iPhone is terrifying.. Here's the story: I just bought regular 15 last month and that's my only Apple device but suddenly now all my other gadgets are Apple (MacBook, AirPods, Apple Watch)
That’s how it happened to me as well. I get scared sometimes on how I’m so tied up in Apples ecosystem lol but it just works so well that I could never try Android even though I’m obsessed with trying out the S24 Ultra. I’ll probably never be able to make the switch.

You should only need to switch ecosystems if you are not working well with your current one. I don’t see why you should need to have products from all different brands when buying one brand works better every time.

Same here. Just love the ecosystem. Have iPhone, iPad Air, Macbook Air, Apple TV, and Homepod Mini. Just love how all these gadgets communicate with one another.
S10e with the 5.8" screen still going strong! My favorite feature is the MicroSD card slot which I switch out the 512gb microSD card every time it's filled up! Currently on card number 5!

agree! same here.... want a Pro version with *a terminal for programming *full music studio production with Logic Pro! I Iove the small form factor ; it fits my pant pockets perfectly! just wish I could call with it and replace an iPhone as well as function like a laptop so one could use the real terminal from MacBook with it and sp do all programming and networking jobs from it remotely... that would just be so cool! If one then could exchange the battery it would then be the only Pro I would need for ever! Common Apple, let's go Party! 🥳

@framestomind7548 I used an international version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 8" Phablet for about 4 years as my main daily driver phone/tablet (# SM-T715Y) until AT&T simply decided that they would no longer "allow" it to work on their cellular network *just* because they didn't have the IMEI in their "approved device" database, FFS. It still has all of the necessary GSM & LTE bands to continue working on their network, and many others internationally. AT&T just "cut it off" one day and I noticed that I stopped receiving texts & calls out of the blue with no warning from AT&T. :mad: It was Samsung's iPad Mini competitor. It fit perfectly in my pockets even with their OEM bookcase cover, and was a lot of the things you desire from a Mini now. Yeah, it looked a little funny if I held it up to my ear for a call, but I usually used Airpods or the speakerphone, or Bluetooth in the car, so it wasn't an issue at all. You could root it as well for dev work and use it in Samsung's "DEX" desktop mode as a laptop replacement (I had MS Office on it, among other productivity apps). It worked brilliantly as the Live View remote & control for my Canon EOS Professional dSLR still photography & video cameras. It was great for "Facetime" via Whatsapp, and the cameras were actually quite decent. Perfect of course for watching KZhead videos on the go as well, add beautiful for Google Maps and NAV/Android Auto in the car. It is incredibly thin and lightweight with a gorgeous 8" SuperAMOLED display and very respectable battery life. Also had a microSD memory card slot, of course, and was a fully unlocked GSM LTE phone with swappable SIM for when I traveled internationally. BRILLIANT device, and now I've stripped it down and am using it as my music & movie server/controller in my high-end home stereo/HT system. The only thing it didn't have that I wanted was Wireless Charging. Otherwise it was perfect (for me). ...Oh, and I also used it as my DAW remote with my MOTU 8 PRE ES audio interface with their browser-based control interface for my drum kit and saxophone recording in my home studio.
I'm waiting on news about the vision pro.
Got a 13 Pro Max at the moment and was going to upgrade to the 15 at Christmas time. But after all the info coming out about actual upgrades for the 16, I think I'll wait to upgrade until the 16 is out. In between the upgraded camera of the 15 and the screen real estate improvements on the 16, I can wait a little while longer.

By the time 16 comes out the 17 will be six months away so you might as well wait for that one….. and the next … and the next one, etc………. They come out with new versions so fast anymore it’s hardly worth buying one ……

I hate how huge the Dynamic Island is. It takes up too much screen space. I would love for it to be made way smaller or gone completely.
Now that I understand what RCS is, it is a plus that Apple is adopting it, although, to me it’s not a game changer. It is always good when competitors (Apple and Android) work together to make the world a better place for consumers. It would be great to see countries working to make this world a better place!

I use Siri all the time to do local iPhone functions. It’s incredibly useful. People expect Siri to be a LLM and it’s just not right now.

@@dillon3974 unfortunately money doesn't buy you a better product. You need great product leadership, and money can help you get the right people, but the right people still need to be selected. That was Apples competitive advantage under Steve Jobs, that had the best product executives. I'm not sure if thats still the case. We will see though.
I’m so glad to hear that they are gonna try and make Siri better. I as well don’t use our home pod because she’s not very accurate. I wish the home pod was more like Alexa 😅. I hope it’s not the user that’s the problem lol😂

iPhone 16…bigger is better? I come from a generation where, back in the 80’s, I had to carry a mobile phone the size of a house-brick (in the UK, that is quite large!). I don’t need a big iPhone, my 13 mini fits in my pocket perfectly. If I want the real estate of a big screen, my iPad 12.9 Pro does that for me. Please Tim, consider a 17 mini as I’m sure there is a market for an iPhone that isn’t the size of a house-brick!

Thank you for the video and the great info. This info excites me because I'm an Android user and last month I finally made the choice to switch to iPhone 15 pro max however I sent the iphone back and ended up keeping my Android. When trying to transfer my data (text messages to be specific) from Android to iphone, it was the worst experience. For example, in a text thread conversation with someone, only half the feed transfered over to the iPhone so when I opened up a text feed, for example with my mom, it looked like it was a one way conversation. All of my moms messages appeared and all my responses to her messages were not there. I took the phones to Apple to find out if there was a solution (other thatn using the Move to IOS app) and they actually told me it has something to do with the different softwares being used between iphone and android.. They told me Android actually uses advance SMS technology. So my question is, now that apple will be transitioning to RCS, does this mean when transfering data (text messages) from android to iphone, it should be more seemless when it comes to text messages transfering over???
Siri really needs to improve on its device security the is to much vulnerabilities when it comes to personal data and privacy once Siri get compromised
I hated the “Plus” size iPhones back in the day, and now I need a bigger device. The 4.7” was always small and sleek, but once you go with a bigger phone, there no going back. I actually wouldn’t mind an even bigger version 😅 edit: comment kinda confusing, i use an iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 13PM both daily drivers

For me it's the complete opposite. For a big phone, I get a tablet. Simple as that. Now, I don't like mini phones either, but the regular sized Android and iPhones just fit on my pocket.
Ime phones are getting too big. And the best features are usually reserved for the bigger one. Not cool. Still prefer 1 hand operation. Now just need someone not apple or Google to notice and roll out a nice set that's not humongous

If the iPhone 16 max is 6.9, I may switch from my s22 ultra to it. Been wanting to switch to apple for awhile now. Hopefully 16 pro max will be worth it. Guess I'll have to wait for actual footage and reviews of it.
It will most likely be worth it. I'm not an iPhone user at all, I dumped apple years ago, but even now I recommend the 14 pro max, AVOID the 15, or if you have an 11 or older wait for the 16 instead, also the 15 still has hardware issues, even if software could fix or limit things, you're not using the hardware to it's full advantage.
Supposedly Apple is supposed to be adding a new phone to their lineup called the iPhone 16 ultra. We’re still not sure if this is going to replace the promax version and they’re just gonna rename it to the ultra but the iPhone 16 is supposed to be the next major upgrade above the 13, 14 and 15 and better to wait till next year for this one.. Hope that helps.

It's not "going to be", it HAS been part of the spec. It's a requirement for a device to be certified as 5G. We can only assume Apple had some sort of grace period, because the GSMA has been pretty clear that this IS a 5G requirement
Very excited for RCS I have been iPhone for years and and this will help me so much with family who use android phones and not use whatts app , I use that for overseas friends. Love Apple I have had a iPhone since second gen iPhone never look back
As one of those overseas friends that has American friends (not you - just in general) - If someone messages me normally I usually delete & block them because it's most likely a scam. So people won't reach me with normal messages anyway, because that is sus. Don't do that to an European, even one with an iphone and expect a reply because we don't look in there for anything important but 2FA.

I live in Japan and I am one of nine siblings, eight of which are in the US. We have a group chat with all of the siblings which we use for family news and such. I used to be in the group but, once I moved to Japan, I had to leave the group because all of the android users kept getting charged when they post a message and it has to go to me in Japan. With this new change, will there no longer be any fees associated with sending texts overseas?

I hope that apple does not ditch the small iphones all together. I hate big cell phones and would probably switch back to android if it means keeping a small phone. 4.7 or 5.4 inch screen is plenty big enough for me plus it fits comfortably in my pocket. If i want a big screen i will grab my tablet or laptop.
Locking individual apps is DOPE!!! If we can set individual codes for them, or disable the device passcode and only have biometric to unlock it, that would mean a return of the multiple trust levels we once had back when apps had their own built-in PIN locks. Trust people with the Lock Screen code, but not certain apps!
I don't think RCS will get Android users to make the switch, actually it would be more likely for iPhone users to switch. I know a lot of people that iMessage is the only thing that keeps them from making the switch.
As a pixel user and an iPhone 15 pro user I have to say google assistant is hands down way more useful than Siri. Siri has to be way better and do better.

I have been an Apple evangelist since 1983 when I got an Apple IIe. I worked for Apple for 13 years as an Apple Creative and I still love the brand. I use an M1 Macbook Air, an iPad Air 4, an Apple Watch 6, Airpods 2 a Homepod Mini and my trusty iPhone 7. I just cannot be ignored anymore so sadly had to go Android. All I can say is come on over...the water's fine. My Sony is utterly absolutely brilliant. No regrets. Apple need to fully support this platform with all their apps and software features, especially Apple Music which won't let me play all the music I've bought for years. Apple supported Windows for the iPod and released Safari on Windows and iCloud and so forth. If the company just let go and showed all other platforms just how amazing the Apple experience is instead of jealously guarding their ecosystem like Smaug wrapped around a giant pile of gold they would get even more converts and the whole world would benefit from Apple innovation instead of the lucky few who can afford it...which is very few sadly. Open the flood gates Tim. It's time.

I'm using the Samsung Fold 4 and every iPhone user who sees the stuff my device can knows they're missing out. RSC is only now being adopted like many other things Apple is lazy to implement yet charge crazy money for budget tec. BTW my Fold cost more than iPhones so it's not about the money.
@@MFizzle777Is never been about the money for me too. I'm an Android user since 2011 and I've never even considered using an iPhones. Sadly, I also have a 12.9" iPad pro because I decided to try an Apple product and this thing will probably be the last Apple product I ever buy. It's an absolute joke that for the same price as aTab S8 Ultra, I get a worse display with a dumb aspect ratio that isn't even supported by Apple TV so I get black bars on all content. It has haloing when watching content at night and every once in a while it needs a restart in order to accept a charge or connect to an external storage device. Sure you get the M1 chip but they hamstrung it with software restrictions to force you to buy a MacBook Air if you need to get any real work done. So, Apple, after trying your products, I'm sorry to say you're full of it.

A smaller capsule cutout is definitely better for screen real estate. A better and more accurate Siri will be profitable because all tasks will be executed with greater satisfaction and people will be compelled to use Siri more often. 😎💯👊🏾👍🏾. Imagine a world where Siri is just perfect it'll be mesmerising 😊! Right now I'd love to own a 12" tablet over a 10" tablet. I think a 11 inch & 12 inch should be standardized over a 10 inch tablet.
I think RCS only makes sense, because iMessage is STILL better and doesn't take away from iPhones making it that much more desirable. Androids are not going to get anything Apple unless it's a separate app in the market.
I am hearing often the Siri is terrible. I have to put my two cents in. I use both Seri and Alexa and find that both are useful. I use Seri mainly in my with CarPlay and often in my home. Alexa is used mainly in my home with the Alexa App and Echo Devices. I would be using Apple Home Pods but the Echo Came out first and I just got into that eco system at that time. Basically, what I am saying is that I don’t see what so many mean when they say that Siri is so terrible. She is helpful and fine to me!
When you tried a folding phone (unfortunately only on Android for now), there's no going back to a single screen phone. Watching this and commenting on Oppo Find N3 fold (One+ Open) tablet screen. Then just close it and into pocket. So sad that Apple has lost it's innovative touch. Banking on un-repairable products to make sales. Less and less wow with each passing year. I was iphone user once, since iphone1. Switched to Android because Apple didn't make dual sim and microSD memory expansion phones back then. Just a Mac user.

The Android vs Apple texting argument is dumb. Half my family has android, half has Apple. We text ALL THE TIME and have no trouble. People are weird.

I agree tha Siri totally sux. I use it all the time to dictate my emails, texts and other conversations on my iPad and it’s language recognition totally sux and it’s grammar abd punctuation is abysmal too. When I sa the word “HAS” it always types it out as “HASS” which is a brand name for some Avocados!!! ! (I don’t even eat Avocados - have never had one)As for the punctuation, it puts commas everywhere when you take a breath or pause and it throws in periods everywhere too!

Had MBA M1, M2, and soon MBP M3 PRO, IPad PRO, IPad Air, uncountable amount base IPAD for the kids, and also multiple apple watches, because they are simply best in class. but today I daily drive Android, and kept my iphone as spare, because Iphone simply haven't been best in class for many years. So now my Watch dont speak to my phone, quite dumb I know, but can't be helped. RCS support will make my exile feel more comfortable.
I feel like apple is going to incorporate Face ID and the front camera in one in order to achieve that smaller pull or camera cut out. I really would love for Apple to improve and a no camera display so they can be the first of few to do it instead of doing it last and staying behind everyone. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
