good boys 2019
Barbie
Superbad is the best comedy ever!!
Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) and Free Guy.
mean girls and jumanji welcome to the jungle
Tropic Thunder has no right being as good as it is. Underrated classic.
I know! "What's wrong with you people?!"
It’s a shame comedies like that will never be made again. Not in today’s woke Hollywood

Imagine being Warner Bros., turning down Home Alone, watching it stay in the top spot of the box office for 12 weeks into the next year and then seeing what you’ve chosen to make instead falter as it happens. You at WB chose to make a movie like Nothing But Trouble and then watched it fail hard while Fox rolled in the dough with Home Alone. A true “kicking myself” moment right there.
The movie 'Tag' with Jon Hamm and Renner was SOOO funny 😂
Tag should definitely be on this list.
I remember wanting my brother to watch Mean Girls and Legally Blonde with me, and he initially refused, thinking that they'd be "Too Girly." He ended up being pleasantly surprised by how much he enjoyed them.
I honestly think every teenage boy should see Mean Girls 😄 it's funny, nasty and spot on
I mean, they are and they're not all of us cup of tea, but that doesn't make them any less of a good movie.
Exactly the thought I had. Watched it about 10 years after it was released and it's one of my all time favourite movies now.
My boyfriend loves that movie from before we even met. I imagine a lot of guys did but wouldn't all admit it lol
I was like that when my ex tried to get me to watch those movies too. But then I saw them and ended up liking them lol. They're great movies
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery was one of the first movies I thought of. I remember seeing posters for it and saying "This looks dumb." But, I went with a friend on opening night and was surprised how funny it was.
Yes!! This should be on here! Also the princess bride
the other guys gave us such an iconic scene, the rock and sam jackson "aim for the bushes"🤣🤣🤣
“Imagine where you’d be in your career if you didn’t shoot Jeter.”
No movie has disappointed me and made me pleasantly surprised more than The Other Guys. I had no idea about the "aim for the bushes" scene, so I was disappointed Rock and Jackson didn't stay in the movie long. But it turned it to be a hilarious movie.
They should do a spinoff of that scene.
Not to mention the ‘they’re not all 1st round picks’ scene when describing his hot wife 😅
'Heartbreakers' should definitely be on this list. It's so criminally underrated. Nobody expected a movie with dramatic actors like Sigourney Weaver, Gene Hackman, Ray Liotta etc. to be so funny.
Jennifer Love Hewitt was so hot in that movie.
Facts!! I love that movie!!
JLH was an absolute baddie
You definitely missed Office Space. Like....Top 5
The Nice Guys is an underrated masterpiece and Ryan Gosling is superb making comedy.
I remember streaming it and immediately wanting to watch it again. It's rare that a movie makes me laugh out loud as much as it did. The part where he's drunk and falls down the hill and discovers a dead body is solid gold - just after jumping into a swimming pool to "question the mermaids". 😂
@@MOSMASTERING Ahaha yes indeed and then he tried to scream but just can’t that’s hilarious.
I had no idea Eurotrip was going to be as funny as it was. I figured I'd probably chuckle here and there, but I laughed out loud near constantly with that film. One of my favorite teen angst/coming-of-age comedy films. Can't believe you didn't mention it.
The robot performing fight set to "Two Tribes" is iconic.
"Scotty Doesn't Know" is still a banger!! 😂
@@Traci2000 always will be!
Tropic Thunder & Walk Hard are the two that blew me away as being so much funnier than expected
Mystery Men (1999) I'm Not The Biggest Ben Stiller fan but Mr. Furious was my favorite character
The Heartbreak Kid was surprisingly hilarious too
I agree with the assessment that it's great, but I don't think it actually did well when it came out. Cult classic. This is why I wouldn't put The Big Lebowski on this list. No one thought it would be good and it didn't do well, even though it's an amazing film and is widely recognized today.
I went to see Game Night on a whim when I was subscribed to MoviePass. I was constantly surprised by how good it was and hope more people watch it.
I told everyone I knew, like 8 whole people, that Game Night was amazing.
3 bags of Tostitos scoops, I notice.
@@IhaveaDoghouseHow can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?
When you said classic lines from Friday, I think most of us thought the same thing: "YOU GOT KNOCKED THE **** OUT!"
Blockers surprised me so much! We went and saw it with little expectations and fell in love with the cast
"My name is Jeff" 🤣🤣🤣
Always great to see Galaxy Quest getting love!
a true classic movie
It’s one of my mama’s favorites!
R I.P Alan Rickman
_Mean Girls_ in the second third of the list? I’ll take it. The best way to compare one’s favorite teen movies is with a line from that “Fetch” movie.
“Take a picture, write it down. I don’t give a fck”😂 The guy who wrote Friday, wrote GTA San Andreas? If so that’s dope.
Bridesmaids was so overhyped when I finally went to see it. But, wow, it delivered.
Tropic Thunder was one of my favorite movies in 2008. This movie, along with Iron Man, made me fall head over heels in love with Robert Downey Jr. And yes, blackface is so politically incorrect to do in movies now, but Ben Stillers direction and writing contribution helped balance the over the top satire of Downey’s character. Hell, the dude was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for this role. I just really glad he didn’t win, because all hell would have broke loose in the Black community if he did!!! Bruh!!! All in all, it’s a great film. You have to watch it. Bonus tip, watch the extended version. Way more funnier scenes included.
I gotta be honest, RDJ was so good in that film that I kept forgetting it was him.
The black community forgave RDJ…he’s the only one who got a pass 😂
@@hercproductionstudios Because he's the dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude!
@@fi_gabor7851why would the black community didn't watch.
Hot Tub Time Machine, Horrible Bosses, The Other Guys, Neighbors & 21 Jump Street Surprised Me.
Big Trouble in Little China, A Fish Called Wanda, Being There, Rush Hour, Monty Python's Holy Grail, The Gods must be Crazy, Shaun of the Dead - These were excellent comedy films.
But a film by Monty Python was bound to be funny, that’s why it wouldn’t have made the list, the same with A Fish Called Wanda, starring so many of the core Python actors. Gods must be crazy has not aged well
Say what!?!?! Not only was Austin Powers not number one on your list, but you completely left it off? No one was interested in that movie, but as word of mouth about the movie spread, it became a must-rent film, and when the sequel came out, it made more money on the first day than the original did in its entire time in theaters.
Preach!
I feel bad that I forgot about Austin Powers, but that would be good on my list of that like movies that bombed at the box office but then like found an audience later
Where's The fantastic LEGO Movie? People thought it would be crap. It shocked almost everyone with its awesometudeness!!!
I thought the movie was a stupid, pathetic cash grab. Nothing more than an overly produced commercial. Boy was I happy to be COMPLETELY wrong. I now own the first one and the squeal. Both are amazing.
@rickm.2956 I’m sure it-and maybe the sequel-will be in this list’s sequel “Another Top 30 Comedy Movies NO ONE Expected To Be Good”!
NO ONE thought Airplane! would be any good...until people went and saw the movie and laughed their butts off. And it still is funny 44 years later.
*Kung Pow: Enter the Fist* ❤😂

Tropic Thunder shocked me…I went to the movie theatre with hell expectations and came out saying it was a classic
You need to make top 50 underrated films and add Grandmas Boy and Dodgeball plus Old School.
"Tropic Thunder", the best comedy of the last 24 years. And in the top 5 comedies of all Times. PS: " Anchorman" also in the top 5.
So true
How is My Big Fat Greek Wedding NOT on this list?
agree, i was so surprised by that one :)
I’m sure it’ll be on this list’s sequel “Another Top 30 Comedy Movies NO ONE Expected To Be Good”!
Stuck on you is one of the funniest and underrated movies but this list is great- thanks for sharing !😊
AGREED. It's Farrelly Bros' most underrated gem.
I remember streaming The Nice Guys and immediately wanting to watch it again. It's rare that a movie makes me laugh out loud as much as it did. The part where he's drunk and falls down the hill and discovers a dead body is solid gold - just after jumping into a swimming pool to "question the mermaids".
If you didnt think Deadpool would be funny you don't know Ryan Reynolds. The character was like made for him. It's just his personality multiplied.
Snatch is one of my favorite action/Comedies of all time. 🥰
Me, too! I love that movie!
I thoroughly liked this video. It also proves that the early 2000's had some of the best comedies of all time.
A one helluva listing! Amazing! Well done!👍🏻👍🏻
What about "A Christmas Story"? Nobody thought a nostalgic family comedy by the director of "Black Christmas" and "Porky's" would appeal to anybody.
Love it!!! Only 4 of these I had never seen.
Home Alone with the Beta/VHS Tape..Xmas Classic that we still have it after 34yrs
I’m honestly surprised that Guardians of the Galaxy or The Lego Movie aren’t on this list
Here are several that I did not expect to be that good not ranked here. Those with the word bad in the title. Bad Santa, bad teacher, and bad moms.
Great list....NAILED IT
I watched mean girls for the first time this year and is it fair to say that it’s kind of a miracle how well it portrays what it wants to? Let alone how it became the endlessly quoteable phenomenon that it did?
Napoleon Dynamite is one of the strangest movies and I couldn’t get it the first time I saw it, but it sticks with you and it has this ridiculous charm ya can’t resist.
We’re The Millers, Black Dynamite, Scary Movie 2, CHIP’s, Beerfest, Super Troopers 1 & 2, and White Chicks would be on my list. I had low expectations of these movies but they pleasantly surprised me.
"Tropic thunders humor might not work today" Well, it's still funny so clearly the humor works. A major part of comedy is being able to laugh at yourself.
The humor definitely works still today. I also hate when people say garbage like, "I wouldn't be made today". Like we were somehow totally cool with blackface just a few years back but now everybody universally dislikes it? Nope, they went with that then because the outrage was so thunderous at that time.
How is Dumb and Dumber not #1 on this list? No one expected anything from it, and it’s literally one of the most quoted movies ever. Also, Caddyshack should be somewhere on the list.
Not sure those qualify. When they came out, Jim Carrey, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray, and Chevy Chase were already household names.
Seriously!
Friday being on here and the narration yall did for it, cracks me tf up
Tom cruise's best performance and that end credit was the BEST OF ALL TIME!
Wedding Crashers shoulda been on the list somewhere
"Aim for the bush " literally put me in hospital due unable to breathing after laughing.... After that I had to be more serious to life.
I can't believe home alone is on this list
Tropic thunder is and always will be a GOAT!! RDJ did his best in that role of a dude playing a dude disguised as a another dude! 😂😂
Pretty decent list. Missing Super Troopers, but can agree with most on here.
Game Night is so good 😂
The Nice Guys at #19 is criminal. This is a perfect movie all around not just a good funny comedy.
One of the funniest movies of all time. #19 is a joke.
Agreed! All anyone one does is bitch hollywood has no original ideas, Nice guys comes out, Hilarious, New, Fresh story, Does Dick at the Box office, Most underrated movie of the passed 20 years
You left out the biggest reason why 21 Jump Street was such a surprisingly good comedy: the show it was based off of was not a comedy. It was a show with a flimsy premise that mostly played it straight. That it was able to be converted into a campy comedy was a huge surprise. It’s the equivalent of following up the Tim Burton Batman movies with the Adam West show.
Game Night was a big surprise for me, as was Horrible Bosses
Soooo happy to see Walk Hard and The Nice Guys on the list! Underrated but so awesome ! 😍
No Office Space? Wow, just wow.
3:22 When, 24 years later, you can STILL quote the first and surnames of both lead characters from memory, you know it was a good movie. (Thank you, Theodore Logan & Bill S. Preston .. Esquire)
On the last two days of school, I borrowed my brother's Napoleon Dynamite movie. I hadn't seen it, but turned it on for students if they wanted to watch. I had 4 classes throughout the day, and I watched the first half 4 times, and the next day, I watched the second half of the video for 4 class periods. The more I watched It , the more I laughed. It just got funnier and funnier the more I watched it. Just seeing the clip made me laugh again. I love the movie.
Gremlins two is the movie I always think of as unexpectedly funny. The building alone and its talking elevators are worth the watch.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World anyone?
Found it underwhelming, sorry.
Galaxy Quest should be number one, that movie is a masterpiece .
I loved the Nice Guys.
Game Night is INSANE. The characters are sociopaths
Nah I expected Tropic Thunder to be good. I did not expect it to be outstanding
Nobody saw that coming
Keaton just KILLED it in Beetlejuice. When that came out I took a girl on one of our first dates to it and we laughed so hard I nearly puked in the popcorn and she almost peed herself.
All of these are some great comedy classics now that nobody can resist watching or laughing 😄😆 I cannot resist watching Napoleon Dynamite, Home Alone, Bridemaids, Mean Girls, The Others Guys or Superbad. I would. I will say this though Blockers really surprised me because I wasn’t expecting it to be so hilarious 😂😂
This list is phenomenal!
Great list for once hehe
Man I might be on my own with this one but I didn’t think Superbad was that funny! There are funny moments. Might have to rewatch that one
Saving Silverman? 🤔👍
MAN : NICE TO MEET YOU DARREN " looks at JUDITH " SATAN "
Omg Spy needs a sequel!!!😊
So glad you put Napoleon Dynamite so high. One of my favorite movies of all time. Will be doing a Napoleon Tour in Preston, ID this summer.
That movie sucks
Good list. Kung Pow was very funny...Call me Betty 😂
I was surprised by the film Confetti, which was a comedy about a wedding magazine putting on a competition for the most original themed wedding. Was actually really funny.
The Nice Guys is incredibly underrated and a fantastic watch
I'm honestly surprised Zoolander didn't make the list. A comedy about male models and conspiracy theories? I wasn't expecting much, but ended up enjoying far more than I could imagine.
"Iron Maiden! Excellent!"
Deadpool was I movie I expected it to be: funny and violent What I didn't expect: Wade Wilson kissing the pizza guy
Little Miss Sunshine was surprisingly good 😊
Hot Fuzz deserves a top ten spot Big Lebowski carved itself in cinematographic history
Dude where's my car and Kevin and Perry Go Large are brilliant film's. 😂
I dunno I went to sleep during Dude Where's My Car? Maybe I didnt get it.
Its crazy how many future stars were in superbad
Pineapple Express & Knocked up could easily be up there too.
I genuinely thought all these movies where going to be funny before I watched them or why would I even try and watch them but none the less all these movies where funny af and im thankful for all of them .
I’d never even heard of The Other Guys when I stumbled across it on Netflix one day and, bored, decided to give it a shot. I am SO glad I did! I legit cried laughing during that film. I have no idea why it isn’t more widely known and appreciated, though I’m selfishly kind of glad as it was such an awesome surprise! If you haven’t seen it then definitely give it a go, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed 🙂
My list would put Galaxy Quest in the top 3! Thanks for including it!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I’d say tag should’ve been a honorable mention
Im so glad you guys put walk hard on here!! That movie is so freakin funny!!😁😁 Also, i cant stand family guy but i absolutely loved ted, ted 2 and million ways to die in the west!! So im glad ted got a spot on here too!! This was a pretty good list choice!!😁😁👍👍 Last thing, i wouldve killed for that jump street-mib movie!! I remember reading about it when it was still being talked about!! That wouldve just been something else completely!! Theres no way it couldve been made cuz the universe wouldnt have been able to handle it!!😁😁
This is Spinal Tap is a big one for me
Game night had me laughing throughout the entire movie.
I was expecting Barbie to make the list, at number one even. Who would ever expect a comedy about Barbie to be that funny and good?
It wasn’t. Are you high?
Everyone expected it. It was the most hyped movie of the year.
@@maestroh2986 This. Not to mention that no one expects a Ryan Gosling - Margot Robbie to not do well.
, i put TED on hold for years and when I finally got forced to see it i was like "this is awesome WTF did I wait so long" lol
The bad guy in Galaxy Quest gave the guys from Twiztid their hairstyles for the "freekshow" album 😅
Fun facts about Beetlejuice. 1. Sammy Davis Jr. Was the original choice for Beetlejuice. But Tim Burton liked Michael Keaton's audition more, that's why he got the part. 2. Before Winona Ryder, other women auditioned for the role of Delia Deetz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brooke Shields, Lori Loughlin, Diane Lane, Justine Bateman, Molly Ringwald, Juliette Lewis, and Jennifer Connelly and Alyssa Milano. Anjelica Huston was cast as Delia Deetz, but she got sick, and had to drop out. And that's the story of how Winona Ryder got the role of Delia Deetz. Enough said.
