Bro, this is perfect.. those guys were born to make music, period.
This session is UNREAL. The fact they recorded it in what seems like a perfect one shot, the way they’re all so technically perfect and that everything comes up so clean, the way they’re all so coordinated instrumentally and they sound like an album, the harmony of their voices matching so perfectly, the way they rearranged most of their songs and worked their transitions, not to mention the incredible (literally) sound engineering.... this is mind blowing 🤯. I discovered this band around 3 years ago when they just had a few EPS, I know they had something special... but After having seen them live 3 times and now seeing THIS, can say that they’re hands down one of the most talented and technically perfect band around. Such good instrumentalists, this is masterpiece

Patrick is the most talented musician I’ve seen to date. Every time the camera is on him he has a different instrument. He’s flawless with the beat machine and the glass bottle in myenemy was so perfect.

I get the impression when listening to them that they have a clear picture of what they want their 'sound' to be. *Myenemy* (3:15) So fired up, take a seat. So tied up, only make believe. All my love, take from me, All eyes up, but nothing there to see And what I never touch, I see And what’ll never touch me I would've never thought, I’d be My enemy Cold enough, it’s shaking me and it's so tough just waiting patiently So time’s up, it’s jading me And so I must fight the time we keep
*Bemyself* (6:45) I know that I can't be a few, I'll be myself I'm told to be over the moon, I can teach myself But I'm old, I can feel that it's true I believe myself And I know it'll be over soon, I can see myself See myself I'm trapped, I am trapped in the boot I can't free myself And I'll talk, but you know there's no use I can't hear myself The road's blocked, I can tell that we've stopped I will lead myself And I know if I'm moving or not I will be myself Be myself.
*Comedown* (11:13) No, no, no, no, no When it all comes down When it falls you can find a way out When it all hits the ground Come down When it's gone you can cry, let it go and try When it all comes down Come down.
*Lightenup* (14:53) Time to lighten up? I don't plan to Time I gave enough? I don't plan to Every eye is on us Every side is on us Sing it with pride and promise, never cry Never cry, but you know we like it honest, you know that's why we bought you. I like your style and all, but do it right. Do it in time. To lighten up? I don't plan to Time I gave enough? I don't plan to I need it, I love it. The music, the time it takes for the letter to write back. Let it go Let it go, 'cause this is the final product Drink it a while and call us Sell it for dimes and dollars There you go.
*Gamesofluck* (19:48) You sowed it slower to find your man, but folding over won't hide your hand. 'cause you waited long enough, hesitated over love now you're taking over us. 'cause you waited long enough, hesitated over love now you're taking over. Ha! Ooh, I can't just believe it Ha! Ooh, I cannot receive that. The strongest shoulder won't hold you up and cold October won't call your bluff. 'cause you make it dangerous when you're playing games of luck, now you're taking over us. Arguably, one of the best active bands in the world.
They're great technically and I love this live set, but come on. They rely heavily on a funky sound that has worked in the past and don't bring anything that innovative. There are more interesting candidates for "best active band". But Parcels do what they do really well, hands down.

underrated comment
Haha literally! "Pass the baton bro!" Straight up tagged him out. Thats awesome. I dont know why I just caught that. thanks though!
I'm pretty sure they got that from Pink Floyd's Sheep.
Parcles are the children of Beatles and Daft Punk. Edit: Omg guys, I've never had so many likes, thank yall so much!
They already deserve to record or live in the Abbey Road studios!
and a bit of China Crisis
Possibly with a hint of Steely Dan…
They already got the reincarnation of George Harrison
I seriously think Get Lucky was made by Parcels and ghostproduced by Daft Punk. I love Daft Punk but their last album was completely out of nowhere. And the style is really close to Parcel's.
Real people, really playing real music. Nobody's faking, no "play" button pressed. Else? Your music is soooooooo dope!
I LOOOOOVE the deep groove they go into for a few minutes, starting at 51:47...ugh so good!!!
Imagine being so skilled that you flawlessly record an entire live album in one day. These guys are massively talented.
Not to be that guy, but that's how tons and tons of live albums are recorded, unless they take audio from multiple shows... This is really no different from them playing a concert, there just isn't any people and the sound is 100x better in a studio. Not saying this band isn't super talented, just that that is a common template for making a live album.
"Recordings mixed by Perceval Carré" The real mvp

@@percevalsound you did a great job man! congrats!

@@percevalsound AMAZING JOB MAN
@@percevalsound Great job
Whoever listens to this for one time, will come back for multiple times, so glorious and majestic!
the way this guy can play the funkiest patterns and still sing at the same time is crazy to me!
The bassist is doing the actual heavy lifting though. The guitarists are playing pretty basic patterns.
@@abrarbw I'm sure you're not but I wouldn't undermine the guitar! The muting and strumming is insane, so goddamn tasteful
Beatles + Daft punk + Bee gees = Parcels
Exactly 👍🏼🤣
+ Nirvana
also like deff lepard in some parts
with a strong Steely Dan vibe
well the DP do have their role in the Parcels story as you might know...
How the hell am I only learning of these blokes now?? Already hooked after my first night of listening and watching. And fellow Aussies. New fan right here. ❤
If I can be half as sure as this hi hat in life, I'll be allright.
I feel like I should be paying to see this
