Well your ‘inner gun nerd’ is wrong. It’s just the 1911. M means model, which is irrelevant to the gun itself, the M1911 is the model of the 1911, the 1911 is the actual gun.

Here are the info on how to setup the Oculus Link with Unity 📌 The cables that ship with the Oculus Quest don't work (even though the set up in Oculus Desktop shows that), you will need a good USB 3 to USB C cable. 1) Oculus Desktop app, Library > Update > download update (v1.43) 2) Restart app, update app, connect Quest, update Quest 3) Oculus Desktop App > Settings > General > enable Unknown Sources 4) In your Quest, enable Oculus Link by plugging it in or enabling in your settings 5) In Oculus Link, connect to your Unity project using Add Desktop Panel (+ icon) You should be able to run your scene in your headset once you press play You don't need to modify your Quest project to work right away with Oculus Link. Should work with all versions of Unity listed by Oculus. Hi! Your tutorials are awesome :) you should make some about driving!! I have not yet seen a tutorial where you can drive a motorcycle with the rotation of the controllers simulating the handlebar. I don't know if it is possibile but it would be super super cool!
More VR content please :) if you end up getting an idea about making a small game, make Devlogs and teach us what you’re doing - Always like those. By the way, do you have to have the Oculus Desktop software installed before you are able to run the Quest without compiling/building in Unity?

Awesome work! Just a quick question. While making the game, in order to test the app with the play button do we have to switch platform to Android or keep it Windows Mac Linux Standalone because the PC will see the Quest as a normal VR Headset?

Switch platform to Android and keep it that way. The play button should work. On Mac there are several things that don't work correctly with the play button but you can comment them out.

Just watched Pistol Whip gameplay, you literally made like 90% of the game in 30 minutes. No AI, just sync enemy triggers in sync with music, write some shaders that react to bit and there you have it 1200 positive reviews on steam. Mind boggling %)

Should I use the steamvr asset from the assetstore or the one from Oculus, when I make my own vr game? :)
SteamVR works with Oculus PC headsets, as well as WMR/Vive/Index headsets. Oculus is good for quest. And you could, at least in theory, implement *both* and come up with some clever obfuscation that'd let you easily port it to both storefronts.

Do you have to do anything specific to make unity work LIVE using oculus link ? I know how to build for the device itself, but not how to setup so you can really test direct

I am making a small project for my school were I already have a finished build of a simple burger flipping hamburger restaurant simulator. i want to add something like this for shooting rats in the restaurant, kinda like a small module were you need to shoot X rats to win and end the day.
