lead to misunderstandings.

As a beginner, this was good but I think we need a tutorial to help us understand structures and shapes.
Sometimes I think artists forget what the word "beginner" actually means
that's not true. the drawing itself is not very complicated - no structure, no shading, simple angle. Perfect tutorial for beginners, a bad tutorial for people who genuinely want to learn something

I will take your advice as a beginner thanks for the tips ❤
@@bronzesepialady of course! These type of tutorial videos are really good but at the same time so annoying, because it never explains to people that it won’t look like the videos first try, and thus “beginner friendly” tutorial really isn’t, I’m not hating on this artist it’s such a beautiful drawing but not something that helps beginners learn, I’m so glad I could help ❤️❤️❤️

I am a beginner with drawing FACES and I did this step by step and it doesn’t look bad!! Totally recommend for beginners drawing faces!!❤❤❤
Tip: For full eyelashes use a thicker pencil/pen and put some pressure on the pencil/pen at the base of the lashes and lift off as you draw the lash. This gives them that full look without struggling to draw a bunch of individual lash hairs. This will take practice so don’t get frustrated right away, hope this helps!!

honestly a lot of the face tutorials have their own style already incorporated so if any newbies want to to try and practice drawing faces for the first time, just drawing footballs shapes for the eyes and two circles for pupils and a triangle for the nose, thats totally fine. making sure you get the basic shapes down is so important before you start to add more details and eliminates some errors people will make without knowing

If u draw those guidelines by themselves without having knowledge of how to use them, u wont be able to do any better than what u would do without them. Try to understand how to make them work and keep them simple. If u dont get proportional enough trace one part on to the other side! Its not cheating.

Guys, do this: 1. Look at a bunch of simple facial feature styles one feature at a time 2. Pick one that doesn’t look too hard 3. Make it in your own style, add details 4. Repeat for all features 5. Try a bunch of face shapes, and make sure to get the right proportions 6. Practice every day. This works. Trust me. Don’t use tutorials, just look at some cartoon characters and make them in your new style!
Thank u so much finally a oerwon who can helpp

Your Good at drawing
If I were to say anything, the eyes are not the same shape, but it’s still cute, and definitely good reference for beginners!
Remember- there is no right or wrong way to hold your pen, pencil, mechanical pencil, etc. Hold it how it's comfortable to you C:

Ty! I have been working on art for 2 or 3 years and I’ve always had the hardest time on faces, so this really helped me ❤
To all the young or beginner artists out there: do NOT try to find your style immediately when you start.
So beautiful!♥️♥️

@@Ready2Go4It Do not give up! Practice creates masters!
@@Olivia_385 I'll try
@@Ready2Go4It Here a few little tips that make miracles: 1. Be patient. Even with the pros, not everything succeeds on the first try.
