I might be able to use the proximity sensor to help detect when I get packages delivered that fit on a shelf outside. I saw your comment below about monetization. I hope all is working out OK.

  • 1st "project" is 4 Esaki oscillators. The transistor is reversed biased. If you use a diode you won't stress out the transistor. #2 Astable multi vibrator. #6 Same as #2 just different look. #7 same as #6 and #2 just a different look and no need for 2 resistors because the extra LEDs compensate.

  • Amitabha from Kolkata, Sir, what can I say to you of your terrific experiment . . . being a non electronic person, I don't know how to appreciate your different ways of testing. Sir, could you please, share me, how can I blinking two 5 mm led bulbs alternatively in a very easy process. I don't have any electronic components with me. So please, guide with minimum things order, because I not able to use those in future, without your help. The unit could be operated with (AC) 220 volt or (DC) 12 watts. Reason, I want to put that led bulbs in front of my entrance door ( to avoid any unwanted person) 😄 Waiting for your reply eagerly.

  • For those in the USA the 2N2222 is an equivalent transistor to the BC547 ( European). Wish there were titles if the circuit before each build and LED descriptions. Circuits are okay but nothing that spectacular.

    @aramboodakian9554@aramboodakian95546 ай бұрын
    • There are no european or american models, the 2n2222 is completely different from the bc547, but you can can use basically any npn transistor for these circuits.

      @indian.techsupport@indian.techsupport6 ай бұрын
    • You are right that they are not the exact same part. I should have used the words “good substitute” My point is that the designation “BC” is the European standard and “2N” designation is from the US standard : Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) The JEDEC part numbering scheme evolved in the 1960s in the United States. The JEDEC EIA-370 transistor device numbers usually start with 2N, indicating a three-terminal device. Dual-gate field-effect transistors are four-terminal devices, and begin with 3N. The prefix is followed by a two-, three- or four-digit number with no significance as to device properties, although early devices with low numbers tend to be germanium devices. For example, 2N3055 is a silicon n-p-n power transistor, 2N1301 is a p-n-p germanium switching transistor. A letter suffix, such as "A", is sometimes used to indicate a newer variant, but rarely gain groupings. JEDEC prefix table Prefix Type and usage 1N two-terminal device, such as diodes 2N three-terminal device, such as transistors or single-gate field-effect transistors 3N four-terminal device, such as dual-gate field-effect transistors. European Electronic Component Manufacturers Association (EECA) The European Electronic Component Manufacturers Association (EECA) uses a numbering scheme that was inherited from Pro Electron when it merged with EECA in 1983. This scheme begins with two letters: the first gives the semiconductor type (A for germanium, B for silicon, and C for materials like GaAs); the second letter denotes the intended use (A for diode, C for general-purpose transistor, etc.). A three-digit sequence number (or one letter and two digits, for industrial types) follows. With early devices this indicated the case type. Suffixes may be used, with a letter (e.g. "C" often means high hFE, such as in: BC549C[97]) or other codes may follow to show gain (e.g. BC327-25) or voltage rating (e.g. BUK854-800A[98]).

  • Good morning teacher... how to build a circuit, for motor vehicles, input voltage 12V. Following electronic scheme: 5 LEDs will be used which, when powered, will light up alternately, one at a time, they will never light up all at once, that is, two, three, etc... and there will be a 6 Led that will remain on, with the circuit energized, constantly, while LEDs 1 to 5 remain off. When turning on any LED from 1 to 5, LED 6 must go out. How to build a circuit with this format?

    @KarikhSergey@KarikhSergey6 ай бұрын
    • In this case thetransistor is only used to switch the led and the current is limited by a resistor, therefore tjis curcuit is safe, if the led would actually receive 100mA it would be instantly dead.

      @indian.techsupport@indian.techsupport6 ай бұрын
    • @@indian.techsupport Не правда, судя по вашей схеме, у Вас один резистор является резистором базы, а второй подтягивает Базу на землю через геркон, тем самым закрывая его. Каким из этих резисторов вы ограничиваете ток коллектор-эмиттер? ))) Резистора в цепи коллектора у вас там нет. Следовательно всё гасится на транзисторе. И светодиод может выдержать ток в 100мА но очень не долго.

  • That’s the trouble with sharing ideas like these on KZhead so many bad and unsound principles or lack of them are shared. Ok it’s good for people to learn but take the first example it’s full of unsound ideas… I personally hate seeing LEDs wired in parallel without an individual current limiter resistor because no two leds have the same characteristics and one will inevitable conduct more than the other. Ok I get the use of an open base here to get that random effect of flashing but I wouldn’t use it much anywhere else… too unpredictable…. But hey what do I know … only about 40 years in the trade and then another 10 as a hobbyist before that

    @buffplums@buffplums6 ай бұрын
    • I think the first project, unconnected base, is referred to as the reverse avalanche effect and only a minority of transistors will exhibit the effect and, as you say, it's undependable. Also, it usually only works at about 18-24 volts supply. I really liked the last project: it would be possible to build a chaser light display with that one. I thought the only circuit that would do this was using a 4017. The chaser would only work with three stages, works well on my solder less breadboard and has possibilities. Great upload, thank you to this uploader! 🙂

  • We see examples of really bad design - in some cases there are no current limiting resistors for the LEDs and some of the examples will burn the LEDs sooner or later, the voltage of the power supply will be critical for this. #3 is powered by the strange 4 volts, for example, and going higher will be dangerous. #4 is bad also.

  • BC546 is way better...

    @BurkenProductions@BurkenProductions6 ай бұрын
    • You should take a look at the BC546 data sheet... The only difference is that the volts go up to 65 instead of 30 (548) or 45 (547). Does the term shooting sparrows with cannons mean anything to you? Of course it doesn't matter whether you use the 6, 7 or 8 for small (up to) 12V applications. It's all the same from the point of view. It's not without reason that they're summarized in one data sheet...
