  • Still my favorite player of all time. Idc if we didn’t get to see *much* of what he could do when he’s right, his MVP season was a highlight reel in itself. Dude was unstoppable. Too big, too strong, too fast, too good.

  • The body control this man had with the ball in his hand was special. He’s going to be talked about like the oldheads talk about Bill Walton but D Rose carried a bunch of defenders and under preforming Carlos Boozer to the #1 seed in East Conference the same era of prime Lebron and the big 3 Heat. He was special. 😢

  • He was like a small sport car with a super big Turbo . So fast so explosive but that power and explosiveness and speed was just too much for his body to handle . Which eventually led to his injuries. Remember seeing him in person here in Chicago, his speed and acceleration was out of this world once that fasbreak started no one i mean no nobody could out run this dude he was a blur in the open court just amazing acceleration and control “he was a ferrari with a bunch of hyundais out there on the court “ just like stacey king once said . Just amazing talent rose had I dont think we will ever see anyone close to drose. Winning the mvp at 22 in a league in a league with the best player’s in the world , this achievement will be one of the hardest to ever break for anyone been 11 years now and not one player has broken this achievement yet , how special and beast drose was, Ja is nice but not even close .

    • No way rose was better than Lebron. Brons defense and scoring was much better than rose thats why bron locked him down in the ECF in 2011. I do think rose deserved that mvp though but clearly rose was never better than bron. Drose could have been better though if it wasn’t for the injuries. Injuries robbed us of his peak prime . But a 22 year old drose was nowhere close to miami bron. Thats one thing that people forget about bron his defense in miami. Those where his best years defensively. Ima big rose fan but I can’t ever say rose was better than bron cause I know and understand basketball I can’t agree with you sorry. At 22 rose was never better than lebron . • Skip to like 5:33, I think that is like the greatest example of how ridiculous Rose athleticism was. He flies for the block, goes out of bounds for a sec, then accelerates into Ferrari mode, gets the ball, and then becomes a one man wrecking crew, ignores the D, calmly makes his way inside, spins like it's nobodies business, contorts his body and lays it in (against a great defender Hibbert too) Gosh Rose made me fall in love with basketball so hard, even if I could never play like him (not that anyone really can... although some come close)
