This is great! When I was much younger and back in the day, (way back) I used to troubleshoot CRT's, stereos, radios, etc., then moved to PC's especially the old 286 CPU, MS DOS machines. The most fun I used to have was repairing many of the "suite case" PC's (Compac's). I never got tired of watching what I repaired start up and run. I remember my old soldering lessons and always got a kick out of LEDs, even made gadgets with blinking Leds inside of a composite plastic case, stuck an antenna on it as a fake security device. Moved on to listening circuits (9-volt battery powered), got into antenna tech, etc. Electronics are a great hobby.
Дурдом!!!
Quem vai pagar o meu tempo e esse comentário?
Not knowing a lot about simple electronics, I find these small builds fun to watch..
It's a good way to learn about electronics by watching these small builds, though it's a little more helpful with narration of what and why they're doing things...
Was taught 60 years ago to make sure a joint is mechanical bound before soldering. This person makes his method look easy. My old hands are no longer steady enough to attempt such soldering. Still have my 100/140 Watt Weller soldering gun and two pencil soldering irons.
it looks easy .. but only a couple of Joints are solderd .. the rest is only "hot glued" !!
I have a Weller 8200 that's about 55 years old. I still use it on a regular basis. But, the lamp bulb burned out. Dang!
Why? Blinky winky could be good for making sci phi movies.
I still have my 100/200 watt Weller soldering iron! Old tube radios and TVs, had to had own with enough watts to solder on the steel frame! Pencils where replaced every 6 months!
I miss the days when there were stores around where you could go in and buy parts like this in the ones and fives quantities.
The "high street" company where I used to do this - about 200m from where I now live - went bust 6 or 7 years ago. Not enough custom or customers. Sad.
all on ebay now
In Australia, we had "Dick Smiths" he was an engineer who got really rich and gave back to the community. Could get every part you would need. 👍
I went to Radio Shack, back when it was all about these parts and a free flashlight or free battery each month ... LM3909 is the unforgettable integrated circuit I adored
Check out Micro Center. They only have 26 locations in the US, but if you live near one you may want to stop in. The one near me made Radio Shack look like...a shack.
We used to build TUBE circuits like this on a desk in High School ! Oh the high voltage shock!
at 3:52 it says "220uH", which would be an inductor, but it's a 220uF, a capacitor.
Sorry, but to produce a multivibrator its not necessary to use two optocouplers. 2x NPN-Transistors, also the LEDs u used and some resistors with 2x Caps do the same job. And the unit Caps do use is not H (Henry) but F (Farad, µF)... But perfect bendings and also soldering is really good. You use a really good soldering tin.
Ага двы штук 3107 и 3102. Для м в вполне хорошо.
Could use a BC 547 or a 555 Timer, lot less parts. Good Bends, Good Soldering.
Thank you for sharing this very useful clip. You are skillful, beautiful pictures. Sorry, there is no circuit diagram
oh man ... I miss the days when I would spend hours troubleshooting and repairing. I still find myself opening up discarded electronics and collecting components. I know its a sickness. Love this I will be looking for more

Muy buena la idea, Saludos desde Valencia-Venezuela...
I enjoyed watching this (at the normal viewing speed) remarkable demonstration on how to solder LEDs in sequence to obtain a strobing light effect. And besides there is a lot of soldering and the correct diods and what have to put in place. I am no electrician, so i need all the help to achieve what you have demonstrated in this. I am sure there are people like me interested in how you achieveed this.
Stil got it!!! as soon as I saw you were making a pump circuit I knew what it was going to do!!! Awesome movie set flashy light console thing! Christmas lights, attention getters on a sign, etc.
F'me, the most interesting aspect is that the frequency of each 'half' is slightly different, meaning the pairs of double-LEDs will slowly go in and out of phase... 😊
Interesting use of optocouplers to make a flip-flop - thanks!
The best part of this video Is the skillful soldering. Otherwise the blinking circuits by themselves are fairly boring.
Soldering was not great either.
Magnífico ❤❤❤❤
Very steady hands!!!
Work good as a flasher catch somebody's attention be good for your own personal use, plus the exercise of putting things together to see how things work especially if you started out with a just breadboard and to make and build your own skill level. Good job I got some yellow lenses that would be a easy Mount to fit it in.
que utilidade tem esse projeto
Zafer works all the time thinking up new simple ideas to keep us hooked on his KZhead channel! Great job!
Thanks for the video. Nice work! 👍
Hello, Great video thanks for making it. Just found your channel and subscribed to it as I think it is great.
The 12VDC supply was unnecessary for a drive voltage, tell tale by the green LEDs illuminating in a yellow-to-red color spread., symbolizing that they were being overdriven to their breakdown voltage and would eventually fail due to said breakdown if not dying to thermal breakdown instead. Something along the lines of 6 to 9 VDC would've sufficed. I've blown up enough LEDs due to voltage overdrive to know that the colors changing to something they weren't made to be is the sign that they are dying and quickly.
Ну, очень красиво!
Gostei muito qual voltagem🤗🇧🇷

Super! Thank you very much! Great idea!
Thank you for showing us your interesting circuit. On a different note, I believe you are using flux in this production. Could you tell me the flux you are using? I'm curious as to what kind of flux to use to achieve such beautiful soldering. I'm sorry if it's difficult to read because I changed it from Japanese to English using Google Translate.
Probably lead solder with Flux core.
Look for a flux for electronics applications. One brand is Kester. It comes as a paste in a small can or as a liquid. Get the paste. Note: do not use an acid flux; it will corrode.
@@PinePondCTDevilsHopyard-fy3hj Extremely hard to get lead solder these-decades. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Regulations killed it in the early 2000s. Since Brexit, Britain has had the OPTION to revoke these laws ... but lead remains very toxic, and even if we did revoke the laws, nobody would dare to face the liability issues of using it. Electrical solder is a range of tin-bismuth-cadmium alloys these days. None of which are nice chemicals, but none are as bad as lead.
No, I've never seen this before. Probably because it's completely pointless.
It's a signal light
Blinking lights. Wow...never saw that before
That's blinking amazing.
'tis nearly 40 years since I enjoyed mucking about with these things... and for me, it was to put a flashing light on a boomerang so I could do a time lapse photo at night to analyse the flight... Maybe an NE556 dual timer would've done it simpler with a smaller parts count? ... but it would likely be more $$$.... YMMV...
@ZAFERYILDIZ52 Nice Job, and thanks for sharing. For Blue LEDs instead of the Yellow LEDs, could you please advise about resistors values ?
ha ha haaa ..... You would probably like that. It's quite simple: R = U x I So: U = source voltage minus breakdown voltage I is Imax CE of the optocoupler. 😇👍
