Bing Crosby and Perry Como were two of the greatest ever crooners. Their passing left a void in the world of musical entertainment. But they were lucky that in their day there were lots of great songwriters with great songs for them to sing. Great songs which we have allowed to drift into oblivion and replaced with primitive sounds masqueraded as music. Great songs are like great paintings, if you do not preserve them, you lose them - forever.

I like both these dudes. But side-by-side, I'm hearing Como interject his incomparable style. Bing was far bigger, but I think I prefer the pipes of Perry Como. So smooth.
