  • It is known that a pair of bishops is stronger than a bishop and a knight but here comes Gukesh saying hold my knight. What a play. Amazing

    • @@michaelmassaro4375 i rate erigaisi and gukesh higher than pragg. But yeah pragg is better in shorter time control than gukesh, I believe. Also, nihal sarin is very underrated especially in classical, he is also a very solid player. And in shorter format he is a beast.

  • It's that same story, the younger guys are better than their rating, and Gukesh certainly was impressive in the tournament. His complete defanging of Naka in the last round was also impressive. Hopefully Ding Liren gets sharp for the WC, then this could be a memorable WC. Ding is also impressive when he is in good form.

    • Yes, Hikaru was so frustrated on seeing that there is nothing that he could do. That was also a super play by Gukesh, playing ad per the requirement of the situation is not easy.

  • Great Game by Gukesh winning with the black pieces funny I had Gukesh as my favorite GM before the Candidates but he definitely exceeded my expectations but with his consistency more and more I began to believe he could win the tournament Nepo coming back drawing the Game vs Fabi was icing on the cake making Gukesh Destiny’s Child should be a Great championship vs Ding I heard Sagar say the series will begin in November as well Thanks for the Game James enjoy your day 😊♟️

  • If Gukesh hadn't gotten himself into time trouble against Alireza he would have ended with a truly dominant score. I didn't see it coming. Thought Pragg was stronger and Ian was feeling inevitable for most of that tourney.

  • Kicking can got his 1800 by wining over grand masters about and under 1600, but when he come to 1700 and above he has negative score! He fouls everyone! He would always be a good chess player, but never methodical and hard working like this guy Gukesh! He beats 2 world records: the youngest one to reach 1800 and also the youngest one to go in chess history!
