  • Keaton and Tucci brought so much to "Spotlight", each in their own way. Their interpretation of their characters dramatically improved what otherwise would have been a great movie anyway. The other amazing thing about "Spotlight" was the incredible casting of the secondary actors, Neal Huff, Billy Crudup, Michael Cyril Creighton, and Paul Guilfoyle particularly. Telling complex stories in movie form is really hard, this team is really good at it.

      @NoahStew@NoahStew2 жыл бұрын
    • @Lightning Forecast Is English not your first language? For clarification my reasoning for the academy not giving Keaton the award is due to the film being produced and distributed by Netflix

      @NoahStew@NoahStew2 жыл бұрын
    • @Lightning Forecast I wasn't insulting you, that was a genius question since you used question marks at the end of each sentence in your first post. You also didn't answer my question but pivot to your second language. So congrats I guess. But Netflix actors don't win Oscars also known as an Academy award, they win Emmy's which are awarded for television not movies

      @NoahStew@NoahStew2 жыл бұрын
    • @Lightning Forecast 1 I'm not grading you, more observing your English is pathetic. 2 I also smoke weed, so congrats. Do you also worry about what happens after you die and how there most likely is no afterlife; so 300 years from now even the memories of us will most likely not have been passed down to our descendants? Cause that's the level of existentialism paranoia I face every other time I smoke. Also is it indica, sativa, or hydrid? 3 I'm 26, so not a kid

    @AboutThatTho@AboutThatTho2 жыл бұрын
    • Yes but only if Keaton has a say in the script. He made an entire feature film alluding to the emotional and professional consequences of being the actor to embody this character in the eyes of an entire generation of fans. In light of that experience and the fact he has shown since then he can credibly play characters in every movie genre this guy deserves a seat at the writers table to discuss how to maturely and meaningfully draw upon the social power of the Batman media phenomena.

  • I watched it for Keaton and Tucci (it's "out there" already). The big I guess climax of the film is Keaton doing what they should have basically done from the start. But anyone worried they paint the politics of the fund pink, they don't. They make it clear very early on that all they want is to pay people for a signature on a paper that denies them the possibility of suing.
