Do not throw away watermelon rind! Try this recipe for some delicious, sweet and spicy pickled watermelon rind.
Pickled watermelon rind tastes great and they are a tasty addition to different salads and can also be turned into a relish or chutney and served with anything you want to add a touch of acidity and sweetness. #watermelon #pickle
Ingredients:
4-5 cups of cubed watermelon rind
1 1/2 cups of water
1 cup of rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup of sugar
4 teaspoons of salt
6-8 cloves
1 stick of cinnamon
1 inch piece of ginger
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

  • Too many flavors and you never want to boil something so soft after you peel it so don't peel it or don't boil it you don't boil that it'll become too soft you want to boil your liquid like pickling and then pour it over your product..
