When a vehicle accidentally falls into water, the situation can be very critical: 1. Stay calm. 2. Immediately unbuckle your seatbelt. 3. Before water enters the vehicle, quickly open the windows or use a safety hammer (prepared in advance) or use the pointed end of a seat headrest to break the window. 4. Do not attempt to open the door, as this will allow water to rush in faster. 5. The window is the best escape route. If the window cannot be opened, wait until the water pressure equalizes before trying to open the door. 6. Once the window is open, leave the vehicle immediately, helping children to escape first. 7. After leaving the car, swim towards the surface immediately. If you lose your sense of direction, follow the bubbles. 8. If escape is impossible, call for help if possible, or use the car's emergency system. 9. At the same time, if it brings you comfort or focus, recite a personal prayer, mantra, or affirming words that resonate with your belief.

Safety hammers don't work on newer cars as they now coat side windows with the same anti shatter protective film as windshields. You roll down windows. Even electric windows you will have 20-30 seconds of use after submersion.

Wow, I didn't realize that the hull was so damaged. It looks like quite a chunk was taken out of the bow of the ship. I wonder if this ship is going to be written off?
It's repairable
This particular ship has crashed before, and has a chain of maintenance issues. To be honest, the hull is so damaged it might not be seaworthy again.

And, I hope, if it was intentional, that it wasn't a trial run for more "accidents" to come. Thank God the ship didn't lose all of its hazardous materials! The one official says "No harm..." Really?? Then why were they deemed Hazardous to begin with?🧐 Of COURSE there will be harm! Even if it only kills off water life!

That bridge is the flimsy diaper I'm forced to use. It's distracting at church. We need better bridges and britches.

Did the bulbous bow make the contact with the bridge pillar? The upper structure of the bow at the tip doesn’t seem bent
the top of the ship by the anchor clipped the cement pier taking it all down the ship didnt sink its just stuck in all that 20-40 foot to the left and it would have limped by
0:05 Many structural engineers have mentioned that it was a really bad design. Because the pillars where hollow inside. And that they were suppose to be a solid structure. As you can see in the video, the entire inside of the pillars are hollow and designed improperly. And the way the bridge knuckle was sitting on the pillars. It was a very small structure keeping the bridge upright. Any knock on the pillars would knock the bridge over. what connected the bridge to the pillar was very very small. and not really structurally correct by what many structural engineers have said.

It was a power failure on the ship. Deliberately running a container ship into a bridge in Baltimore makes no sense in even the stupidest conspiracy theory. Take off your tinfoil hat and get a life.
It was a 'power issue,' lost propulsion, its backup power also failed in between, with ship as big as this its not easy to control or turn as fast as you think. You can read about it online.
