Nice video! I wish you had it posted about 2 months ago. I'm a Takeuchi parts dealer in the US and have a customer with the same machine change to steel tracks. He was having trouble with the last pin and I couldn't be of much help since I got them from a 3rd party vendor. Customer is a government highway dept and often has to work in creeks with sharp rocks. They would wear out the rubber ones in about 300 hours. One question: did your dealer tell you about the additional parts that should be added to the machine? Extra guides go on each side to keep the steel track in line and a step extension because track is wider. I too am impressed to see you clean it before working on it. @JiiRoxTuning Жыл бұрын
Tack!

Steel tracks are far superior than rubber tracks, and they work perfect on paved asphalt or concrete roads or parking lots, just bolt on rubber segments, as the steel tracks have pre drilled holes for them, just as those steel tracks have pre drilled holes for rubber segments to be put on or off as needed. They last way longer and less likely to get thrown off from catching edges.

How does the auto tension adjustment work? It’s usually a grease fitting you use to add/remove tension
@andrewleonard3623 Жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, i guess it is a hydraulic cylinder with a check valve in the feed line. To avoid overtensioning the tracks, the feed pressure is beeing limited to a defined pressure. to release the tension, you open a valve that allows hydraulic oil flow out of the cylinder (as you can see at 3:16).

Would probably never noticed it just watching on the phone but with the headset it's really easy to hear. No problem with it was just wondering why it was like that. This video i got the wind noise in the right ear and after days with storms here i thought it was starting up again outside 😅
It worked good so far!. I laughed when i read that, luckily it wasn't the storm returning!
Ya never use used sprockets on new track rail pins, if they are, the sprockets and pins wear out faster and premature, it's easy and one of the least expensive components to change, instead of costing more down the short line.
You know that you’re on right track when your present packing threads has to be opened with angle grinder.
You made it look too easy. Wondering what you do there??? Lots of gear, tons of talent and experience...
Bro, you got some skills wow!
You probably already know but you don’t have to run steel tracks so tight in muddy condition I was told to run them 4 fingers under the middle roller it will help turn in the mud and 3 fingers in the dry. If you run them as tight as rubber tracks they stretch and you’ll have to replace them sooner.
As he mentioned, the machine auto-tightens the track when in second gear, so he didn't have to do anything other than run the track while lifted.
This guy flexing his skills with the excavator by using a tree stump and the machine itself to remove part of the tire is awesome
Steel & rubber recoils are adjusted differently.
Wish the tracks on my leeboy paving machine were that easy to replace!! Hello from Tucson AZ USA
How does the track tensioner work? Ive only seen tracks get tensioned with a grease gun.
Rubber tracks don’t appear so worn out. Mine are much more, already 2 Steel carrier parts went off from the rubber and I’m still using them (with care)
Amazing Mini Excavator Takeuchi 👍👍👷
Those are some pretty cool looking pants. Had to go look them up. Sadly, that style is not available in the USA and the company does not offer tall sizes. 😢
Ah that's a shame, guess you got a legitimate reason to travel to Scandinavia then. Pants like this can be found everywhere here
Well done on the track change, good to see you looking after you're plant, the old tracks would make nice raised bed planters😂 take care when working alone🏴🇬🇧👍🚜
13:05 You are not the Clown. You are the entire circus. Thanks for the laughs :D You gotta make do when you're on your own...
Nice Job! Regards from Germany Stephan
Smooth well done, enjoy your videos, Arizona USA
Rubber is great for when you need to do as little damage as possible to the ground. Get them in snow though and they become a danger to load on certain trailer.
Nice video, just a fair warning those triple bar grouse don't like mud lol it's like ice.
Damn you are better with that log and excavator than I am with a toothpick :D
Very useful, but i have a question. How much for this steel track?
Where did you buy the tracks? They are intended to use the rubber track rollers I assume? Nice work!
I bought them from Entrack, not sure if they are available in other countries. But they import most of their stuff from Italy. The rollers are the same for steel as rubber. Thanks!
Have you set the Pressure of the Adjustcylinder?
Were the first person I have seen wash their equipment before you work on it and wash it again if you have more dirt well done and I just subscribed keep up the good work
It sure feels better washing it before. Thanks!
WOW.. thats some awesome Deal! Everything in Canada is double and triple those prices.
I expected it to be cheaper over there
I remember changing Tracks on a Tracked Howitzer whilst in the Army-oh & the fun we had, thinking it would be so easy lol you think like that when you are 20 👍
Is the old and new sproket with the same teeth pitch?
yes as far as i could see it was the same
What headset are you using
2:56 Man has his priorities in order. I'm not even being sarcastic.
So, did you order the right sounding ones? :)
absolutely, definitely better sound now
To retention a track is to put it on the ground so it is easier to put grease back in
22:00 obviously you’re curious did it improve your dozing capability. I’ve been wondering the same, and the blade height. Imo the dominating factor is the machine weight that gives you tracking force - or lack of it.
Also expect ice going between track pads and making loud bangs. It looses the track tension a bit.
yes it did, the steel tracks surely added more grip and weight to the machine.
@@M.BJOERNSTROEM my machine is too light. Tracks start slipping easily even with that small blade. It’s meant for balancing when digging, not for dozing.
p
👍👍👍
One side looks minivan, the other side looks prowl and growl... I see why you like metal track.
Wow!!!.....to be young and productive again!!!😄
I can see also a big benefit of having steel tracks if you're building your own rock quarry. That environment would shred rubber tracks.
My left ear thoroughly enjoyed that.
Now that looks a decent electric pressure washer what make was that if you don't mind me asking what is it a Karcher or something else 👋👍🏻
Its just a cheap no brand washer i had
How does the auto tension adjustment work? It’s usually a grease fitting you use to add/remove tension
I’ve found it much easier to put the master pin in when it’s on the sprocket end of it, the teeth help hold it in place.
Why the sledge hammer pin placement is their no nut on the end of the bolt?
Thanks for sharing. Where did you get the tracks? I’m in Sweden too and wondering if I can get steel tracks for my CAT 305. There are a lot of rocks, stubs and boulders in my backyard. Nice video.
I bought them from Entrack, they had the best price, thanks!
Now all you need to do is wield on a piece of plate steel on top of the blade making it taller than the dirt won't roll over the top and you can push more dirt 😊😊
How that tensioning works?
It has worked well, no slack in the tracks
@@M.BJOERNSTROEM i ment how does it work, i don’t understand it. Somehow automatically?
Yea me too , guessing hydraulic fluid as opposed to grease
@@tuju- He said it's hydrolic, not greace. There is probably a hydrolic piston in there he can actuate from the cabin.
Just watch the vid. He explains. Unless you need to put a penny in your hand, so you can “PAY” attention.
Good job!
How come the majority of the sound seems to be on the left for this vid?
I edited this without headphones so i never noticed that it had 2 different sound tracks. Microphone 1, front of camera. Microphone 2, back of camera.
Is that all you have to worry about?
Nice video
You're the Andrew Camarata of Sweden dude! Great to watch!
right
Wrong andrew is the M.BJOERNSTROEM of usa
Juda yaxshi qoyil
And satisfaction priceless!
No torque wrench?
The old rubber tracks look like they would make an industructable raised garden bed.
Good job
Bơm mỡ tăng xích kiểu gì hay vậy
I agree with you on liking the sound of steel tracks. For me, Its just like when I hear the iconic sound of someone racking a shotgun. It’s an unmistakable sound, and you know things just got serious. LoL
Haha that's true
Helal olsun tekbaşınıza değiştirdiniz..
Ese riel que tiempo dura. Cada cuanto tiempo se cambia.
Nice 😊
What are the advantages of a steel track vs rubber track?
Great job, pretty to watch.
Thanks!
That’s a real nice looking machine
it sure is!
And expensive.
Hopefully one day, there will be video about that white Škoda Felicia Pick-up.
So much better steel tracks
totally agree
My ecr58d is with steel as well, my land has no aspfalt. You can also fix steel tracks.
Cool 👏
