Do sand FLEAS taste good??

2024 ж. 1 Мам.

Well do they? There are two types of sand fleas/sand crabs you can catch in the surf zone. Soft shell and hard shell. I love soft shell crab rolls at the sushi place, so I thought why wouldn't soft shell sand crabs be as delicious? I caught some of these little crabs and cooked them on the beach with my pan and butter. . . Ok, I put too much butter this time...but still I don't think it would make the results any different.

  • You don't know how to cook them. Cut up some onions, garlic, add a half table spoon of salt and black pepper, and stir fry it. When it's cooked, throw it in the trash.

  • He did it all wrong! First you carefully wash the sand fleas in the purest spring water (slightly chilled). Then in the skillet melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter, add some fresh minced garlic, salt, and pepper (maybe a dash of cayenne pepper). After a minute or so, AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP, throw away the sand fleas and add shrimp to the pan. Cook thoroughly and enjoy!

  • You did not cook them long enough. When cooked right the hard shell disintegrates in your mouth. The hard shell you had should of been red in color. It looked grey still. You really only want the hard shells not soft. I have cooked them for myself and kids and we enjoyed them. When done right they taste like lobster bisque. Don't give up. Keep the vids coming.
