  • I am not a law enforcer but I'm thinking of getting this for self defense, i'am an engineer and mountain leader often volunteering for many charities. This torch ticks all the boxes both lumens , range and size. I can benefit for it's dual use purpose. The search and rescue on this will be amazing. I hope I win :)

  • I have a few different Nitecore flashlights for different applications throw, flood and colour. One thing I realised when we had a bad storm come through was with a flashlight, one hand was tied up to hold the light, making it hard to clear the road of trees. This would complement my kit, freeing my hands and illuminating the night.

  • The HC65 UHE looks like a great option to use as a duty light for search & rescue, medical, and law enforcement. For those situations, high CRI, red light, floodlight, and long runtimes are a must. I own several different headlights from Fenix, Olight, and Nitecore. In several kits or bags, I keep a simple Nitecore NU10 or similar 'cheap' value model as a backup. Personally, I prefer high CRI lights. I don't see where a cool white light with poor color rendering could have an advantage over a high CRI light. I would rather sacrifice a few lumens and be able to get a more accurate picture with the true colors. Just my preference.

  • I’m at avionics aircraft technician. I’ve been using the HC60 since 2017 and it has served me well over the years but recently the battery has deteriorated by abit. This new HC65 will be much better for my field of work during my night shifts working in pitch black conditions in dead aircraft MECs or remote taxiways. 😊

  • Hey! I was using a very old headlight. It is an energizer light. It runs on 3AAA batteries and I always use it during a night bike ride in the forest. I always find the battery running out after a couple hours, even when I'm on the lowest mode. I had my eyes on the HC65 UHE for a very long time right now, and it looks very promising! This light would be so useful during a camping trip, when I need to look for directions at night, and can be good for self-defense. Thank you guys for innovating and improving the light market! Thank you Nitecore!

  • I'm currently using this HC65UHE headlamp and coincidently today is my 1st day of use. Primary I'll be using it as a mountain biking trail/ offroad headlight. Pairing it with the HLB40 bracket with GoPro mount on the handlebars is excellent. No vibrations or whatsoever. They are flush with the Stem and Handlebars resulting in very sleek looking cockpit. Although this is a flood light, "twisting" the lamp facing downwards won't blind oncoming pedestrians when I'm on PCN or Green Corridor. I'm also pairing it together with a MH15 mounted on helmet for a more "Spot" light throw. But mainly is the powerbank features that I will be carrying in case I need charging up other electronics. And I'm awaiting the arrival of most important device, The e-pump EBP10mini by Nitecore too. Thus, these 3 items will be my EDC for my MTB night rides.

  • I am using an hc33. This will be a great upgrade to my existing headlamp. I notice the ease of use by just pulling out the hc65uhe and replace the battery is a great improvement. The biggest problem with my hc33 is changing the battery as removing it from the rubber mount is very difficult. Pointing it upwards is also difficult so as not to blind the person beside you when talking. This solves one of the biggest challenges when working at night where changing the battery will be made more convenient, and adjusting the light angle is a breeze.

  • Best review of this light I've seen. I've been a big fan of my HC68 I bought over two years ago. I work doing HVAC repairs and installation and have worn it comfortably on my forehead for hours. Light is always where I need it. Unfortunately the lens is melting a bit just like what you showed in the video. Almost $90 after a discount two years ago. But I've been extremely happy with it. I bought a couple extra batteries but they're starting to wear out physically even though I bought a travel case for them. I was debating whether to update and the HC65 UHE really seems like the next step logically for me. I've never washed the headband on my HC68 so it is a little gross but was afraid it wouldn't hold up in the washer. All the upgrades you showed and what they replace on the older styles are all the complaints I probably have for the HC68 I use and I use it daily. I usually just throw my hand over the light when I need to talk to someone or just turn it off which is inconvenient when I'm actually in an unlit room. Turning it up or down is not the easiest task. Separating the light from the band has never been realistic to me due to putting it back on. The buttons on top feel the same and it's a hastle to take off just to find the buttons so I spend a few seconds "feeling" so I can find the right one. Charging the batteries always take place at home where I do have an older charger which probably needs to be upgraded. I generally don't bring the headlamp home but I'll throw the battery in my personal vehicle to bring home with me after work to charge. One thing I wish you did include in your review is the battery type used for this new HC65 UHE. I'll probably order a couple extra batteries for this but I know batteries keep getting updated and my old batteries may not work with the new headlamp. I did get batteries mixed up when I ordered an EDC awhile back and couldn't use the extra battery due to a different application that battery was used for. A simple misreading of letters after the numbers on the batteries is kinda a costly mistake. Physically it was too long for the flashlight. Overall, NiteCore have been great flashlights and hold up to the abuse everyday use calls for. I've dropped them off tops of ten foot ladders onto concrete and was sure they were broken. Or just bumping the flashlight and the lens holds up. Anyway, thanks for a great review and anxious to receive my new HC65 UHE when it arrives.

  • I've been running the hc60 v1 on my MTB helmet for the past 4 years now. 1, It's bright enough to not need a handlebar mounted light. 2, the 18650 has enough capacity to make several journeys before it needs recharging. 3, I can replace the battery if it wares out. And 4. when attached to a MTB helmet using one wrap, it's much cleaner looking than any head mounted MTB light currently available. I'm hoping the hc65 is lighter so it doesn't pull my helmet down and of course a removable 18650, so I can change it in the field or when the battery wears out. Oh and the angle mechanism looks ideal when cycling!

  • Wow! So much thought has gone into the design of this headlamp, I think this would be great for my use. I’m already using the Nitecore HC68 which is really great, but I think this one will be even better. The swivel feature, being able to use with a power bank are brilliant for me as I need long use times at relatively high lumens. For 6 weeks every year I participate in helping amphibians during their migrations across busy streets. So the swivel feature is great to prevent blinding drivers, high lumens for hours is fantastic as I need a lot of light for 5 to 6 hours every evening. This ticks every box!! Great stuff Nitecore!!

  • Thank you for the EDC35! It has been working so well. I hope there is no need to use the Lumin Shield on somebody. This headlamp looks like my dream headlamp minus the fact that it has the flappy usb port cover. I prefer screw down cover for more waterproofing. It may not be meant for underwater work but sometimes when we want to wash it under running water, the flap does not bring much sense of security. I wish to see next version to have screw down cover. I wish to see screw down cover for TIKI too. I have been using the small but mighty TIKI but the flap is the major concern when I want to wash it. Thank you again for the great EDC35. Hope to see improved version of TIKI soon.

  • I'm using the pokiseed pro 1500 headlamp for work I got from Amazon. I am an airport airplane mechanic that works night shift so a headlamp and flashlight is crucial for my everyday work. It allows me to be able to inspect the aircrafts properly and able to have both hands free to do jobs like a tire change, oil servicing etc. With out a headlight it would almost be impossible to find any issues with the aircrafts I'm assigned to at night.

  • Clips! The headlamp NEEDS to have clips for hard hats! I got one and was super excited to install it on my hard hat and was extremely disappointed to the part that I was about to send it back because it wouldn’t be secured on the hardhat. But luckily, I was able to salvage the four clips from my previous headlamp. And I am using the headlamp everyday at work in the oilfields.

I use a headlamp from a store which is not very good quality, it lights up when it wants to and of course it is not at all comparable to even the cheapest headlamps, the headlamp is very useful, not only at work, but also in the evenings Walks, I really like to ride my bike in the evening because it's fun, my headlamp is not enough for that, so I have to attach a flashlight to my handlebars, good luck to all competitors and a great video!

When I put my HC65 UHE to charge and try to use it after removing the charger, it doesn't turn on. I can only get it to turn on if I open the battery cover and close it again. • I actually have a no-name (assume generic chinese) brand headlamp. It's pretty heavy. I can't really adjust the lamp intensity. I have no idea of the specs, it doesn't mention them anywhere. I primarily use it to hunt invasive pest snails that only come out in the late evening or night. Can spend up to an hour doing this. I would welcome a lighter headlamp with more variability in the brightness intensity as well as the natural CRI lighting. The snails can kind of be hard to spot because of their colouring. They only have very thin striations with a different colour which I assume would be helluva lot easier to pick up in natural light rather than a bright white light.

  • I was researching for durable lights to get for mountain hikes and the Nitecore brand seems pretty synonymous with lights. I stumbled upon your channel from your website. Guess it's time to slip down yet another rabbit hole. I have been using my 1800 lumen front bicycle light for my hikes so far and it has been far from ideal, so I decided to look into getting a good quality headlamp since I'll be going for more adventurous hikes from now on. The HC65 UHE seems like an ideal fit for what I was looking for, especially with that neat and sleek 8-led configuration (would most definitely help with reduction of heat generation). Not to mention, the 8-led red light seem so friggin' awesome. That clicky easy angle adjustment is simply music to my ears. I love how the battery is swappable, and how the headlamp can be taken apart so conveniently for cleaning and maintenance. Overall this seems like it would be a great addition to my starting arsenal. I was wondering which torch would you recommend to pair with the HC65 UHE? Would love to get one preferably with a clip, auxiliary red light, and magnetic tailcap. Would an extra camp light be recommended as well? Overall, awesome video review, though I have a little suggestion. I know it might be a little troublesome for you guys to do, but it would be great if every video has like a section wear you do an IRL demo of the lights in a real life setting. I know it might be kinda tough to do in Singapore, but I think it would be tremendously helpful for people who are new to such equipment. On a sidenote, I think it's really beneficial that you guys offer split payments on your website!
