They are what will ensure that years from now you remember the time you remodeled your bathroom. It’s the imperfections and mistakes that leave a lasting imprint on our memories.
Kylie, I made the mistake of not fixing up a rental once, and ended up there five years!!! You are so right that we only have NOW. The transformation of your bath is enthralling. Guido has a great personality, and you two seem to click like two puzzle pieces. It's true that many men act like they deserve a medal for just doing what needs to be done. Glad you found the opposite type, because they exist too.

As an architect, I can totally relate to the talk at 11:35, but also as a creative and sentimental person, I can tell you that you are totally right- life is now and making it beautiful wherever you are, just makes life more worth living. The bathroom is simply magical, and as huge fan of DIY projects, I can say that this one is definitely a labor of love.
Sometimes when you are temporarily staying in a space not your own....Just buying a basket and filling it with some luxury items you like...is enough for a short while to make your stay more comfortable.
Absolutely beautiful. You and Guido have weathered two of life’s biggest challenges- remodeling a kitchen and a bathroom. Life is in the present- so if you want to be beautiful- wake up and be beautiful. Don’t ever wait to be beautiful or kind or generous. I loved all your choices and your attention to authenticity and detail. The same with your kitchen. You have taken the two rooms that can’t be avoided and made them into refuges that can take us to another place in time without so much heartache.

I have to say bravo on a beautiful job! I was awaken at 430am ny time by my little girls love watching your videos. Now!...I'm 49 yrs old and have to say I was a little mommas boy but growing up with siclian parents my dad put me to work at a young age!! My parents have been up my ass to never rest on your laurels!! There are a lot of mommas boys out there but I'm 1 of a million that does it all. Kyle you have a good man!! when you say your a team. She has the hand of angels where everything she touches turns into pure beauty (food, decorating etc). My family and I are going to Italy to visit holy sites this coming summer. I love seeing their villa, and the wonderful Tuscany landscape. It reminds me of the beautiful dream in the movie the “Gladiator”, where he sees his family in the field close to his home.

She would find things that nobody wanted and had discarded, sand them down, and restore them to their beauty. She has passed away and I miss her so much. You and Guido make a lovely couple.

I think the error with the paint was serendipity. I love the dark blue floor - it grounds the space and makes it feel very cozy and sets off the white and blue of the walls. I think the white floor would have been too much white. And the room is gorgeous. Great job!
I love the transformation, Kylie. It's easy to get the impression from your channel that everything in Italy is drenched in an old-world charm where everything has character and beauty. Then you show us a shot of the bathroom before the remodel, and it becomes apparent that modern Italy has been infected with the same modern sterile products that I see here in the US. I know this space is just a small part of a larger whole, but by returning character to the space, it's like your restored a small piece of the building's soul. That must feel so good. Congratulations.

This was an amazing transformation! It all came together so beautifully and looks so inviting. One thing - careful with the candles on the middle shelf that the heat is not too much for the wooden shelf. This blazer is not one of my designs and unfortunately things have been held up with Bottega Flavell due to various challenges but you’re so lovely to ask! 😘😘😘
Oh Kylie I love your videos so much. You remind me of me when I was young so much, even others have commented.It's very surreal for me to watch. I also found myself living in Italy for years,( long time ago) and falling in love, but instead of filming I was living from photography. I felt like I was living in a Fellini film sometimes, the incredible highs and the devastating lows. Then evenetually I also found myself living in a farmhouse, and making it a cosy home while he was at work everyday.. It was magical...Until it was not. And all those years and years of work on the house, and on him, and the garden , well some other woman is now enjoying the fruits of my labour. I just hope you are protected, financially and with your heart. But especially financially. Just be smart. I was once so happy and loved with every fibre of my being, that I attracted the worst in men. I had my heart broken so much, and lost so many babies, that I developed an illness. I am now prematurely grey, I look like an old woman, I can't leave my bedroom from pain, and I am slowly dying unfortunatelly . I cant even take photos anymore or even create. I wouldn't trade my life in Italy for anything...But I wish I had someone older and wiser to tell me to be vigilant. And to take care of me first before him or anyone else. You have the same fire inside of you that I had, and if you don't take care of it, it will go out, never to return. I want you to live with this passion and dont ever let anyone distinguish it. Guard it. Thank you for your amazing videos, they take me back to the happiest time in my life !
At first I was skeptical of doing stencils over all the white but now....wow! It was a great choice. I think there is a fine balance between men who help and let their lady do what she wishes, whatever that balance is to you is what matters. Some people want a hand the entire time, others want to be left alone, and then theres those in the middle. So you do what works for you and your relationship
