  • I just got Invisalign today and she makes a good point about being in control. With braces if you feel pain there really isn’t anything you can do you just have to put up with it. With Invisalign you can take it out for a couple minutes to give your teeth a breather.

  • I'll give you some tips. 1- Best relief is keeping ice cold water in your mouth specificaly wherever is most itchy. Huge relief!!! 2- Pick a side and pull them out from the inner-side of your mouth on your wisdom teeth, and it easily peels off of your teeth. 3- Try to keep ur upper and lower jaw seperated, the less ur trays touch each other, the less u feel ur teeth. I know it is kind of tough but by biting ur trays u make ur teeth and gum more alert and sensitive against pain. Not letting ur trays touch each other helps pretending that they r not there. 4- In my case, on the 4th day (after the 3rd day of teeth, jaw and head aches) I realized it started to cause more pain to not to have them on. So try to keep them on as long as u can. 5- Don't try to give your teeth a moment of relief by taking your trays out even for one second because your teeth lean more on going to where they were rather than stay where they r. So you would cause urself longer periods of pain in return of a second of relief. Peace ✌️ I hope ur experience is less painful and annoying than mine.

    • @@mehreenkhan4127 put your nail of ur thumb or index finger on the edge of the retainer where it meets ur wisdom teeth and pull it up or down. And when I put it on I place the mid of the upper retainer first, push and bite slowly. For the lower u can just place it and bite. I dunno if u r using rubber as well...

  • I got aligners about two months ago, it's been a great experience so far, i would say it doesn't really hurt that much. The pain is very bearable. Other than that it is a bit uncomfortable for a few days but then u get used to it pretty quickly but one thing I'd share is that it's a responsibility. U have to take them off before eating and then brush your teeth each time and clean the aligners and then out them on. It may not sound taht hard but for a lazy person like me it sometimes is.

  • A lot of people say it hurts a lot; I got mine a mounth ago,and it was uncomfortable only the first 4 days, but it was totally bearable, nothing too bad,I couldn't even call it pain,it was just a constant annoying pressure, the day 5 I stoped feeling it.That's all.The rest of trays I don't feel any pain, only pressure the first 10 minutes, but again, nothing bad.

  • From my experience with braces, am pending with clear aligners(! Hoping it goes good for me in my consult today) ~ ❤ What really helps with pain is every single time you get home from a braces tightening, dose up on painkillers before the pain attacks you. Do the same regime if you’d like with starting a new tray set of aligners (so simultaneously you’re combatting the pain that can be caused as you need to straighten it: it really requires discipline & responsibility for sure). - I heard 2 hour breaks are okay throughout the day, but really it’s flexible and can be removed when you’re going to eat in example, surely have them cleaned up & placed back on. Know taking painkillers is okay cause you’re literally going through a medical treatment.* ~ And advice number 2: Orajel Antiseptic mouthwash. Is incredible. Helps relieve any cheek ulcers that can form, usually from orthodontic treatment, gives pain relief (really gently move it everywhere you have pain), and is incredible overall & super hygienic.* I love it & greatly recommend it. It made my corrective (orthos’ fault: malpractice 😮‍💨) experience the second time round go by so much more smoothly, respectfully. That I still use it as my daily mouthwash. ❤

  • Its been two months since I got aligners. I am 19.. It never hurts to wear them. I fell pressure in my teeth for 5 min every time I change trays. And then no feeling of aligners...

  • Aligners seem like a breeze. It seems soooo easy, you can take it off whenever you want and it looks like it doesn’t hurt it’s just like plastic over your teeth. Braces seem so much more painful when the ortho has to use pliers to change that wire 😬😰

    • @@mehreenkhan4127 i think it also depends on your pain tolerance. I’m very prone to migraines and tension headaches so my teeth shifting triggers those. if you aren’t extremely sensitive, i promise you’ll be fine in a couple weeks. get those hooks and just force yourself to take them out a few times a day and it’ll get easier :)
