    @tori_hill7616@tori_hill76165 жыл бұрын
    • You didn't get triggered. You merely felt bad empathizing with the activity. If it passes, you are okay. If this made you debilitated in your life, see a psychiatrist. If not, you merely felt feelings. Triggers are specific instances that cause mental illness to manifest and cause debilitating symptoms in a person's life. If you are truly triggered by this, stop watching and stay away. Go to your psychiatrist and discuss your treatment.

    @hi-bi4780@hi-bi47804 жыл бұрын
    • no it's the owner's way to get more money i think because more people want to buy cheap things than expensive things

      @audreysmit3731@audreysmit37314 жыл бұрын
    • One would think so, 😂😂😂❗ But actually Dollar Store 'Retailing Strategies' ARE NOT actually 'cheap' (unless you're quite wealthy and I'm sure you know well that numerous people aren't wealthy, especially since CV-19.) Their retail strategy is to charge minimal prices for let's just say 'Lower Quality Goods' that will support TEMPORARY / MEANWHILE consumer usage. Yet,....the real kicker....the real Profit Makers are: ▪︎ Manufacturer Overruns; _ ▪︎Retailer Ordered Inventory Offsets (meaning store ordered more than he/she figured could actually sale); _ ▪︎ Un-expirable Liquidated Goods that may not meet Retailer/Mfr. Quality Control standards but items are still useable for temporary usage. Sometimes it's as simple as a teeny thread of plastic hanging from the bottom of a plastic container that a retailer will say it's "Not Suitable". The other Profit Center for Dollar Stores is: CLOTHING/apparel. Cheaper than most retailer's except Walmart. But again it may be simply that the threading was snagged or bunched in one unseeable area. Or that the way the pattern was cut is a wee bit off the mark! Simple stuff that really doesn't matter to most people except the millionaires.

    • Really even if they're water resistant?

      @MichellesdesignsEtc@MichellesdesignsEtc5 жыл бұрын
    • @@MichellesdesignsEtc Yes. No phone is totally water proof on it's own. The moisture in the air eventually gets into the phone and causes damage. It might take longer if the phone is water resistant or in a water proof case. But in general people don't realize the moist bathroom environment damages their phones so much.

    • It's a totally dumbass idea to begin with...Someone so hooked on their phone/tablet etc needs to GET A LIFE and realize life existed just fine BEFORE ALL THE PHONES AND COMPUTERIZED SHIT was introduced. Im glad I'm over 45 & didn't grow up with a device ruling my life...my generation has better people skills. Over 1/2 of these ideas are totally lame and a waste of time & in some cases money

    • @@shellwalsh3317 You sound like a bitter old lady, atleast my generation isn't so hateful and judgmental about how OTHER people spend their lives. Focus on yourself just because people want to multitask in their showers. How dull your life must be that you have to be so hateful to an entire generation just for enjoying scientific renovations in the world. Generations before you also didn't have toilet paper or proper running water, and had way more women dying in childbirth. Revel in science and the fantastic world around you instead of focusing on the past and being bitter about the modern age.

  • Some of these seemed really dumb to me. By the time & effort put into some of these things, they might as well gone out & purchased the item they made. The ones that really floored me though were the ways to keep your cell phone handy while in the shower. If you can't be away from your cell phone long enough to take a shower, something is really wrong. For me my shower is not only a time to get clean, but it's also a time to relax & ease gently into my day. If you need your cell accessible even during your shower, it's time to reprioritize. I liked the tutorial on cleaning the curling iron & the hairbrush, they were really helpful.

I live alone and worry that something may happen where I need help but can't get to a phone, a good example of this was in September when I was unwell and ended up fainting in the shower I really hurt my knee but thankfully I could reach my phone and call for help. Thankfully it was just some severe bruising and I was fine within a couple of hours but it could have been much worse and lord knows how long it would have taken for someone to realise I hadn't been heard from in a while.

  • Boiling food in a ziploc bag is probably not a good idea. Chemicals can leach into the food, like BPA.

    @maddiek9961@maddiek99615 жыл бұрын
    • Maddie K You can use Ziploc brand freezer bags (without the little zipper closure) to cook omelets, scrambled eggs, etc in boiling water or pour boiling water into for instant mashed potatoes or quinoa with bacon bits that have been transferred into them. Other brands or the regular Ziploc bags will leak. I've done it several times with my pocket stove when camping since I was taught how to by my local park district, which supports recycling and conservation, and trains thousands of people annually on proper backpacking, camping, hiking, and camp cooking techniques.

    • I make baggie omelets all the time and they're SO good but you have to follow a recipe: 2 eggs into a quart-size freezer bag plus whatever other solids (no liquids) you want - ham, cheese, peppers etc. Mix well and squeeze out all the air. Boil for 13 minutes, remove bag and cut it open and plop out a perfect omelet. Delicious with salsa but add it after the omelet is cooked or it'll be runny. The best part is that you can prepare and refrigerate them the night before with whatever ingredients each member of the family likes in them - such a quick and easy breakfast the next morning and very little to clean up. Enjoy!
