The best thing about being a korn fan is that their songs seem to sound better the more you hear them. We are fucking blessed to have them.
getting better with time like wine.
+Chadley Allen fuck yeah! man ✌
You couldn't be any more correct, I was relatively uncertain about this song to begin with, a week later i listen to it again and I am thinking WTF is wrong with me I LOVE THIS SONG xD
idk ive been a korn fan since 97 and they've had better music than this but then again its the best new music since untouchables
90sReTroNeRd 4LiFe not what I meant. I literally didn't like any of their music the first time i heard it and yet the next few times my eyes were opened. for example I used to hate it when falling away from me came on after slipknot.
The actor who plays the photographer is very good.
He's a magician.
he was lead singer for the band Possum Dixon in the 90s.
Yup, thats Zabrecky.
@@mishmashmedley really??
@@panzerwaffen2873 yep yup
Probably Korns most underrated and one of their best songs
Truly this!
Totally. And the band seem to underrate it as well. I flew from the UK to see them at Banc of California. I had this track on replay on the 11-hour flight. They never played it at the concert. I have no idea why, but the band don't seem to like this track. It is my "happy" track. I love it.
True this is one of their most underrated albums in general
After being very underwhelmed by all of their releases after Take a Look in the Mirror, Seeing this video and it instantly kicking my ass was such a welcome feeling. This album quickly became one of my favorites next to Korn I, Follow the Leader, and Take a Look in the Mirror.
@@ArmeniusLOD I agree that the middle era of Korn was a bit underwhelming, but you can’t deny that 2006-2014 had some bangers on those albums
I put this comment here so whenever someone like this it reminds me to listen to this again
Poser fucking loser what you haven't heard of a Playlist dumbass.
been 11 months, come back
Can't believe how many people hated Untouchables. That album was fucking great.
Issues is where its at.
Untouchables is a great album. Issues is sick as well. Both are solid.
untouchables was very good, but there was some weak shit on there too! the good parts of untouchables are among korns best work though! take a look in the mirror was a pretty shitty album though imo....
Everyone's different I loved the heaviness of Take a look in the mirror. I'm not overly keen on play me and the re recording of Alive but at least I now know what he was saying
hre2stay i just didn't think take a look in the mirror was creative at all, all the songs blurred into one another and sounded very similar, but i know there are a lot of korn fans that like that album....
Probably the best song I've heard from them in the past 10+ yrs.
Honestly, Love and Meth ( 2013 ) is very strong song.
And "It's All Wrong" was basically this same formula and almost as good as these new songs. It was a b-side/bonus from Paradigm Shift
you are right, i think korn lost his initial style in the past in some albums, but this song and the upcoming album sounds like: "hell yeah! they are coming again from the ashes to burn all down"...
You DID hear Hater and The Game is Over, right? I feel a lot of people missed them, because they were only on a special version of the album. But those songs are soooo goooood.
Fuck yea. I missed them at first then when I saw the world tour album... had to buy it as well just for those songs. Goddamn awesome tunes.
My Grandpa told me about Black Sabbath My Dad told me about Metallica My kids from me gonna hear about KoЯn
All 3 are great
Hahaha just showed me 4 year old. He said MORE!

Nice copy and paste buddy
Mine won't hear anything. I need to do them first.
- Johnathan, scream something heavy! -LIIIFE! -Wow, that's too cruel
What's cruel is the fact you're completely ignoring the context, the reasons he's screaming whenever he screams, even if it's something as simple as the word "life", there's a reason for it, and you're blatantly ignoring that.

Definitely one of their most underrated tracks for sure. Love this song.
Lyrics: Things keep ending up this way (come and get off) Another notch is carved away In the thoughts of mass decay Funny how things end up this way Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) does nobody know I'm insane? Satisfaction is delayed (come and get off) Its motivation is displayed Finding its misogyny Funny how I die and go away (come and get off) Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) Does nobody know I'm insane? I'm constantly beat up inside And I'm the one to blame No one can relate to me Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Beaten down, dominated by its sound Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) does nobody know I'm insane?

The audiovisual experience of this is insane
Yeah it is. When it's slow so is the video and when it's fast the video gets faster.
@Dan Becker "To those that don't know, they actually used to pose dead people like they are alive and take pictures, sometimes family members would be in the photos as well, very strange but true!" - 95TurboSol And that's because the camera had a delay, so with dead people, they won't be moving, so it was easier to take good photography without blur or anything else.
when he says “no one can relate to me” gets me every time.. Jonathan Davis is literally the only artist I can deeply relate to, and honestly helped and still helps me express myself for years now

@@alientooth9125 sameeee
Sure
Setting the lyrics to the side, the video itself is a post mortem photographer like people have been saying. It was an old belief that cameras could capture the soul back then, and so my interpretation of this is that the camera is capturing her soul, and that's why at the end, when he takes the picture of himself he spirals out of control towards the camera and then is just gone. I love this song, the video, the music, the minor chords in the background just make this incredibly dark and creepy, but in the best way. This is real music and art.
The person who had the idea for the video is a genius.

The photographer is a hell of an actor, no bs!!
From a Bipolar. :D This is just an amazing video clip, they depicted insanity so well. I'm bipolar and i had psychosis, somehow i can relate to him, the photographer and strangely enough i feel close to the lady. All in all this is pure art, the song and the video clip. Song itself also manages to depict insanity well too. I wish i could explain how psychosis works and is alike. It's like merging of reality and illusion. I was gathering moon at nights ( holding the moon in my hand and feeling it, i was doing this in public having so much fun ), dancing near the sea at midnight all alone, there are also delusions. That little detail at 2:27, her eyes move a little, that's how it works, that's how madness, insanity works, that scene and in fact the whole clip is genius. When he wasn't looking she moved her eyes even if she is dead. There is a catch with bipolars. You may get into psychosis, lose touch with reality varying degrees depending on the individual and yet you come back to sanity in the end. This is the fascinating part about bipolars, bipolar psychosis ends, mania ends and you regain your touch with reality. It's like experiencing insanity and coming back to normal. I'm on medication for about 11 months now and i'm already considering quitting medication because i really miss walking between the lines between sanity and insanity. Everything mental health related i'm fascinated with. For my loved ones, bipolar is nothing but just an ilness that needs proper medication and treatment, for me it's existential, i don't expect them to fully understand how it feels, how liberating an experience it may be. Eventhough there are episodes of rage and at times the disorder takes it's hold on you and it becomes a burden, a chain, something that commands you rather than you being in control, then at other times it's a liberating and transcendental experience. The thing is it's a really innate experience and no one could understand it other than yourself and maybe some other bipolar or other people with mental disorders who experience psychosis. A dead woman screaming...dancing...free..in his mind, that's just amazing. :D Then at the end he experiences it himself being alone with his camera, taking his own picture, the journey continues him being the main character now. It's all in his head. Psychosis is like that. They really did a good job portraying this.
I hope you have a great life. I deal with physical and emotional pain daily so i can empathise. Do what you need to have a good life.
@@snoox27 Thank you very much, i hope all your pain goes away and i hope you too have a great life. Dealing with pain daily is hard, it's tiring, i feel emptiness, after the psychosis and mania ended everything feels empty, too materialistic this world, i perceived the world more like a fantasy, a tale, bipolars tend to live in their inner fantasy worlds. Do you suffer from traumas, where does that physical and emotional pain come from, if you don't mind me asking? i also have PTSD. I wish you the best in life, thank you for caring.

I've only heard one Korn track in my life. That was a long time ago. A friend played it. I wasn't into metal or any kind of rock music back then. I also like his voice when he's not growling. If Korn have more tracks like this, they have just earned a new listener!
KoRn is a great band, although yeah, I wouldn't really compare them to Megadeth. (No offense to Megadeth fans, it's just that KoRn is more alt-metal than thrash)
I can understand why. This is not trash. I just didn't knew what aspect of metal they play. But I'm not disappointed. This is a beautiful brutal song.
Henrik Schmidt That's "thrash", as in thrash metal, not trash. XD

I have to meet the person who wrote the script for this video. :') I'm seriously in love with it! I would die so happy being able to shake hands with said person. Typically when a band makes a music video I'm always disappointed. Most of the time its because my own creative mind imagined it differently upon hearing the song for the first time. My imagination is quite vivid, and the things I see when listening to a song typically seem impossible. This one is really beautiful everything is very aesthetically pleasing for me. Its hypnotizing, and I really really really want more.

3:09 the pleasure of seeing and hearing this part is so powerful, its like my soul is very happy even its too dark.
Awesome video! They've kinda went back to making darker themed videos. More memorable ones. Can't even remember the videos from the last 3 albums O_O
love and meth was an awesome video
+Cam Par don't get me wrong I've loved every album and especially Love and Meth. It's just that there wasn't any concept or theme to it. Just a performance video. When I was growing up listening to Korn, every video had a cool idea behind it. But the last two videos have went back to that and I couldn't be more chuffed!
***** true
Well video for Love And Meth was one of their best for me, rest was meh.
That's cool for you man! I would recommend going back and watching the 'Freak on leash', 'Somebody Someone', and maybe even the 'Thoughtless' video, which has Jessie from Breaking Bad. Which also serves as proof that the man doesn't age lol
The start of this is so fucking awesome, seriously. This Korn is really promising for the new album. Back to the old shit, I love it!
I just love everything. The music, the video... Especially how the video is filming the woman, I love her body and the camera movement. Everything is so good!! 🖤
When the eyes moved that sent a chill down my spine. I loved it.
This music video makes me wanna study filmography. This video is amazing. Wish all music videos were like this.
