VAR is the problem. You literally can’t celebrate a goal anymore. It is an absolute cancer to football and destroys the experience for fans
@@Tone-iw7ft it has robbed the game of its best thing, which is a real shame. Unless it improves so drastically that decisions are made within 5 seconds, which isn't impossible by the way, this will always be the case.

I think the VAR officials "in the office" should be limited to offsides, and then just give the ref a tablet and get them to just send him the clips when necessary, or inform him that it's a corner instead of a goal kick, or a throw-in going the other way, etc. Because it is a mess at the moment, when decisions aren't "wrong enough" for VAR to intervene, or the way they can't interfere on yellow cards, corners, and throw-ins..

We’ve got a poundstretcher version up here in Scotland. There’s about 3 cameras and we’ve got officials who can’t draw straight lines to see if someone’s offside. Brutal.

There’s still many bad VAR decisions but I don’t understand how anyone thinks it’s worse than what we had before when there were so many objectively wrong calls cause the refs didn’t see something happening. I’d the VAR perfect? No, but it’s much better than no VAR.
