Blanca Turrubiate-Simpson testified in the Alex Murdaugh murder trial about her experiences at the home. She never saw the shirt and shoes the disgraced attorney was wearing in a video hours before his son and wife were killed after their deaths.

    • I agree. She is so much more than a housekeeper. She is a mother, a wife, a veteran, a productive member of society and a friend to the family. We need alot more people like Miss Bianca in this country and in this world. If that piece of crap Alex cared about anyone but himself, We wouldn't be watching this poor woman give testimony. That dirt bag should have just been a decent human being, father, husband, lawyer...he doesn't deserve to see the outside of a prison cell for the rest of his natural life. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if he got the death penalty to be honest.

  • This woman, I’m just impressed by her life. She’s got five kids. She got promoted like 4 times in 10 minutes. She’s a military veteran. She’s operated heavy machinery. And then she was a bilingual corrections officer working with gangs?! This woman gets after it. Sheesh. Though I’ve always appreciated and loved them, I feel like i may have generally misjudged housekeepers and Latina nannies. This woman is a superhero.

    • I agree Jonathan. And….overcame a stroke that debilitated her but no surprise she did rehab with intent to be fully back to her ‘old’ self! I think everyone needs a Blanca in our lives…….actually had my own….spectacular woman who had breast cancer and a different type cancer near vital structures of liver. She was born in China but family came over to states when Ada was young. They never removed her breast tumor…which felt like concrete truck had emptied contents all on upper left area and beyond and let it there. My friend died on 4th of July. She is with me in spirit…and things will happen like yellow butterflies that lets me know she is by my side. If Ada had been born Anglo…they would have done surgery. It took a lot of restraint not to confront her oncology surgeon who made those calls or lack there of…..and she is of Asian lineage….at Ada’s service at the Buddhist Temple. That also quietened my anger……if I wasn’t going to kill things small to huge…then I had to be better person.

    • After listening to the rambling, bumbling attorneys one almost envies the victims, but only cause they don’t have to sit through this. In really life I am so appalled at the sadness of the mother and son dying together and how awful it must be for the extended family. I do not include the accused in the above statement. It must be especially awful for the living older boy; he doesn’t want to be seen as abandoning his father, still he must have LOTS of doubts. And Paul, while not having anything to do with his father’s larceny, I guess, was far from a good guy, based on the post of his friends describing his personality and behavior, before and after the boat crashed. Seems like his whole family covered for him and got him out of trouble and he never had consequences; so he was NOT an attractive person. His friends should have shunned him for his behavior, but I guess his family and money kept them from that. He doesn’t seem like a great loss to the world. His parents got the kid they created. Seems like they did a better job with the older boy, or someone did. I wondered how the old guy squandered more than four and a half million dollars so quick, but seems like they had house and cabins and what not scattered over 2or 3 towns, plus paying for apartments for two sons in another town, remodeling one and paying for older boy’s college, but still he blew a lot of stolen money and didn’t even buy any hair dye. This case is exhausting.

  • “My Buster.” From a person who works in another’s home to another - I felt this. They don’t see us. They call us last in an emergency - like Alex calling Blanca just before she would have headed out. But we are there. We care, we love, we see. Those babies aren’t ours but you can’t spend years folding onesies to t-ball uniforms to t-shirts and not bond with the family. We see it all, we feed them their every meal, we scrub out every embarrassing stain, we tidy up every seemingly benign mess, but we are oddly unseen. Blanca knows. Anyone who worked at Mozelle or for the Murdaughs regularly, these are the people to question. “My Buster.” My heart is broken for you, Blanca. You did right by them.

I personally would not be comfortable, and I would be creeper out and afraid. I can't even believe her husband being a police officer would want to move in with her into a house where a murder had taken place! That's insane! The first person I would think that possibly could have killed her would have been her husband Alex. So why would I go there in the first place, nevermind move in! I know everyone is talking very nicely about this lady and I do think she's a nice lady, but I kind of feel like she's hiding something like she did wash the laundry, she did go over there and possibly help Alex. She may have been close to Maggie, but Maggie was not the one with the money. And she knew who is putting food on her plate, not Maggie! So she's kind of playing two decks of cards, in my opinion. I could be totally wrong, but these thoughts did come to me, as she spoke.

    • That depends. There are people I cleaned for that I did everything for, such as cook, clean, trash, laundry, errands, get kids from school etc. In those cases, I did know most aspects of thier lives, where everything is better than they do. Thrn there are clients I went in to specifically to clean for.I did my job and left. Never knowing anything about them. I especially enjoyed the families I got to know well. It must have been very difficult for Blanca the day after her employer and friend was ki11ed to have to go in and work her her job. That took strength.

Dogs need stimulation especially dogs trained to do a job. No wonder they were “rambunctious” and constantly attacking the birds anytime they were left out. No recall, no commands, poorly trained. Just bad handling all together. Proper training probably would have saved Gloria. It’s pretty obvious that Maggie didn’t feel like they were “just tools” but I am surprised she didn’t care more about their housing situation. My bet is that they were locked up quite a bit.

I'm also amazed that Alec Murdaugh chose such an inept attorney...CONSTANTLY leading each witness and unable to word a proper question, nonetheless the prosecutors simply drove me crazy with their constant objections...both sides made similar mistakes...and it is apparent that the law enforcement did a terrible job in securing the scene...NO ONE should have been allowed in that home before it had been examined and forensics taken place. That's a ghastly error...thru no fault of her own Blanca could have interfered with evidence. The police would be better trained just to watch TV court shows. Unbelievable!
