  • Our video about Roberto Duran: kzhead.info/sun/ZtBwj9iNj5Soias/bejne.html And Thomas Hearns: kzhead.info/sun/nNuGo8mbaqmsqZE/bejne.html In the 80s, a remarkable rivalry unfolded in the world of boxing when four outstanding champions in adjacent weight classes competed to determine the best, engaging in nine bouts among themselves. This period is now referred to as the era of the "Four Kings."

  • Sugar Ray Leonard's speed and accuracy were legendary, but his footwork and ability to string together long, varied combinations were a thing of beauty. Fastest hands barring probably Roy Jones , footwork, power, boxing skills and the brains. And above all always had that heart and guts to dig deep. A rare quality for someone so skilled.

    • Ray had a slightly better blend of speed and accuracy with deceptively great power, but not quite Roy’s level of power. Jones had a slightly better blend of speed and power but was still very accurate, just not as accurate as Ray. Ray was faster than Roy Jones, and more accurate. Jones had a better blend of speed and power.

I didn't want to see him fight those monsters. People like Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler, and the Panamanian Devil, in my mind growing up, were true monsters, and I thought Sugar Ray should never have anything to do with them. But he never backed down from any of them. That was truly amazing for me, to watch him go into the ring and not only survived but also flourished and became the winner.
