Honestly doesn't Assetto Corsa possess a lot of ripped tracks from other games. Ripped cars and tracks from Forza Motorsport, iRacing, RFactor2 and so on.
@@kak8895 how can you rip cars from other games? Just cause it's the same cars or because Forza motorsport 7 has spa and assetto Corsa has spa doesn't mean it's ripped. And also in this video you can literally see the the company who made the track for assetto Corsa in beam ng
@@princemicah8846 No shit! I see the Kunos signboard bold and clear. I know it's from Assetto. If you think Modders don't strip cars from other games you're a clown with no clue about 3d modeling. They literally extract those files because they are scanned with accurate geometry than you'd get if you modeled it yourself. I play Assetto Corsa and I see those modded cars and can tell immediately where it was taken from because I have history with those games. Not everyone is a fool. Modders should be happy that studios like Turn10, Studio 397 or iRacing Motorsport Simulations haven't found a way to sue their sorry ass.
Man, imagine if beam started throwing real money at becoming a true racing simulator. Great to see their soft body physics finally coming to real tracks, where it belongs.
Lots of people tell this story, but it doesn't make sense. Real Simmers won't enjoy impressive crash physics, they just leave the session.
Soft body is not all about crashing. It's also about simulating the constitution and tensile properties of the vehicle - on a per-component basis - and creating a sense of chassis flex and dynamism in the driving that's completely unrivaled.
@@b.s.7693 I think the point being made is that, in some ways, the driving dynamics of beamng are better than our racing sims. The feeling of tyre flex and suspension and chassis movement is exceptional.
@@Ermz Basically youre right. But I am very skeptical if implementing BeamNG's expensive calculations make the difference when we only talking about the flex of a car chassis, especially for very rigid racing cars. For the most part, simple models can approx that sufficient and other sims already do so. Good tire are way more important at this point.

To realise this game is made by such a small team and it just keeps getting updates. This truly is my favorite game ever

It is pretty cool that you could lap the Ring in the morning, drive to Spa have lunch and lap Spa in the afternoon, and then go back to the Ring for the evening and a dinner at Pistenklause.
I'd try to sneak in a cheeky lunch in Belgium, in the hopes their food is better than Germany's.
If you want *THE* fastest Hillclimb car in BeamNG, take one of the two pre-existing SBR4 hillclimb variants, give it the best engine upgrades (stage 3 turbo, stage 2 longblock etc.), raise the turbo boost & rev limiter to maximum & then enjoy the glorious *900hp at 8500RPM*
I love driving the DCT version of the SBR4 Hillclimb, it's biblically quick! 😎
If you want it faster then you should remove the exhaust and put 200kw nitro boost there.
Same with the Sunburst

Spa and the Nordschleife are probably a bit too open for it, but you need to try the race version of the Piccolina for something.
Norschleife should actually be awesome for the piccolina to race on

Ive played beamng since 0.04 and im still playing it to this day, that game never ceases to impress me. Its my favorite game about cars, its simply so realistic, theres even an oil gravity and torsional flex simulation
Considering no one online can drive it, Bathurst would be a match made in heaven for soft body physics
I think the Bolide needs a custom tune to actually be drivable. It can be done, but most of the default setups in Beam are far from perfect. I read on the forum a while ago that they're basically set up to work with controllers since most people don't have wheels. Alternatively, they probably also still have the same setups from 2 or 3 tire models ago.
The cars feel pretty decent on controller so I don't doubt they were made for one.
nah man custom tune aside he is way too aggressive on the throttle and late on breaking. oversteering in the corners are combined result of overspeed and poor throttle input. his throttle input his always on off 0 or 100 percent upsetting the balance of the car, where as he should be increasing the throttle smoothly as he exit corners. my guess is he is too used to gt cars from other racing sims that offers much more grip with traction control.

I've made decal roads for Spa, LeMans, Bathurst, Lakeside so I can run AI Script races. But for the life of me I can't get the decal road for Brands Hatch to attach to the track.
There's also the lovely Road Atlanta, Instanbul Park, Dunsfold Aerodrome, paved and unpaved Pikes Peak, the Ebisu East track famous from Best Motoring, plus Suzuka, Indianapolis and and Laguna Seca with some minor ground material issues, and numerous real world ovals! There's also lots of real world drift circuits and touge courses as well

No way! I have so many hours on this track in Assetto Corsa! This game is getting so good, and the Physics while driving is so different than racing games. Still love Assetto but the Crash physics add that scare factor to racing in Beam. It makes you actually not want to crash! Great! thanks for showing this!

Was a pure joy to watch for a sim lover, BeamNG was really made to be the best racing simulator. No assistances or playing around, just clear physics.
Funny considering that Beam simulates assists like tc and abs REALLY well.
Next time be sure to give ETK-K Trackday version a try. By far one of the best handling cars IMH. Pure pleasure to drive it on SPA or Nurburgring ;)

I bought BeamNg a few days ago, and I am very very impressed. The Driving physics are the closest to realism you can find. I really like the clutch physics on this game, much better than it’s competitors.

Beamng is the best racing simulator. The risk factor makes it so hugely exciting. You really have to get it perfect and its so rewarding when you do. What i also like is the risk you have of the damage that you dont have with other games. Miss shift? Damage that gear, hit a curb wrong? Alignment might get off, etc. the details in the damage model makes it such a risky game to play and its fantastic as a racing sim. Now imagine this with a field of 20 cars.
BEAM can legit take over the world of sim racing if they really put all their resources into it. Release it on the latest generation of consoles and they'll be a genuine threat to the mainstream titles.
and than? you think mods like this are gonna make it on to console? of course not.

I think they should release a second, racing focused game based on the same engine. With simplified collision physics so they can have licensed cars and more scripting to make it an actual racing game. Call it BeamNG.GT or something

@@xavierrodriguez2463 The collision physics and driving physics are one and the same, as both depend on the same system (beams and nodes, hence the name). You may be able to do it, but that would probably reduce the quality of the driving.

I am waiting with baited breath for this game to get actual motorsports licenses and a proper career mode. Bought this game almost 10 years ago and have been following it since. Really amazed at what they've accomplished and continue to accomplish.
My first race at Spa was in 1999 playing the Psygnosis PS1 Formula 1 game from 1995 for the 1993 season. Been racing here virtually for over 20 years. BTW, you forgot include LeMans for the most beloved tracks.
I wouldnt mind Beam not having race oriented AI but at least make multiplayer official so we can have proper races

For Bolide setup you need to change to wider wheel on the back to eliminate over steer also use bigger wing

I recommend using the correct fov it will make judging distances a lot easier

I played the AMS2 demo (to see if it had gotten any better after refunding it last year) and then played BeamNG straight after. It is infinitely a better behaving sim and much more realistic. Would be nice for it to have some official racing and tracks

PBR update happened a few days ago.
There is an f1 mod for beam called the FR17 and it has surprisingly great handling and downforce, it's cornering abilities outmatch any car i've thrown around a track in beamng. would love to see a video of someone with a sim setup try it out. I can get it down under 8 minutes at the nurburgring with my frail little controller so i'm sure it could dip down under the 7s and maybe even 6s.

No, tyre heat is not yet simulated in beamng. everything else yes, but tyre heat and tyre wear not yet.
@@ariton2990 ahh yes i did check after and i was like oops. it is strange that pressure is but not temp i was thinking of the brakes. you can pre heat race tyres in the menu and got my wires crossed. thank you for the correction
I wish KTM would make a BeamNG mod for the Xbow GT4 like they did for AC. A real, proper full 3d car model with realistic values, then you could actively compare it to AC and others.

I’m loving these tracks but when are we gonna be seeing some GT3-4 cars? I know it’d take forever like these tracks but it’s a shame not being able to race those on these amazing tracks in this amazing sim
You might be able to make one in Automation and import it, but BeamNG tends to focus on street cars and their modified race versions, rather than purpose built race cars

for VR you need real good graphics and detailed models for car interiors, because you can look very close to objects and textures. BeamNG is far away from that. You will not get the immersion you expect. Only games like ACC or Project Cars 2 do a good job in VR. Even RaceRoom is not that immersive (but very good in physics and FFB).

@@Neumannen What is your experience in VR? BeamNG doesn't even have a driver in the cockpit. This gives a weird feeling in VR along with many other drawbacks. They a ton of work to do to stack up with other sims.
