It is known that a pair of bishops is stronger than a bishop and a knight but here comes Gukesh saying hold my knight. What a play. Amazing
Gukesh is underrated. His position looked horrible at the start but the way he transformed it into an advantage is incredible
Underrated? He's respected as one of the best players and a strong potential for WC
@@enijize1234well not really underrated but for awhile he seemed to be in Praggs shadow but he has emerged as a force to be reckoned with
@@michaelmassaro4375 i rate erigaisi and gukesh higher than pragg. But yeah pragg is better in shorter time control than gukesh, I believe. Also, nihal sarin is very underrated especially in classical, he is also a very solid player. And in shorter format he is a beast.
This guy born to narrate chess games 👏👏👏
most excellent, may I be bold and ask for a Gukesh series
Certainly I’ll do more yeah! And he seems quite popular overall
It's that same story, the younger guys are better than their rating, and Gukesh certainly was impressive in the tournament. His complete defanging of Naka in the last round was also impressive. Hopefully Ding Liren gets sharp for the WC, then this could be a memorable WC. Ding is also impressive when he is in good form.
Yes, Hikaru was so frustrated on seeing that there is nothing that he could do. That was also a super play by Gukesh, playing ad per the requirement of the situation is not easy.
a fine strategic win for Gukesh. thanks James.
Who’s James?
@@efyuniantic8433the narrator’ name Analyst of Epic Chess James Gardner UK 🇬🇧
Glad u coverefld this game, beautiful game
Ayyy, excited for the video my guy 😎😎🔥
A positional course! Thank you.
Had watched this game live, was surely worth the time. The maneuvering done by Gukesh in this match was simply top-notch.
Loved ur accent and the way represent chess ❤❤
Great Game by Gukesh winning with the black pieces funny I had Gukesh as my favorite GM before the Candidates but he definitely exceeded my expectations but with his consistency more and more I began to believe he could win the tournament Nepo coming back drawing the Game vs Fabi was icing on the cake making Gukesh Destiny’s Child should be a Great championship vs Ding I heard Sagar say the series will begin in November as well Thanks for the Game James enjoy your day 😊♟️
good play (trousering) from Gukesh thanks for uploading
Only the real ones know the trouser!
Impressive play !
Don't know if Ding has a chance
He's going to get walked.
If Gukesh hadn't gotten himself into time trouble against Alireza he would have ended with a truly dominant score. I didn't see it coming. Thought Pragg was stronger and Ian was feeling inevitable for most of that tourney.
Gukesh giving a master-class, ala Kasparov.
IM WAITING FOR WEI YI GAMES IN THE GRAND CHESS TOUR POLAND SUPER RAPID AND BLITZ STARTING ON THE 8TH OF MAY🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like Wei Yi a lot those should be exciting games I hope to get to see some of them
Will there be a large coverage like the candidates got ? I hope so
Kicking can got his 1800 by wining over grand masters about and under 1600, but when he come to 1700 and above he has negative score! He fouls everyone! He would always be a good chess player, but never methodical and hard working like this guy Gukesh! He beats 2 world records: the youngest one to reach 1800 and also the youngest one to go in chess history!
Gukesh displays an amazing level of maturity for his age.
Stunning Positional Masterpiece By Gukesh
Awesome game!
doesnt matter if he is a prodigy, a certain player would still report him as a cheater if Gukesh defeats him
well he congratulated him and went even further to praise him. he hardly congratulates people, let alone praising. Gukesh is a mentality monster, more than a prodigy. He says that his loss to Alireza made him realise he can win candidates, that's pure mental strength, no prodigy
beautiful accent and explanation, love it
Thanks a lot!
Is that like some weird Benoni or something?
nimzo indian butwith an early h6
@@epicchess2021 yeah. You’re right. Bishop on b4.
@@epicchess2021 yes. You’re absolutely right. The bishop on b4. The early c4 before d4 was played threw me off.
Trousered, such a British thing to say😂 Please keep them coming. Maybe just translate stuff like trousered or a move was pants for our friends over the pond.
Haha thanks good tip
Why didn't Magnus play??
In norway theres a myth that if you win too many times the same tournament, that will enfuriate the gods of war and they will hang you to a tree so your eyes can be eaten out by crows
He doesn’t wanna play for the wcc. That’s why he gave up his title
@@mikecroke6078 Magnus is trying to enjoy his life. Very smart decision when you think about it, him being happy is way more important than the entirely illusionary thought of a legacy .The type of questions people answer all the time at the end of their life, well Carlson can say he made the right decision.
@@jackson32 he said in many interviews he doesn’t like the format of the wcc. And unless they change it he will not play for the wcc. It’s well documented.
@@mikecroke6078 He recently did an interview and said the main reason he is not playing in the the WC process is because he does not enjoy it.
Cuak
6:27 why didn’t white take the h6 pawn?
Because the e5 pawn is falling and it's not a good tradeoff.
got it.thanks
Nijat had a bad candidates. So can't praise too much on gukesh on this match .😂
always that "en passant" joke! you know very well that is not allowed to talk while playing, James, at all!
Zwischenzuuuuug 🤫
Gukesh is a cheater.. He doesn't look like a 17.. He looks like older than Hikaru..
No brother. Many Indians tend to look older at a young age.
You fool. He is actually only 13. Not like you who is 57 and not even reached 1200 ELO rating. 😂😂😂😂😂
Joke of the year ❤😂
btw he looked 9 yo 2 years ago thats just what beard does to a guy. Also i never understood why people hate on beards rn like i think beards look awesome and gukesh looks pretty mature in the beard imo.
I am sure he cant wait to show you his birth certificate
