  • Great video. IMO the particle and 3D system inside Fusion are really underrated, especially the particle system, you can make things so much faster and it looks damn good when you use the accumulation effects.

  • Hey Casey, could you please cover how to create tools in fusion that you can use on the edit page or place in power bins for reuse? I use different coloured arrows in a course I am building on mixing music, and a frustrating thing is that in order to change the arrow colour, I have to constantly open the fusion page and background node if I want something different. I know it can be done, but I haven't been able to find an exact video on how to do it. Ideally, I want the colour controls accessible for the fusion comp on the edit page. Thanks for the great tips, you should see the stuff I am building with knowledge you have shared. Thanks 🙏

I know magic mask exists but it's not always good as I want it to be..

    @NINETY-97-SEVEN@NINETY-97-SEVEN3 ай бұрын
  • Speaking of masks, I was making a graphic in fusion yesterday and was trying to crop it. The crop node didn't seem to work how I thought it should and after messing with it for awhile I started to feel like a dumb dumb and decided to just mask it instead. So much easier!

  • Would love to know the best way to "split clips" (in after effects terminology) inside of Fusion. I have tried fiddling with global in/out controls for each clip and making one start once another has finished, but when I connect them via a merge node, the merge node cannot be extended longer than the length of one of the individual clips. Would appreciate some help!

    @sebastianholmes1753@sebastianholmes17533 ай бұрын
  • One thing I wish that were in Fusion is the transforms on the edit page being absolute instead of relative. I hate splicing clips together in Fusion, then editing something on the colour page with a power window, and then if I move the footage around on the edit page the power window seems to scroll out of sync like it's on a parallax. I have yet to find a solution to this other than do masks in Fusions and output them as mediaout1 and mediaout2 as a matte.

  • Dr, Fusion can learn us some tool development. I came from After Effects and Adobe. One thing I miss dearly is my Red Giant and Video copilot tools. That was a couple hundred dollars in the water. There is stuff I miss like super comp(Red Gaint) Twitch(video copilot). Saber was remade by Sterling and called Proto V2. I would love my tools back.😂

  • Hey! How's it going?! I have a big question, every time I press In to put a marker, DR inserts the marker exactly where my playhead is, but when I mark the Out, the marker is done one frame after the playhead, is there any way to correct that? I think it was working properly before and I don't know what I press to change it (or I just never realized it was like that since the beginning hahaha). Thanks a lot!!!

    @TadeoValencia@TadeoValencia3 ай бұрын
    • Our always goes one frame after, the current frame is always to the right of the play head. So that's normal. If you hit I and O on the same frame the points will be one frame apart, and duration will be that single frame.

  • FUSION Comp with an embedded image that disappears. I want to reuse the EFFECTS of the comp in another comp on something else. New comp is going to be longer. Go to original comp, copy, go to new comp, paste, connect ... done, right? Not quite. It plays nice then the embedded image disappears when I reach the new, longer section of the comp. I have to delete the original image and then place it fresh from the media folder to get it to fill the new comp. Same thing happens with comps I have dragged the end out to make it longer and with comps that were imported in an imported BIN. Any solutions?

  • I have to be honest with you but these recent videos seem more like ad reads with some useful information sprinkled in rather than actual tutorials. You not only shilled the sponsor, you plugged your own course, and you mentioned the cartoon that you made. With how much time these things take up in the actual video it's hard to sit through these especially when so much of the information you mention are things that I learned less than week of learning Resolve. I'm running low on reasons to keep coming back to your videos which is a shame since I know the information you have to share and the quality you can present them at can be so good.
