As a Registered Dietitian (in about a month lol) your salad combo makes me so happy! It’s filling because it’s packed with protein from the chicken, nuts/seeds, eggs; carbs from the dried cranberries and honey mustard, fat in the dressing and egg yolk, and fiber from edamame and veggies! And don’t let anyone come for you for the honey mustard, because the fat in that helps you absorb the fat soluble vitamins in the vegetables 😅

Your comment about GG takes on “Fancy” Mom at daycare; I was that Mom, but I worked at a law firm and had to get up and get ready earlier so we could ALL get out of the house on time. I always wanted to be the Mom you described yourself as, but I did not have the luxury of working from home 30 years ago. It sounded like you were a bit hurt about GG’s comment and I wanted to tell you that GG will not remember saying that, she is 5/6 so please don’t even think about it. Mom’s who work outside the home are doing what they have to, just like you! You are setting examples for your girls that are invaluable, so please give yourself grace and remember that!

I resented my mom when I was young because she was not a SAHM, but in my 20s, I'm 36 now, I realized how hard she worked to create a life for me and how much she influenced me. I am so proud of her. It's partly because of my mom that I went back to school and got a masters degree and it's the reason I wouldn't give up until I got my dream job working for the federal government. Working moms are an inspiration, in any outfit.

I would stick with the black dress and dont even bother looking! I love just simple black with like a bolder, long gold earring or something. Its classy and versatile and especially since youre traveling, it doesnt look like itll take up too much room. Youll definitely be able to get use out of it again too! I agree...no to velvet for a summer wedding!

I used to *have to be ready* when I went anywhere (even the dang mailbox) because I lacked the confidence to go barefaced. It’s something that I’m working on as I get older, to be more comfortable in my skin. As weird as it may sound, I’m envious of women who don’t feel they need to be “fancy” to go and do what they need to do. ❤

Hi Jess! love all your different forms of content! I think it’s important that you don’t feel burnt out or like you HAVE to do a particular style of video, I will pretty much watch anything you put out! I especially love when you share details of your clothing, makeup routine, and recipes :)
I started wearing makeup to work everyday about 1-2 years ago (I'm in my 40s). I get up at 4:45, get showered, dressed, and morning skincare before waking the kids. Once they are off to the bus I have another hour for face and hair. If my 5yrs ago self heard that she would have laughed in my face. But, my youngest is 8, so a little more independent. I used to be 10+ hours of sleep a night where now I typically sleep 5-6 and feel great. It's weird how things change...
Cooking and book chats are instant watches for me

I also like it when you’re out and about, it’s always cool to see what kind of places you like to shop in, - especially because I don’t live in the US, it’s just fun to see what kind of stores, foos places etc that you like to go to. ❤😊

The teal would flatter your coloring & look stunning with Mr. Tyler matching it in accessories like a tie & pocket square orhandkerchief. Jessica, Portuguese girly here 🙋🏻♀ usually European weddings, even the most casual and regular ones, are pretty formal and people dress up a lot, wearing real party clothes. So if you're going to a Black Tie one, don't be afraid to go all out and choose a more formal or "out there dress", or really accessorize a more simple one. Enjoy your trip 🥰

My niece just did her screening, and you're excatly right. They take them in a room and have them do work to test their knowledge. They do that so they know what classroom to place the child in. Essentially, they place the kids based on their knowledge.

The first black dress is gorgeous. It's simple but elegant. I love it.
I went to a wedding in Greece last year and I would say make sure you have access to a steamer there or can buy one. Pretty sure you can’t bring a steamer from the U.S. bc it requires high wattage and won’t work well or may break even with an adapter or converter. Not sure if I totally explained that right but my dad’s an electrical engineer and told us not to bring one. Hope you have a fab time, love the black dress!
One of my very favorite "fast" make up products is the Tarte Blush Tape Liquid blush. It has a super pretty glow, is fresh looking, and can be used on the eye lid too for a fast color. I use this stuff obsessively(tap it on with my finger) on my 5 minute make up days, usually weekends. A tinted moisturizer, the Tarte liquid blush on cheeks and eye lid, and a bit of mascara and lip gloss.

Hi Jess, I really enjoy your Vlogs, A lot of variety in topics, interesting, informative. Keep them coming! I love the black dress, simply elegant, easy travel and many options for accessories. A cute lite weight sheer type little shrug or wrap would look nice with it as well if ceremony is in A church and some coverage is required or if outdoors at night reception. I also like the one with the top scrunchie detailing. You will look beautiful in any of them though. I am going to read the Lisa Jewel book, looks interesting. I love your book chats! I don’t currently have a book club, so it’s nice to get opinions and suggestions from you. For my 5 min makeup, I do sunscreen, because of course (and use that as my moisturizer), stick foundation, concealer or color corrector or both depending on how broken out I am, a medium dark eyeshadow stick or cream just blended on top of the hood of my eye, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. If I want to be really fast I use my sweet grandma’s trick of using lipstick also as blush. She’d apply it on her lips, then tap her fingers between lips and cheek, and laugh and say, “that’s my beauty secret”. Bless her heart, even at her nursing home in her 90s, she wanted to look nice. But one time her vision and cognition had dimmed, and she was putting on her brows with the pencil upside down in her hand. 🥺❤️ Tryin’ to be fancy.

The glossier concealer is my favorite of all time!! They reformulated it some time ago and it used to have my PERFECT shade match and that color doesn’t exist anymore, but I’ve found something close and it’s still my favorite
