An absolute legend. Silk Sonic is amazing but this is where Andy shines the most. He makes it look so effortless. The Free Nationals are one of the tightest units around. Each member is as spectacular as the other. So jealous of the lucky people who witnessed this live.
Agreed! Love Silk Sonic but Andy thrivvvvvves with the free nationals!! He's still an underrated solo artist imo but glad he's gotten lots of exposure over the past year w Bruno 🙌
It's never too late. You can still see then live some time. I mean...if we lucky they gone bless us with music till old ages

Was in the audience for this and it was insane! You can’t hear how loud the audience actually was but everyone went crazyyyy! Hearing him and the band live was truly an experience 😭🙌🏼 They need to come back and do a longer show!

the first time I've heard of him was when I went to see him live. Blew us away as the guy is non stop and can bang an every instrument, rap and sing while doing it and mix genres of music and its all seamless. Crazy how mush talent and steez just reeks out of this guy.
That fucking KEYBOARD man. T. Nava solos go so fucking hard. This whole band sits so perfectly in the pocket too which makes everything automatically sound at least 50% better.

A perfect blend of funk, hip hop, R&B and rap. Anderson Paak is a dynamic drummer, singer and producer. This is the personal opinion of a 65 year old man who cant wait till he comes to New York
This was amazing. Anyone who says there isn't good music nowadays isn't looking hard enough. Anderson and his band are on a whole different level.
The music and films might be better on aggregate but the audience for them is dwindling.

It's pretty funny to me that Silk Sonic is what blew up AP...when his sets with the Free Nationals are FIYAH and been right under everyone's noses for the last 7-8 years.
I love Andy's records, but I find way more enjoyment from listening to his live performances with The Free Nationals. Some how its better than the actual tracks and those tracks are amazing.

Met Anderson in the Vans store that day and was lucky enough to get a golden ticket. One of the best gigs I've ever been to, Andy is a LEDGE!

Andy's evolution over these few short years has been nothing short of amazing to watch. Talk about unique! Can you think of another once in a generation showman who also is a masterful drummer? Also a masterful rapper? Also a masterful composer? Paak's got huge "X-FACTOR" vibe, that indefinable radiance, belief, honesty, joy, edginess, fierce grit and danger too. . . cause there can't be no high "art" without surprise and danger! It's going to be fun to watch his message expand and his music compositions change to translate across the acoutics of larger and larger venues. Cause Andy's so damned pro, he'll know what to do. You will see. Unbelievable!

I’ve seen Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals a few times and lemme tell you they NEVER disappoint. And it almost seems like each time they’ve performed over the years they get funkier. They’ve rearranged the songs, they all sound great and Andy killing it on the drums. This was a perfect way to start off my day. 🙌🏾🙌🏾 #YesLawd

Y’all need to watch more of his live performances. The only thing different with this performance was that he incorporated more choreography to Am I Wrong, and he had the background singers in front with him instead of up top. He didn’t just start incorporating dance moves after Silk Sonic…he always did. Go look up a performance of 6 Summers…there’s choreography throughout.

@@swoopskee That's the point, the guy deserve a lot more attention. 22mi listeners in Spotify is so little if we think about how auto-tune 'artitsts' get 40mi or more. Most people just see him as the guy playing along with Bruno, just ask regular folks. He can reach and inspire more people and help reshape society's taste because almost every stuff being maded out there lacks real art, I mean a good bass line, a good drum... Music desperately need that.

Just discovered Anderson Paak, saw them supporting The Chilli Peppers at The London Stadium, they blew me away. From an old Essex Soul girl I can say they definitely have the funk!

It's so unfair that the drummer sings...he will always be in time with his lyrics and it will always feel relaxed. Damn. Pak is an AMAZING talent. Long live Anderson Pak and the Free Nationals.
Its way harder to sing and drum more then anything., alone from the noise.
Anderson is a very special talent. The kind that I grew up on. The natural talent and musicianship he posesses thats lacking in much of the music today. I love artists that can do it all and can put on a helluva show and never dissapoints.
I promise it isn't lacking, you just haven't heard of it yet (or aren't paying attention). Off the top of my head: fka twigs, the marías, daniel caesar, little simz, sampa the great, tash sultana, raveena, tame impala... many of these people write & produce all or most of their music, play multiple instruments, choreograph and/or creative direct their own music videos and performances. There is still true artistry around, you just have to go a bit below the surface
