Any recommendations for good/comfy/affordable clothes to get for work? I’m starting a new job in 2 weeks at a personal injury law firm as a legal assistant/ case manager and I’m just a freshman in college so I’m kinda nervous so I could use advice on that too please! 😬
Do you think you can do a video/tips on how to get into a law firm as an undergrad not to take on a specific role but maybe as an assistant or paralegal?

hi, i am a legal assistant with no degree in law nor do i have any courses on my resume for the law firm i work for which specializes in criminal, personal injury, domestic, bankruptcy, and estate law. please mention on your resume how detail oriented you are, your work experience in an office or similar environment and being able to multi task and especially mention if you are tech savvy with a knowledge of microsoft word, otherwise, look around for law firms who are always hiring because you can at least gain experience being a receptionist. it is really all about your attitude, your confidence, and the ability to execute your tasks. good luck, i hope you can get as lucky as i did!

I'm an undergrad working at my county's DA office. The internship isn't paid, which is fine but financially stressful. I have a job ok the side but since I'm an intern I don't get good hours and I'm broke. I love the DA Though, I want to do criminal so it right up my alley. Anyways, and advice on paid internships?
Rebecca Lame I’m Australian but that’s criminal prosecutions right? My advice is to just stick it out and work hard- I did unpaid work with crim prosecutions for a month and was eventually offered a real job when one opened up :)
Its really hard to find a paid internship as a 1L but usually 2L internships will be paid (from what I've heard). Most government internships will be unpaid no matter what grade you are. So its all about searching and having a good resume.
