  • The pilot who is at the bar in the cantina talking to Obi-Wan, is also wearing the Dr Who outfit, but in green. And, none of the Bespin footage in your video were actually the matte paintings. But, yes, they are breathtaking!

  • Don't hate me if you disagree, but I have always seen the force as the ability to change your luck. I guess that is because I saw A New Hope in a 1978 theater when I was 6, and the rest as they came, and never read into the lore. Yet, just believing that made me a fan. I really enjoy these channels that elaborate after doing that reseach for me. Still: May the force be with you.

    • Partially right, they filmed the scene showing him building a new lightsaber so that people would know it's not the same one, but also realized waving a blue lightsaber against a blue sky would make it essentially disappear so in both scenes it was made to be green. There never were to be any other colors of lightsaber until Samuel l Jackson insisted on purple and now it's opened the door into a bunch of different colors and not into the easily identifiable good and bad sides and their clear struggle Star wars was always intended to depict.

It was to do with the musket flash and forming of squares with the hope that the firing would be more precise...it wasn't, but the famed 95th Rifles trained in both left and right hand firing.. • I saw Star Wars over 90 times in 1977 -- Star Wars, not, "Eposide IV: A New Hope" -- and I can attest with absolute certainty that Han didn't shoot Greedo first. Han shot Greedo, period. Greedo was pointing a weapon at him, and told him explicitly that he intended to do him harm, so being that Han was a man of fair experience, he knew that the law (based, as it was, on English common law, despite Star Wars existing a long time ago and far far away) would allow him to snuff Greedo and not even have to pay to clean up the remains. Weird, right? Doesn't matter. Han merked Greedo in self-defense. It was a clean shooting. No one would ave blamed Han. No one finds this a character flaw. Except George Lucas, who has been trying to sanitize that scene for almost fifty fucking years now, that pansy. He just can't let Solo be Solo. Well, I can, and so should you.

    • @@dragonweyr44Your "real world people have a dominant hand" comment has nothing to do with what I was saying. Op said the shots were reversed to make the stormtroopers left handed. I pointed out how there are shots with the main characters and other things on screen at the same time. If the stormtroopers were filmed right handed in a shot and then the film was reversed to make them left handed you end up with this problem: Reversed film as seen: Stormtroopers left handed. Han Solo right handed Falcon cockpit on right Darth Vader's blinkenlights on left Imperial officer uniform badges left chest Chewbacca's bandolier left shoulder And so on for every prop and set and actor in the film Original film as shot: Stormtroopers right handed Han Solo left handed Falcon cockpit on left Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Imperial officers costume belong on right, Etc. for everything in the film. We'll call things that appear in shots with stormtrooers class A. Things that appear in a class A shot but without stormtroopers are class B. Things that appear with class B not not A or stormtroopers are class C. Class A being reversed means that there are shots of B that have to be reversed which means C has to etc. Every shot which showed something in the chain would have to be reversed. Han is always right handed, the Millennium Falcon always has its cockpit on the right. Your options are: Han was shot right handed and no film was reversed. Han was shot left handed and all the film was reversed. Han was shot right handed when no stormtrooper was around and that film was not reversed, but when there stormtroopers in the same shot he had a separate left handed costume, including left handed holster and mirror image prop gun, and he held his gun left handed in all shots with right handed stormtroopers and just those shots were reversed to make him right handed and stormtroopers left handed. Two of those are incredibly stupid. I haven't touched this time on the fact that the prop gun on screen had a magazine well on the left so if the shots were reversed this means they had to use a prop with the magazine well on the right to make it look like it was on the left after reversal. Because you know, that's what you would be arguing for if you were trying to tell me I was wrong.

That was the original story and it was good. Lucas was completely surprised by the success of the film so he retconned the story to make Darth Vader a tragic antihero in a shameless cash grab. Studio interference is the only reason the first movie was good because they trimmed down a lot of the minutiae.

That and the Force Awakens had an entire planet able to harness the power of it's own star and also move as well. The entire star system, and possibly the entire galaxy far, far away, would have been affected by the destruction of a planet as well. How would the gravitational pull be affected in our star system if Mars was blasted into small rocks? He are held in our place around the sun by it's gravitational pull, are we not also affected by the other planets gravity? I am only asking. Because nothing happened in 4, 7 and 9 when planets were destroyed. Another note, in 8 and 9 people were able to survive the heat/cold and lack of oxygen of space. Both when Leia was floating until she Force willed herself back into her star ship and when Fin and the female former storm trooper he was with were trying to escape the command ship they were escaping. Because space is either near absolute zero or several thousands of degrees hot, a person die before their brain were able to register it was happening. The common belief is that the oxygen in our body would instantly begin to boil and split us into billions of tiny pieces like and explosion.

    • He specifically said in the character's debut movie, The empire strikes back, his name was never mentioned, it was mentioned for the first time on the big screen in ET which came out between The empire strikes back and return of the Jedi. Then Han says his name a couple of times on the skiff over the sarlacc pit.

    • This sounds like a distinction without a difference particularly when people from a non gun-owning countries are discussing space laser pistols in a fictional film. Next you're going to insist we say laser bullet instead of laser blast?
