I’d probably buy a Slingshot before I bought a trike. If I couldn’t ride two wheels, I’d most likely be done with handlebars. Another solid video Dan!!
Thanks Jay I appreciate it. These opportunities are wild and I’m happy someone enjoys the contents. Let’s me keep doing this nonsense.
I'm right there with you I'm just kind of looking at something for winter time and rain maybe go get groceries
I use the term "Sunday Car" for a nice weather, Sunday drive kind of vehicle. Very much enjoyed your two vlogs on the Slingshot
Looks like a fun ride!
Love these things. Is the only storage behind the seats? I would love to weekend something like this at the beach.
Nice video with great scenery. But I already have a 30+ K summer only vehicle. Have had plenty of convertibles over the years. But I could see a niche for this type of vehicle.
Thanks I really enjoyed the video. I'm hopping to be an owner in the near future
Thanks. I’m in the process of daily driving it this week so I will have some additional content coming soon.
Brakes..Brembo..roof..yes....helmet great idea❤️🤟
I been through tortilla flat beautiful place to drive through. I would love to there again someday.
What kind of slingshot is that
I've been looking for a new daily commuter, something cheap and economic, and I've been wondering about the practicality of a slingshot. I figure it's a bit safer and more practical than a motorcycle but my concern is that I also live in Arizona, I live in Phoenix, and I'm worried it'll just be way too hot to drive for 6 months out of the year. I have an old M3 that's been going up in value and I want to keep the miles off it. Do you think in Arizona this thing *could* be driven comfortably year round? I mean I'm a college student who just needs something cheap and good on gas, and from their website this sounds like it'd check the boxes and be a lot cheaper than a car at a stealership.
Just make sure you get the roof and you'll have a blast.
One of the angle am looking at that is rated 'deadly products' is the sides rear-view mirror. I have had a near fatality incident in a freeway when a service vehicles' piece of plywood flies and hit & torn my left side-view mirror on Honda Accord. Fortunately, side window are up. Visualized it may happens to a Slingshot!
In the process of buying a Slingshot. The “what could go wrong” title was misleading, the answer was “nothing went wrong”. Aside from that, I enjoyed your accessment of the trike.
“If you go, She gone” 🥴😂😂😂
Its like a European sports car stuffed into a match box!...neve actually been in one...but every time I see one I want to try it!...one question...are these classed as a "motorcycle"?...great video....stay safe...ride safe!!😎🤙👍🤙👍🇨🇦
Depends on your state.
Do you need a motorcycle license or a regular drivers license to drive it.
Why not 4 wheels?
Why not two wheels? Why not roller skates? Why not public transportation?
ooooh Viper! ha
I had a 2021 R and the brakes stink
I wasn't impressed. Rented one that was fairly new and the belt wine was terrible and just felt cheap all around. Think they are all over priced as well. Yea, Polaris has the entry model for about 20k and a loaded one for over 34k. Just a frame and a plastic though. To me I think starting at 15k and topping at about 23k would be more in line. Vanderhall is even more barebones and even more money. Think they discontinued the cheap 25k model blackjack too. The Morgan and T-Rex are even more ridiculously priced!
I love comments like this. Saying "It wasn't for me" is totally fine, but the explanation why makes no sense. First the belt whine is "terrible" is a head scratcher, belts whine just like chains have their own distinct sounds. If you don't like the belt whine, that's not a Slingshot thing, its a belt thing. The price comment while I understand the root of it, lacks and appreciation for how volume dictates price. If Polaris sold 300,00 niche units annually (wouldn't even happen if it cost $10,000) it would be cheaper, they do sell more units than Morgan, T-Rex, and Vanderhall which is why they are much cheaper than those. While I think the price point makes it a tough decision for the masses to consider, it doesn't make it an unreasonable price. Sure everything would be better if it were all priced so everyone could afford everything however that isn't how money works. To think a 3 wheeled fully welded frame, incredible infotainment, speakers, 2.0L engine attached to a very respectable automotive 5 speed manual, power steering, power brakes, Fully (and great) LED lighting, and overall size should be priced at the same as Harley-Davidson Street Bob is far more ridiculous than the price of a Morgan and T-Rex combined. That reply might come off as chippy but not intentional, just an overall rejection of the modern version of my grandpa when he found out a VCR cost $35 at Service Merchandise saying "Back in my day" we used to....... Its that kind of thought process applied to modern products that drives me a little batty.
@@GearsGadgets we'll put my friend...
They need to make a four-wheel vehicle out of that... 'Nuff said!!!...
Problem with making it a four wheeled vehicle is then it becomes a car, needs airbags, crash testing, adds a ton of weight not only in safety equipment but in rear end suspension and drivetrain components. It would become more expensive and less fun to drive due to power to weight ratio.
@@GearsGadgets I'm well aware LOL just saying it would be a neat one...
There are mods out there you can turn it into a 4 wheel vehicle. Probably 5k+ to do.
@@cashxx I saw that. I think it would be killer to 4 wheel turbo one of these things.
@@cashxx Thank you
Just put the stickest tires on it the kind that only last one year
Look What I seen Twice
Similar for sure
Classified as a motorcycle in New York, which is ridiculous! Need a 3-wheel mc license endorsement, and required to wear a helmet. It’s not a motorcycle…it’s a sporty motor vehicle with a single rear drive wheel. Not to say that they’re not cool, but they’re not motorcycles.
Most places have them classified as autocycles now which is cool because it’s rightfully it’s own category. Buffalo born and raised so I’m well aware of the NYS way of doing things.

Well to each their own I guess ....pass
That is very true.
