I actually prefer Limp Bizkit's cover. The beginning and the end of this song are haunting, like the message of a tormented soul. (Is that you, Tantalus?) But the middle sounds like a release of anger that does not blend with the rest of the song. Now, these are just my tastes. I do not demand, or even expect anyone to agree with me.

The Who became my favorite group when I heard Magic Bus, I still love that song and play it often. I only got to see them once in Concert and I loved every minute of it, it was at the Forum in Compton, Calif. way back when. I own every one of their Albums and every one if them is still in perfect condition because recorded the first play onto reel to reel tapes so I can can listen to them often without degrading the sound. That is the GREATEST COMMENT EVER!
So true a real band . There will never be bands like this again . Long Live Rock be it dead or alive
No. 1. Who's next No. 2. There is no number 2
Who?
I actually prefer Limp Bizkit's cover. The beginning and the end of this song are haunting, like the message of a tormented soul. (Is that you, Tantalus?) But the middle sounds like a release of anger that does not blend with the rest of the song. Now, these are just my tastes. I do not demand, or even expect anyone to agree with me.
Stunned me in 1971. Still does. Amazing band.
Me, too. still dig it at 68...
Excellent year I was 17 in high school drove a 67 maroon mustang I was hot lol really wasnt

I love this video. It's like hearing someone with troubled mind reveal their diary entry to you, spilling out their emotions. The scratched lines of repeated texts make it feel like the writer's grasping for the right words and sentences that perfectly encapsulate what needs to be said while we're giving attention.
they're freemason peedoughs, see "Pinball Wizard"
That was wonderfully written and very informative about this time, Era. Most importantly, the Who! Well said, I've gotta say, "Great job!!" 👍🏻 I couldn't have said it better if I tried. The Who their music is like no other. They're are so uniquely talented. Never will there be another. 🤩😍😝🤟🏻✌🏻💖
Behind Blue eyes is something that we can associate with and of course when it came out it hit home to many people, the illustrations are fantastic. The album was, and still is an incredible list of iconic songs from my past.
Pete Townsend has a quote that sums up the WHO perfectly, he said we have a lead singer, a lead guitar player, a lead drummer & a lead bass player. Each one of them is a fantastic musician & Townsend wrote incredible lyrics, geniuses all!
Behind blue eyes is a beautiful song.
The genius of Pete Townsend
And Roger Daltry. And Keith Moon. And John Entwistle. It's an alchemical concoction, a magickal working that raised up one of the greatest egregores of all time: THE FUCKIN' WHO.
One of the greatest sad uplifting songs ever made! Never gets old man!
I purchased the Who's Next album when it came out and I was thrilled that every song on both sides were keepers. I have a couple of their factory reel to reel tapes and even so I purchased the albums as well. Yes, you can call me a life long who fan and I'm proud of it.
Wood Guy When did you see them live?
@@thesnesman5235 Many years ago at the Forum in Inglewood Calif. If I had to narrow down the year it was, I'd have to guess 1970 there abouts.
Very smart to do that, so you wouldn't degrade the ''new'' quality of the vinyl records.
Share your Sentiments... From being 'a cast out' and often struggling for acceptance, this Album movitates! Despite some Dark Songs, the Stories tend to encourage #Challenging The System for improving it... This is So Important, particularly if you have #REAL Suggestions to #Improve our Communities!
Wise investment. Great taste in music. Love the sound from reel to reel as well. Almost equal to vinyl. If you have a top of the line machine and buy the good tape, and store properly, they can almost last forever.
one of the most legendary songs in rock history
I had this song stuck in my head for the last last few weeks. I'm glad I found it on KZhead. Awesome.
Get the album you will not believe all the great songs on it. Songs you have heard but didn't realize they were on one album. THE WHO is the greatest rock band ever. Saw them 5 TIME'S the greatest rock band ever

Either a good ripoff of the Stones' series of excellent lyric videos... or the same talented graphics team working for both.

This is the perfect song describing my soon to be ex husband who is Clinically Diagnosed with ASPD born with a brain wired as a psychopath. I was about to celebrate when I filed for divorce 😊 But that’s when his mask came off and he went on a Narcissistic Rampage Terrorizing me daily from then on. Hell Bent on showing me who he REALly is and what he has all this time REALly been capable of. Outrageously frightening with Insidious Reckless Shocking Abuses. He is a Malignant Narcissistic certified Pyschopath Genius that is criminally insane and the dangerous man hellbent on punishing, torturing, and Destroying me for the rest of my life with Absolute No Regard to our children’s safety and well-being. I love this song by The Who! I can relate to this song on so many levels
Amazing song, and amazing graphics! I would love a shirt with this hand-drawn style

I know for sure I'm not the only person who feels like this song was written about them... but I really do feel like that with this one has me at the center. To anyone that feels alone... you are loved.
you are not alone either. This has been what is my song since I was 15 yrs old. I am now 54.
YES! My thoughts exactly. What brought me here to read your comment? Was meant to be I guess. Thank you
Man what a beautiful mix, from the separation of the instruments, with the acoustic guitar panned to the right and bass with vocal harmonies to the left. Such separation uncompressed really fills up the space to create a beautiful stereo image.
Shoutout to all the blue eyed people.
Loving these lyric videos. Graphics are incredible. Be good to credit whoever produced them
I had a "Who greatest hits" cd and I accidentally left it in a rental car. People turn things in to the lost and found all the time... I went back to get it from the lost and found drawer at the rental car company and it wasn't there, no one had turned it in! I guess someone else loved it as much as I did! I Iost one of the best cd's I ever had... 🥺
Aw. I mean I don't blame them, it is a good song 😂 I hope you get a new one
Well that's a damn shame. CDs are extraordinarily expensive after all, and best ofs of classic 60s and 70s bands aren't just clogging up shelves in every single store on the planet 😉
Classic. Love how this song starts off kinda sad but ends up building in triumph.
Amen!!!
The transition is a bit crap, the sad part is so much better tbh.
I wouldn't say triumph, to me it's more like an outburst of rage for not being heard and being continually ignored by society.

Great song and classic album.
Greatest band ever!
Who's Next is such an amazing album, and totally timeless!
"And if I shiver please give me a blanket. Keep me warm let me wear your coat." Had a dear friend that literally did that for me. RIP Gregg.
I never realized how tight the harmonies are in this song
The Who never did harmonies like on BBE.
Omg same
In my honest opinion, This was The Who’s equivalent to Led Zepplin’s “Stairway to Heaven” due to its similar structure and the use of quiet to loud dynamics throughout the song.
This song imo had so much potential to be legendary (already is tbf), but if it was longer it would definitely be held in the same regard as Stairway. Love Reign O'er Me on the other hand is potentially even better than Stairway to Heaven.
BRILLIANT SONG FROM THE GREAT WHO LEGENDS OF ROCK LONG LIVE THE WHO.

My first time listening to this song. There’s so much uniqueness and emotion wrapped in this song.
"No one knows what it's like to be the students to be the pupils behind blue screens."
