  • "*This artifact* named for **the city**..." means they just gave a little more hint but surely won't accept just the city's name... that's a real shame. The shock in her face...

  • Alan Lin defeated 12 game champion Austin Rogers in the 2017 Tournament of Champions Quarterfinals and came ahead of him in the Finals. Matt Jackson was a 13 game champion who was Ken Jennings-esque. He was a very strong superchampion in the pre-Holzhauer era! Terry O'Shea was a Princeton student who faced Julia Collins in the 2014 Tournament of Champions Semifinals, she's the nicest contestant the show has ever seen, and is just the kindest person ever!

  • Fun fact: This is the second game Terry played when Johnny Gilbert covered songs as Jeopardy questions. The first time was the first finals game of the 2014 College Championship Tournament. Since she happened to be selected for what would be the 9,000th episode and that was mentioned for The Lyrical Stylings of Johnny Gilbert, the timing was perfect! Also, those who are punk fans, this is the first time Blink-182 came up since the first week of the 2024 Champions Wildcard. The question was: It's no small thing that Tom DeLonge of this pop-punk band was mentioned during a congressional hearing about UFOs.

    • @@hgb0005 someone says “the Rosetta” and everyone knows what you mean. Idk, I get why they do what they do, but especially with the wording of this question, that was pretty dumb. Maybe it’s a personality thing, I’m a more go with the flow type of person.

      @hauntedhaunter6148@hauntedhaunter6148Ай бұрын
    • @@hauntedhaunter6148 yeah, that doesn't work on a game show giving away potentially big amounts of money. Especially with the wording of the question, that's why it isn't dumb. It was worded precisely - the clue wanted the artifact, not the city. That is exactly why the 'the Rosetta' is not good enough. (Also, she didnt answer 'the Rosetta', she answered 'Rosetta'. The other two contestants got the right answer. If you you were a contestant and you lost out on a big sum of money to someone who put 'Rosetta' (not 'the Rosetta') when you put 'the Rosetta Stone', would you just go with the flow? Perhaps you would, but most would not.

      @hgb0005@hgb0005Ай бұрын
    • @@hgb0005 Rosetta/The Rosetta, you know what they mean. At some point we gotta use our context clues to understand that these very smart people know what they’re talking about. The question was not worded well.

      @hauntedhaunter6148@hauntedhaunter6148Ай бұрын
    • @@hauntedhaunter6148 I'm not saying she didn't know what the clue was referring to. But you keep stressing the same thing - which is exactly what I'm stressing that I disagree about. The clue was worded precisely//there's nothing badly worded about the clue. The other two knew the clue wanted the artifact because it was very clear. Also, yes in context if someone is talking about 'the Rosetta', I understand they know what is being referred to. But out of context, I wouldn't know. I've never heard the Rosetta Stone referred to as The Rosetta before - perhaps that's out of the ordinary.
