In 30 years at the forefront, Evander Holyfield forever engraved his name among the greatest figures in the history of the ring. This is the journey of a man who battled during the uncompromising era of boxing, from the early steps to the status of a living legend in the realm of fisticuffs.

  • We had to reupload the video because the previous one got blocked by KZhead due to the presence of scenes with blood. Sorry if you saw it, but this one has been our favourite yet and we want to keep it rolling.

    • Shame on KZhead for outlawing blood in combat sports videos. Everyone in that ring is bleeding because they chose to be there. Nobody is fatally injured. It's just blood. Terms of service are getting more and more ridiculous by the day. Anyway, thanks for daring to reupload, might just watch the entire video once more 😍

    • 100%. My favorite of all time, and underrated still, as one of the greatest all-time pound for pound fighters. I haven't done the math, but I'd bet that nobody fought more championship fights at heavyweight, vs. future hall of famers, at a greater weight disparity, and was completely untouchable at cruiserweight.

    • @@FeezFBaby Well I guess that shouldn't really matter, b/c what one does at heavyweight isn't really indicative of how good a cruiserweight they are. Even though Holyfield is my favorite fighter of all time, I am undecided as to who is the greatest cruiserweight of all time, as Holyfield basically put the division on the map, and Usyk brought it back. As far as heavyweight goes though, there's no comparison, even if Usyk does beat Fury, b/c aside from beating Joshua 2x, (which of course is a great accomplishment and made him unified heavyweight champ), his resume at heavyweight is thin, with only Dubois, Chisora (I thought he barely won that fight, if that, maybe even a draw) and then Joshua whereas Holyfield beat at least 5 hall of famers at heavyweight and ran things for a decade.

  • What's crazy about Holyfield's bronze medal from the olympics is that his bronze medal is probably worth more money than any boxers gold medal because of the story behind it, and because of Holyfield's great professional career. I would rather own his bronze medal as a collector of boxing memorabilia than almost anything else. It holds a crazy amount of significance because of the man that won it, and went on to dominate the professional boxing landscape just like he did in the amatuer ranks.

  • I had the great privilege of watching Evander’s entire career, and all the greats of the time, with my wife and best friend, Kelly. We have now been married 36 years, with two incredible children, and soon to be 4 Grand babies! Kelly and I have shared so many great memories, and many have been Sports related. From Sid Breams impossible game winning score for the Braves (with us both literally jumping up and down on the bed), to Tyson’s rise to greatness (starting on Tuesday Night Fights with Sean O’Grady & Al Bernstein), to Michael Phelps, Keri Scruggs, & hundreds of others historical Olympic moments, the Minnesota Miracle, to the Gamecock’s incredible College World series wins, to my Georgia Bulldogs Back to Back National Championships…we have had an incredible Sports history. While she is a SC Gamecock diehard, she fully supports my Dawgs. In turn, I fully support her Gamecocks, except when they play my Dawgs. My daughter and her husband, who have a 3-1/2yr old son, are due 10/26 with a little girl. While my son and his wife, who have a 2-1/2yr old daughter, are due on 10/31 with a little boy…we have been blessed. I’m so lucky to have a wife who loves Sports so much. Even today, we set-up 3 TVs (actually 1 big TV, a smaller “bed” TV, & my iPad) to watch College football on Saturdays. From GameDay until the last west coast game is finished, only if it is interesting and we can stay awake. PS. Sorry to ramble and give you my life story, but watching this documentary on Evander just brought back so many memories I thought I would take the time to put my viewpoint into perspective.
