Holy crap! Thank you for not adding music like EVERY other person. It's nice to hear a craftsman using his tools without annoying background music to ruin the experience. Great build 👍🏻
............. You hit my pet peeve. Some of it is very annoying. And sometimes the music dominates and overpowers the video. I then move on, or watch in silence, and hopefully the person isn't talking. These days lots of TV shows are like this. This video thankfully does NOT have this problem.

Непременно нужно будет предусмотреть систему регулировки смещения ленты, во время работы она будет неравномерно растягиваться и сползать то влево, то вправо. Регулируется наклоном оси верхнего ролика, успехов в строительстве Вашего гриндера🖐☀

This is a really nice build. Looks like a very sturdy construction, and is the first solid looking build I've come across that doesn't involve welding. Yes, I intend to learn to weld, but unless you already have the gear and skills (or have a friend who does) most of the builds on line are out of reach. Great job.

Simple and neat construction, excellent use for an old angle grinder. However I have one concern: the typical speed of an angle grinder is about 10,000 to 12,000 rpm, which at a disk diameter of 55mm will result in 1,700 to 2,000 m/min belt speed. I'm not sure that the belt is designed to run at those speeds. What's your impression after using it for some time?

Yeah this was my concern also, much too high speed ! Variable speed angle grinders are not cheap, I prefer the option of using a belt sander and building a rig/table/stand standard belts are cheap and these machines run well.
That’s the most gentle way I have ever seen of saying, “You are creative but fucking nuts”
A router speed control unit and momentary power foot pedal switch may be able to reduce the RPM.
A speed regular will do the job perfact.
This is a great design and build, very simple but works great.

These are some great videos for people living in very low economic countries and remote villages. Seriously, more than half the things available in 1st world countries can't even be found in 3rd world countries, and if they are the price is ridiculously high, so for them to see some of these and build their own is truly a blessing for them. Outside of the grinder, I'm sure a lot of the other things could be much easier to find.
Bro the belt grinder is literally less than $50 here. He's just showing how you can make one yourself. But yes the necessity is the mother of invention.

Someone could be watching this video on a dial-up computer from 98' in an old internet cafe, and see this and turn an old angle grinder that happened to be lying around into a crazy multi-tool for cheap. I'v seen how poor people in India and Pakistan make amazing things with little to nothing and some self-made tools, doing the job of a carpenter or stone-mason, and the result is on par with some stuff you would find in the US,UK or Canada.
America is heading to that 3rd world status at a rapid pace. Thanks to all the cry baby liberals who want 30 bucks an HR to mop floors and the Dems taxing the hell out of everyone while hiring 70,000 more IRS agents.

@@user-ew9uk8hi6u вот с кожей, скотчбрайтом терзают мутные сомненья, думаю двигатель слабоват будет, но смотрел человек подпускает натяжение ленты, даёт двигателю набрать обороты. Но в данном варианте вал ведомый меньшего диаметра и такой вариант не прокатит.

Nice little job there,but just a warning to you all,make sure the belts you use can take the same speed as the grinder runs,not many are good for 11,000+ rpm esp some belt sander belts

If an individual has access to the metal and fabricating equipment this is the way to go. but the cost of hiring this done would be less expensive to buy a top of line sander and keep working. Good video and excellent workmanship. thanks
