  • The fact that y'all made this about "practice", and basically a joke at his expense, and not him talking about the pressures he felt due to his friend dying, and the overall stress in his life.. that's why players don't like the media.

    • @@gabrieltrujillo957 the point is, his press conference had WAAAAAAAY more to it than the "practice" part, so isolating that, and ignoring the substantive pieces was always disingenuous as fuck. Considering people absolutely used this "practice rant" in ways to attack Iverson's character for YEARS, yes.. it was wrong do this. And also you're lying to yourself if you're saying that, regardless of AI's smile, this clip wasn't used in ways to laugh AT Iverson, not with him, for years. Stop it.

    • Blah blah blah. Getting paid millions to “play a game”. Its not really a job, more like getting paid for a hobby, and this fool wont go to practice? Then they wonder y theres no loyalty amongst owners and players. Go to practice, show up to the games, win....ok, heres your millions of dollars. But no, they got a “i’ll do what i feel like attitude”. Cool.

If not, I'm not sure how you can make that argument, when the ACTUAL situation was that Iverson was in a depressed funk, since his best friend had gotten murdered like the day before that practice. To anyone on the fence, how about a little context. This press conference was after a crucial late season loss after iverson had not only been reported to have missed at least 1 practice that week, but he was also featured on TMZ the previous Friday, April the 12th….at a nightclub… consuming alcohol… on national television.
