I grew up listening to Taylor Swift. Seeing the kids/teens in the crowd singing now with Olivia brings so much joy to my heart. I’m glad this new generation has someone like Her like we had/have Taylor. I’m 30 now and love Olivia’s songs as much as I love Taylor’s, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande.

Her live (here) is even better than her studio recording. Because she is able to to release all these raw storytelling ability and emotions live (without the need for perfecting any minor vocal technique issues) because that is what emotions do ( to your voice). The quivers in her voice are not a vocal flaw but the beauty of raw emotional storytelling. She is a good balance of both.

No one is going to talk about the fact this was her first live set?! Thats a huge crowd and it was obvious she was nervous. It wasn't perfect but wow, pretty incredible for your first live set. There are a TON of singers and bands who's first live set was a disaster, even now legendary singers and bands. Also respect that in the age of auto tune and endless backing tracks, this was a pretty straight forward live vocal with little enhancements. Would have helped if the sound guys had her mic at a normal volume but all in all, this is quite an incredible first live set. She has a bright future.

literally hearing the crowd yell the lyrics especially “DL” was so exciting!!! i just wish they turned up her mic bc sometimes it sounded like the instruments were louder than her
am i the only one appreciating that she’s out of breath and basically no back tracks? it feels so much more special with this vocal just bc she’s so into it. (obviously i agree she should work on it but i still appreciate the work she’s putting in)

Honestly I’m not like a die hard fan, but I know all her really popular songs(I feel like all of them are hits though) and a few extra and even I want to go to her show. Just sounds fun to belt out her songs with her.

it's different when an artist has a strong fanbase and general adoration, olivia has both
Her live (here) is even better than her studio recording. Because she is able to to release all these raw storytelling ability and emotions live (without the need for perfecting any minor vocal technique issues) because that is what emotions do ( to your voice). The quivers in her voice are not a vocal flaw but the beauty of raw emotional storytelling. She is a good balance of both.

No one is going to talk about the fact this was her first live set?! Thats a huge crowd and it was obvious she was nervous. It wasn't perfect but wow, pretty incredible for your first live set. There are a TON of singers and bands who's first live set was a disaster, even now legendary singers and bands. Also respect that in the age of auto tune and endless backing tracks, this was a pretty straight forward live vocal with little enhancements. Would have helped if the sound guys had her mic at a normal volume but all in all, this is quite an incredible first live set. She has a bright future.
You can hear that she doesn’t use auto tune like most artists do, yet she still sounds freaking amazing! Olivia has an amazing talent and I love the fact that she doesn’t use auto tune!!
She was absolutely using autotune during at least the first couple of songs. But I still love her and she does sound great! No shame in using autotune sometimes. It can enhance the performance.
