I love my bidet but a recent change in my mobility really requires a raised seat. The bidet started to not be able to shut off completely so I upgraded to a raised seat bidet. a nice and clean install. But if wasn’t broken I’d have considered this. I also tried those handles but didn’t’ like them. Crowded my space for my walker. Also didn’t like their wobble. So I installed really sturdy brackets for toilets on either side that mounted to the wall and floor. Much nicer installation! Got them on Amazon for about 30 bucks each. Looks professional. Super strong. I am a former remodeling contractor and a retired librarian and archivist with an eye for sturdy elegant solutions. Good luck, everyone!😊

Getting ready for my husband's THR. I just found that one of our wallkers (we have two) serves as a toilet hand rail! The front of the walker curves forward a little so it goes behind the toilet seat. Now I have a good reason to buy another one!! They have them all the time at Goodwill. Thank you for your videos! Thank you for this video and this site, in general. My mother, who has been using a raiser for years, wanted a bidet installed. I quickly realised that that riser she had would not work. PS: Forgot to add that one can get a hinged raiser now. The one I got works very well and allows one to clean the bowl without getting in the way of the bidet spout. I just followed your link to the raiser and Amazon had the hinged one on the website.

After watching this the other day then doing lots of online research for the kind of bidet seat or bidet attachment I wanted - but that would also fit on the usual seat riser like in your video, I found what I think is THE solution!! It’s called a toilevator. It’s a 3-1/2 inch base that is easily installed under the toilet! Costs about $90, not cheap, but it does enable you then to buy what ever bidet seat or attachment you want (because soo many on the market are not compatible with a seat riser). It also looks more attractive than having a riser on top of the seat, which is a bonus.

trying to find a video on the riser with the (full) bidet seat..bought as a set (elongated riser and alpha iX bidet seat) and per the instructions, i know the bidet seat goes on top of the riser but videos are so much more helpful.

Hi, we purchased the riser and bidet through your links and installed this setup this a.m. Worked out well. We are going to have the plumber do the bidet hook up because our connections are older, and we don't trust our lack of experience to troubleshoot problems. By the way, do you do consulting for home survey/surgery prep via zoom or such? Or in person (metro NY area)? If so, please advise and how to contact you.

I have a luxe 185 that I installed with my carex raised seat. But the water comes thru the seat and makes a mess on my floor! What am I doing wrong?
Can I get a riser that isn't as high. Perhaps one that works which is 2 1/2 inches high? I'm going to have hip replacement surgery in May. Thanks.

These products are pretty standard and really haven’t changed much in like 20 years. There are different types of bidets on the market that would work, but this variety is still going strong in my recent experience.

I’ve had to resort to replacing the toilet seat with traditional bolt setup to make this combination work. Otherwise, a clamp on raised toilet seat and a hand held bidet might be an alternative option.

Do you recommend teflon tape? A small piece came with my bidet but there was no mention of it in the indtructions
I didn’t use it for my install and it hasn’t leaked at all in almost a year.
I purchased a bidet for my disabled husband but when I tried to install it over the Medline Toilet Safety Rails already in place, the bolts were not long enough (we don't have a raised toilet seat, just the regular one). Can I get the longer bolts that will fit at hardware store, and will they work as well to hold everything in place? Thanks for this helpful video.
Yes, the hardware store will likely have a longer version of the bolts that you have on your current toilet seat (unless it's the plastic variety). Bring what came with the seat to the store with you and they can measure for exact size.
I am a bit confused as to why a versaframe would be installed along with this toilet seat riser when arms are included with the riser. Versaframes pose a potential tripping hazard. I also noted that the versaframe is wedged into the toilet paper roll, preventing easy access should a user need it (if they opt not to use the bidet feature). All that said, I do like the availability of a riser with a bidet feature.
First, the arm rests tat come with this particular riser do not work with the controls on the bidet, they cannot be used together. Second, my bathroom setup would be such that I would remove the versaframe handle from the vanity side of the toilet for that exact reason, but was attempting to show it totally assembled for generalizing to other bathroom layouts.
The toilet seat riser you're using is 3.5 inches. Do you think this bidet and frame combination would work with a 5 inch riser?
As long as the bidet line is long enough.
Can I install the LUXE Bidet Neo 320 (with Hot and Cold Water) in this same way?
You will have to access the hot water line that goes to your sink, but other than that step it’s very much the same.
Did your toilet sit close properly did you have to add bumpers to underneath of the toilet sit?
I added bumpers under the seat to keep it level.
Are ADA toilets not high enough for a petite size senior?
An ADA height might be tall enough for a petite senior to use comfortably. I would say anyone under 5’4” would be ok with a comfort height.

Have you found that BSC over toilets will still work with a bidet? Is the stream high enough? Or is the stream high enough to use with rolling shower/toilet seat? Mainly asking to use with a patient with ALS
No, I don’t think a BSC alone with a toilet mounted bidet will reach. What I’ve been toying with a low profile bolt-on RTS with the bidet mounted on it and then the BSC over top. I haven’t actually put this together yet, but this is my theory.
