I have to agree with your statement. Duck hunting is the greatest show on Earth. Beautiful sunrises, beautiful sunsets. Nothing like to smells and feel the cold brisk air on your face and then you top it off. Big fat green head. Just cupped and sailing down. Nice and slow and your decoys. Yeah, nothing gets better than that
I have always known those teal are sneaky little suckers but that dive was a first!
If you're hauling in a toilet, I would not say your load was very light. 😆🤣 That duck your wad hit the thing, that's when you know they're close. Love watching the pelicans, there is a big flock of about 300 on the Wisconsin river where we have our family cottage. Reading the comments made me think, that is probably why we were not catching many fish this year, all those pelicans, completely slipped my mind that they eat fish.

I’ve never seen so many pelicans. Seen a lot of swans this year too. They should sell tags for swans. You only need one. Breasts are huge.

You don't need ducks for a great hunt. Time in God's creation that is so beautiful with your dad...absolutely nothing beats it. Better than anything created by man... Of course, a good nap while ducks are in the decoys is good also!! :)
I’d love to have an open season on pelicans. They indiscriminately kill fish in such huge numbers.
